Join Us for the 2024 Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk!

Location: Maple School, 2370 Shermer Road, Northbrook, IL
Event Highlights:
- 5K Run: Lace up your sneakers and tackle the scenic 5K route, starting at 8am.
- 1 Mile Run: A shorter option for those who prefer a brisk mile, beginning at 9 am.
- Little Lew 50-Yard Dash: Calling all little sprinters (ages 6 and under)! Dash your way to the finish line at 9:30 am.
- Smile Mile: Capture your race-day smiles at Mile 2, sponsored by Dentistry For Kids, Ltd. Our photographer will snap your victorious moments and share them on the Lew Blond Run’s Instagram.
Why Run? The Lew Blond Memorial 5K honors the memory of Lew Blond, an exceptional Maple School teacher who dedicated his life to the applied arts. His impact on students, colleagues, and parents remains cherished. Proceeds from this event benefit ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) research through the Les Turner ALS Foundation, fund high school scholarships at Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South High Schools, and support special District 30 projects. Let’s run, remember, and make a difference!
