Florence + The Machine recently released a cover of Vera Lynn‘s 1942 classic, “White Cliffs Of Dover.”
The cover, in which Florence Welch puts her own signature spin on the song, will feature on Jack Antonoff‘s official soundtrack for The New Look.
“There’ll be bluebirds over The white cliffs of Dover/ Tomorrow, just you wait and see/ There’ll be love and laughter/ And peace ever after/ Tomorrow, when the world is free,” Welch sings.
The upcoming soundtrack has been described as an “immersive, contemporary” release, curated and produced by the Bleacher‘s frontman. The soundtrack will also feature Lana Del Rey, The 1975, Beabadoobee, Nick Cave, Perfume Genius and several other artists covering popular early to mid-twentieth-century songs.
The New Look will arrive globally on Apple TV+ on February 14 and span across 10 episodes.
