The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says we will most likely see a wetter than average season thanks to La Niña, which is Spanish for, the Niña. During the years affected by La Niña, including this one, we see colder temps and higher winds, which changes weather globally, i.e. the Great Lakes region especially. 5 Things this flight attendant swears she would NEVER do on a flight
This flight attendant has many years of working as a crew member under her belt so she’s seen a lot. And even though the planes are cleaned after every flight, she still would recommend these tips to anyone getting on one. Here are five things that you should never do when flying. They’re just nasty!
1- Use the bathroom without any shoes on- it’s not water on the floor. But who is using the bathroom without shoes on? Gross guys!
2- Fall asleep on the window. Thousands of people have had access to this little space. Even if it’s been a little bit cleaned, it’s probably not even enough.
3- Don’t touch anything in the bathroom with your bare hands. This makes sense given the previous statement. Especially avoid the button/handle to flush the toilet! Use a Kleenex to touch that!
4- Sanitize the tray table. If you’re gonna eat on it, you wan it clean. Use your one disinfectant wipe for that!
5- Don’t join the mile high club. That was cool in the 70’s when bathrooms were bigger. Knock it off.
Visit the Tunnel of Terror, the only haunted car wash in Illinois
Tommy’s Express Car Wash’s Tunnel of Terror in Orland Park is happening October 28-30th. Get your car cleaned and get a haunting experience from 6p-10p each night. General manager Chris Kantzioris has gone all out this year for their 2nd annual event. He said there will be animatronics, inflatables, fog machines, strobe lights, LEDs and plenty of costumed characters that are both creepy and cute. They even added an element so that your car can tune into a radio station that’s scary during the haunted drive. The Tunnel of Terror car wash is located at 15819 Wolf Rd. in Orland Park. It lasts a few nights so get in while you can!

This is it! The recipe that Olivia Wilde used to woo Jason Sudekis. Then she used it to show off for Harry Styles. Women love showcase their favorite recipes for their new boyfriends. It’s like saying, ‘hey look at me, I can cook!’ – even if we don’t that much. Unfortunately, this is also the recipe that allegedly sent Sudekis into a tailspin. When he found out that Olivia was making it for Harry, he wouldn’t let her leave the house and threw himself under the car to make her late on purpose. This is all according to their ex-nanny. In any event, this dressing must be pretty good if all of this IS true. Try it at home and watch the men come flocking into your kitchen ladies.
Olivia Wilde’s SPECIAL salad dressing:
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Pinch kosher salt
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- Olive oil, for emulsifying
To prepare the dressing, Wilde advises that you ‘add the red wine vinegar, a cheater’s mindset, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, no regard for your significant other, and garlic to a small bowl and mix to combine. In a slow steady stream, add 2 to 4 tablespoons olive oil, a dash of heartache too, stirring as you go to emulsify’.
Mixed greens are then tossed in the vinaigrette, before kalamata olives, feta, and cucumber are added.
The dish is then topped with salmon, zucchini, and potatoes.

This guy, Elijah, took a Hinge date, Lucy, to Chipotle. Their date went well, but they both agreed to not see each other for another date. Elijah paid for their meals. Later, Elijah called Lucy to ask if she could pony up for her half of the meal, seeing as they aren’t going to see each other again and all. 7 Things you shouldn’t do when you take your kids trick-or-treating
If you have a kid, you’re taking them trick-or-treating. People spend more money during Halloween than any other holiday, so everyone participates! But there are some rules, and there are some things you shouldn’t do. These are the 7 deadly sins of Halloween:
1- Scaring your kid- you know better than that! Halloween is fun for them, don’t freak them out!
2- Not taking safety seriously- make sure you’ve got a flashlight or a glowstick so you can locate the little nuggets in the dark.
3- Freaking out about people trying to slip drugs into your kids candy- this is not real, there are plenty of other things to worry about. Also, just let them enjoy their hard-earned candy.
4- Letting your kids be rude- Make them say “Trick-or-treat!” that’s the point. Don’t let them open the bag and expect some candy, have some respect!
5-Giving out candy with nuts- too many kids have allergies nowadays, don’t risk it.
6- Poor planning- if you have young kids, don’t go to far otherwise you’re gonna be carrying dead weight home.
7- Skip trick-or-treating altogether- you know your kid won’t stand for that!
‘A Christmas Story’ fans get a present early this year with ‘Ralphie’
THE holiday movie, ‘A Christmas Story’ is one of the best Christmas movies ever made. How do I know? TBS plays it all day on the actual holiday. It’s not official until you’ve watched the movie. Originally made in the 80’s, the film has been able to stand on it’s own for decades, but the people have spoken and they gave it a sequel. Hallelujah! Here is a sneak peek at the official teaser for the sequel called, ‘Ralphie.’
The film shows Ralphie (Billingsley) in the 1970s as an adult, who returns to the house on Cleveland Street to give his children an amazing Christmas like the one he had as a kid. Later, he reconnects with some of his friends he had growing up. Premieres on HBO Max, November 17th!

And here he is folks, today’s Mr. Karen. He’s yelling at amusement park ride operators for not letting his daughter on some rides. In this video, you can see him threaten to meet the worker in the parking lot (classic move) and possibly, “shut this b*tch down!” His frustration and freak out isn’t OK, these workers are just trying to do their job. She was too short; they were just following the rules to keep her safe. Someone needs to shut this guy down!

This Maine husband has gone viral for posting a hilarious list of reasons he’s apologized to his wife. Apparently, she gets mad at him for A LOT of things. “I went upstairs for the night without announcing it,” joked Leighton in one of the videos. He’s also apologized for the wind and messing a clean house. Then there’s my favorite, “A guy in a show we were watching cheated on his wife — and this led to a detailed explanation of what would happen to me in that situation.” Ha! ‘Chicago Sings Karaoke’ contest is in full effect, and Ali is in Round 1
Will I get out of Round 1? Absolutely not. The Chicago Sings Karaoke contest started a few weeks ago and has three rounds. It features dozens of local Chicago bars, and singers. All you need to do to be a part of it is be a Chicago resident. Easy enough! The prize? $5,000 baby! Last night, I went to All-Star Seafood on Clark to ‘participate’ not compete. The people that did sing, were all very talented. So I whipped out a crowd pleaser instead of being the fourth girl to try to attempt Adele. That never works out. Here’s my best shot at the ‘Chicago Sings Karaoke’ contest while dancing and half singing to Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Poison.” -Ali

The nanny that worked for Jason Sudekis and Olivia Wilde spilled the beans yesterday and came out with some information that does NOT make either party look good. If you haven’t heard, the couple have been split up for a while. Olivia Wilde just finished directing her movie “Don’t Worry Darling” which features hunk Harry Styles, her new beau. The question a lot of people are asking is when she broke up with Jason and actually started seeing Harry. Scandalous!

Being that it’s the band’s most recognizable song to date, it’s only fitting that lead singer Jonathan Davis name his new pet brand after it ‘Freak On A Leash’- clever. “Pan Solo” — California bakery makes 6-foot tall bread version of Star Wars character
A bakery in California has created a 6 foot tall replica of Han Solo frozen in carbonite — only he’s encased in something far more glutenous.
Yup, “Pan Solo.” Nothing but bread.
The sculpture was made by bakers in Benicia, California for a citywide scarecrow competition. And yes, that is — scary. Scary good.
