Rock band The Used have announced they will release a deluxe b-sides album, Medz, on June 21st via Big Noise.
The upcoming record will feature eight new songs, including previously released singles “People Are Vomit” and “F*** You.” The songs are from The Used’s Toxic Positivity writing sessions with John Feldmann during 2022 – 2023.
“Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say ‘My tooth is aching’ than to say ‘My heart is broken,'” said vocalist Bert McCracken, sharing a quote from C.S. Lewis, to give a deeper meaning to the collection of b-sides. The Used also released “Medz,” the title track from the upcoming album on Friday.
