Some bad blood from last season’s playoffs spilled over into this season when the Rangers and Blue Jays met up on Sunday. Jose Bautista was hit by a pitch. He decided to get back at the Jays with a hard slide into second base and then the fists were flying.
So earlier today we all feared the worst and hoped for the best with the news of a sudden medical emergency involving Red Hot Chili Pepper’s frontman Anthony Kiedis who was rushed to a hospital shortly before his band was set for a headline spot. Flea and his bandmates Chad Smith and John Klinghoffer took the stage to tell the crowd that Kiedis was dealing with a medical issue and that the band was “devastated” that they could not perform. The band made a statement to ease concerns of the RHCP fans around the world today stating that Keidis was suffering from a flu and would have to postpone concerts scheduled for this week but he would soon make full recovery. Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis was sent to an area hospital hours before a headlining slot on May 14. Flea made the announcement from the stage and apologized on behalf of the band telling the crowd of nearly 16,000 that they were “devastated.”
According to a source Kiedis was taken from the venue in an ambulance suffering from extreme stomach pain. The exact nature of the problem is unknown at this time. (READ MORE HERE)

In the past few years there has been a growing trend of blogging adventures from abandoned places around the world, Â so a viral video posted last week from the former Nara Dreamland amusement park in Japan really captures this demented adventure in the best way possible.Â
Dreamland is already odd in that itâs a Disney-inspired knock off with an uncanny resemblance to the Sleeping Beauty castle and Mainstreet USA of the famous DisneyWorld park. Think of going to a real haunted house but throw on the color and charm of a place that was meant to be nothing but  family fun and all ages entertainment, that is what Dreamland looks like now. This is not a fairy tale with a happy ending though as the park was shuttered for good in 2006.

THIS LIST IS INCREDIBLE!! I must do my research. I’ve never wanted to get paid to be a food critic because I hate saying negative things about someone’s craft. If I didn’t like something I was meant to critique I would just hire Gordon Ramsay to say “It tasted like cold wet mush, AWFUL!!” I don’t like anyone to feel bad for creating. I WOULD however love to be a professional ‘Food Discoverer’. Or even sidekick to Anthony Bourdain. I could just roam the earth in search of amazing food. The first band to be announced for the Riot Fest lineup, The Original Misfits! Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only with Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein on guitar. This marks the first time in 33 years the band will be taking the stage together.

Two new TV shows will soon start filming in the Chicago area for FOX according to a report today by RedEye. The most noteable of the two is an adaption for TV of  the classic 70’s horror film and novel âThe Exorcistâ with veteran actress Geena Davis set in the starring role. If this is anything like the movie, I will hide from my TV like dog in a bathroom during a thunderstorm. If you have never seen this instant terror of a movie, well just take in the trailer to see what I mean.
The other planned show is âA.P.Bâ is a police drama and according to Variety itâs about  “tech billionaire who purchases a troubled police precinct in the wake of a loved oneâs murder.â Let’s just hope that Robocop can somehow be involved, or a knock-off version called Officer Robotic.Â
It is not clear yet when these shows will start filming but the productions have been confirmed by city officials. There is now six different shows filming in town. NBCâs âChicago P.D.â âChicago Medâ and âChicago Fireâ are still busy locally.  Netflix is shooting portions of the show â Senses8â this summer in the area along with Amazon who is going produce the dramatic series âPatriotâ.
Letâs hope this leads to extra work for everybody at 101WKQX so we can hang out in the background on camera, while people fight crime and demons…or demons who commit crimes?! New show idea: DEMON COP!Â
