After we won the 101WKQX SQUAD and I stayed on the air from locations all over town until 2 AM. The world was different now. THE CUBS HAD WON THE WORLD SERIES!! WE WENT ALL THE WAY!! Afterwords I decided to walk home through the city. On the way I met a few fellow Cubs fans all still in disbelief. See them here in my video.
The age old question “Is there life on other planets?” is raised once again with news coming from NASA today the Mars land rover Curosity has discovered what looks like an ‘egg’ recently on the surface of the Red Planet. Now the ‘egg’ is actually believed to be a metallic meteorite which would explain it’s shiniest surface, but this of course sent UFO and alien watchers into a panic, hoping the ‘egg’ hatches. NASA scientists have dubbed the object ‘Egg Rock’ which will only add more intrigue to it’s real nature. Scientists at the Mars Science Laboratory project who operate the rover, discovered the odd rock on October 27.
A year ago, water was discovered on Mars last year which could indicate actually organic life on the planet. More on that from DNews here.
Netflix Cheif Content Officer Ted Sarandos spoke with CNBC this week, and dropped a video on-demand bombshell: you can stream videos in the future without having to be online to do it. “We have talked a lot about this over the years and our belief is that broadband and Wi-Fi become more and more ubiquitous, available in more and more places that you are, more and more minutes of the day,” Sarandos said.
There is a catch though, the feature in it’s earliest stages will not be available in the U.S. Sarandos clarified why the feature will not first be available to American subscribers to the gigantic video service. “Now as we’ve launched in more territories … They all have different levels of broadband speeds and Wi-Fi access. So in those countries they have adapted their behaviors to be much more of a downloading culture. So in those emerging territories it starts to become a little more interesting. We still think for the developed world our thesis has been true but I think as we get into more and more (of the) undeveloped world and developing countries that we want to find alternatives for people to use Netflix easily.” So we may not be getting the convenience to download our favorite shows to watch on the go right away, but think how much data you will save by downloading on WI-FI when this becomes available?!
As 2016 nears it’s end, Netflix has expanded a lot recently reaching now 190 countries around the world with an added 3.2 million international subscribers. It’s going to get bigger and now apparently easier to use. This also will make it harder for all of us to leave the house right?

The mayor has announced Chicago will honor the World Series champion Chicago Cubs with a Friday parade.
Specifics are being worked out, but know that there will be “a parade to stand the test of time.”
The mayor had no specifics on the route, telling reporters “just stand in the middle of the street somewhere and you’ll see it.”
Asked whether the Chicago River will be dyed blue, he said he would like to do that, but wasn’t certain if it would work. “I want to do a lot of things,” Emanuel said.
Like take a party nap? Yes please.
I heard it will start in Wrigleyville and end downtown, via Lake Shore Drive, for a victory rally at Grant Park.
*UPDATE: Cubs official website has stated the parade will start at 10AM CST. Official word coming from the City of Chicago has the festivities starting at 10am leaving Wrigley Field with the parade starting around 11am making it’s way towards downtown with a rally celebration taking place in Grant Park around 12pm. Here is the specifics streets for the parade route direct from the City.

The Cubs being in the World Series has put Chicago on many more national platforms than we already were. Fallon had sandwiches from Mr. Beef express mailed to NYC for his guests Monday night.
From one Jake to another. The Cubs have their own Snake in pitching ace Jake Arrietta but most wrestling fan know the original Snake in the sports world.
In the video posted below, WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘the Snake’ Roberts cuts a helluva promo to hype the Cubs going into Game 6 of the World Series. The give-ya-the-feels video was posted today and shows off the Snake’s engaging ability to inspire and excite. It also reminds you how clever Roberts was as a legendary pro wrestling performer, where other legends like the Rock and Hulk Hogan would belt out their interviews to the rafter, this man slithers his point across real easy and effectively. Also it’s nice that he threatens to drop someone with a head-cracking DDT if the Cubbies don’t make it happen in tonight’s do-or-die game in Cleveland.
Twenty-One Pilots continue their victory lap of the uber-successful ‘Blurryface’ with a live album simply titled ‘Blurryface Live’ due out on November 25th. The album was recorded at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California and will be released as 3-piece vinyl set. Each disc in the set will be a ‘picture disc’ featuring a live pristine shot of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun performing live. There is currently no word just yet on if the album will be released digitally for streaming, so it might be good reason for you Clique members to invest in a record player now. Pre-orders are already available which include a special t-shirt, check those out here.
Tyler and Josh continue to be out and about later this month with a performance November 20th on the American Music Awards. Their arena-extravaganza ‘Emotional Roadshow’ tour returns to the United Center for a sold-out show on January 28th, ENTER TO WIN TICKETS FOR THAT HERE.

He’s done petting zoos, themed road trips and even kept the players away from the stadium until later in the day in order to help them get a little time away from the stress.

Youtube creators Leigh Lahav and Oren Mendez on their channel OnlyLeigh have made one of the most entertaining and on-point mash-ups with their ‘Merry Christmas, Will Byers’. It gracefully places together the Netflix coming-of-age sci-fi series with the classic Charlie Brown cartoon down to the dancing, adult discussions coming from children’s mouths, and of course a Demogordon that plays the role of Snoopy.

Eddie Vedder gave one of the best Seventh Inning Stretch performances ever during Game 5 of the World Series. Throwing out love for Theo, David Ross and Harry.

Watched this video of the latest single from the 1975 called ‘Somebody Else’, now the track and the formal video associated with it make some clear narrative about a break up in a relationship but this opening non-song scene has Eric (hear him Sundays 3-7pm) and I wondering what is going on. It appears to show singer Matt Healy breaking up with someone’s face we never seen underneath their hair,we never hear any dialogue just garbled noise, and the Healy leaves the scene to start the song. It has all of these oddly timed audience reaction noises, and it’s just weird. So I watched it 4 times in a row, and came to one conclusion.
Based on the main narrative of the song portion of the video and it’s surprise ending, Healy was ‘breaking up’ with some form of himself or past version of who he was in the opening black and white scene.

Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder may as well have his own apartment at Wrigley Field at this point. The very-expressive Cubs fan from Evanston who years ago documented his love for the Northsiders in the song “All the Way”, will get the 7th Inning Stretch duties tonight at the decisive Game 5 in the World Series with the Cubs trailing the Cleveland Indians 3-1. This is not the only time Vedder has sang the ritual made famous by the late great Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray let alone, the first time he has rocked Wrigley this year. Pearl Jam had 2 sold-out shows at the ‘Friendly Confines’ earlier this year.
