Limp Bizkit played the Rock Allegiance Festival in Camden, NJ Saturday night. Crazy right?

Time to meet Violet Grohl. If you haven’t before, she is the 12 year old daughter of Foo Fighters frontman DAVE Grohl….and the two took to the stage together this past Thursday in L.A. for an “Autism Speaks” charity gala.
The two of them have covered Adele together before (“When We Were Young”)…and I’m sure you’ve heard Dave do “Everlong” — but check out the father/daughter duo tackle Billie Eilish’s “idontwanttobeyouanymore.” Just click the right arrow three times to skip right to it. That’s a hell of a voice, right? — [eric]

Let’s have a group swoon along with Hope Sandoval.
Twenty-One Pilots officially dropped their new album ‘Trench’ yesterday, and along with a fresh inventive music video for their latest single you have heard on 101WKQX, ‘My Blood’. The story sees two brothers living a turbulent life after the passing of their mother, and it has a very ‘Fight Club’ inspired ending that will catch any viewer off-guard. The video has already stirred a lot of views and is currently the number 3 trending clip on Youtube.
Meg Myers meet and greet photos from The Lounge!
Well he did it again. British street artist Banksy pulled off another shocking caper with his provocative art. His notable piece ‘Girl with Balloon’ was auctioned at the world-acclaimed Sotheyby’s in London yesterday for a reported 1.4 million and right after the hammer dropped on the winning bid, an alarm sounded as the sought-after painting self-destructed into a paper shredder that was secretly built into the frame. The scene it created was a wild one and quickly became the internet story of the weekend.
Of course, Banksy engaging persona is just so intriguing because no one knows exactly who he is. His outlandish work has inspired a whole new generation of artists.

I did my first shot of Malort the first time I visited Chicago, received a job offer the next day and moved here within a couple weeks to launch Q87.7. In short, the bitter wormwood liquor is magic to me. So much, that I had my friend do her first shot for a Cubs win during the wild card game (which didn’t work but got us a base hit at least!) Video below.
Today is a great day! Jeppson’s Malort has been acquired by CH Distillery!
CH Distillery, my favorite option at our Windy City Brewhaha ‘s, is a craft distillery known for its organic vodka. They plan to make and bottle Malort at the Pilsen distillery beginning next year, effectively bringing Malort, a Swedish liquor with deep Chicago roots, back to its hometown.
Since the 1970s, Malort has been distilled in Florida, though its primary market has remained Chicago.
Welcome home baby!
When was your first shot of Malort? Tweet me.

She’s the most formidable force in WWE’s Womens Revolution, storming into Allstate Arena for Monday Night RAW on October 8th and the historic first-all women’s special event, Evolution on the WWE Network on October 28th, Nia Jax shares it all today with Kevin in this exclusive interview. This is a must-listen for any WWE fan as Jax shares what the feeling was like when she found out about Evolution, her feelings on a potential Women’s Tag Team Championship, and what it’s like to be ‘not like most girls’. Listen to the interview in the video above.
Police in Rochester, New Hampshire posted some surveillance photos of a trespassing suspect they were looking for, and he looked kind of like EMINEM. So of course, the Internet went crazy!
People started commenting with Eminem lyrics, saying things like, “He’s probably just going round the outside, round the outside” . . . and, “Will the real Slim Shady please fess up.” HAHA! AMAZING!
Police later updated the post, saying, quote, “The subject has been identified, and we can confirm it is NOT Marshall Mathers.” … AMAZING again!

From their press release: Mumford & Sons will embark on an extensive 60-date worldwide arena tour this fall featuring a groundbreaking new in-the-round stage design. In Chicago they’ll perform at the United Center on Friday, March 29, 2019. Show time is 7:30pm. Tickets (reserved seats $104.50 / $84.50 / $64.50 / $44.50 plus general admission main floor tickets $104.50) become available on Friday, October 12 at 10:00am and can be purchased online only at Ticketmaster.com. There will be a strictly-enforced 4-ticket limit.
The tour celebrates the multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-winning band’s forthcoming album, Delta. Available now for pre-sale, the band’s fourth release hits shelves November 16 on Gentlemen of the Road/Glassnote Records. Delta was written collectively by the band, produced by Paul Epworth and recorded at London’s The Church Studios. Listen to the album’s first single, “Guiding Light,” HERE.
Already receiving widespread acclaim, the band recently debuted “Guiding Light” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” with special guests The Roots. Watch the performance HERE. Marcus Mumford also joined host Jimmy Fallon as a guest on the couch. Watch the interview HERE. Additionally, Rolling Stone calls the single, “wildly experimental…Delta has the band incorporating elements of electronica, rap, jazz and other sonic territory rarely visited,” while Paste asserts, “If it’s any indication of how Delta will sound as a whole, this could shape up to be the band’s most experimental album yet.”
Marking ten years since Mumford & Sons made their meteoric debut, the new music follows 2015’s Wilder Mind, which debuted at No. 1 in the U.S., U.K., Australia Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands and Norway and, most recently, 2016’s collaborative Johannesburg mini album. Previous LPs include 2012’s Babel, which was awarded the 2013 Grammy for Album of the Year, and their 2009 debut, Sigh No More.
Mumford & Sons are Ben Lovett, Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane and Winston Marshall.
Sony’s first push into a connected super-hero universe, Venom, hits theaters Friday.
The popular Spider-Man villain gets his own full-length solo turn, with Tom Hardy in the titular role. But is it any good? If you listen to critics, you may want to stick with the comic book source material.
As of 10/4/18, Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomotometer has the flick sitting at a brutal 30% rating. Here’s what some of the site’s Top Critics had to say:
“Mostly derivative and generically plotted” (Owen Glieberman, Variety)
“The latest movie off the Marvel assembly line is a disaster on every level, from the hatchet-job writing to the horrid performances.” (Johnny Oleskinsi, New York Post)
“It’s noncommittally mediocre and, as a result, forgettable. It just sort of sits there, beating you numb” (Chris Nashawaty, EW)
“The action? It’s repetitive enough to bore you breathless. And the special effects are strictly bottom shelf.” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone)
“Leaping from plot point to plot point without the hindrance of logic or characters” (Alonso Duralde, The Wrap)
“Directed with flat, joyless competence” (Justin Chang, Los Angeles Times)
All good things… or at least all things… come to an end. This is officially the swan song month for that most venerable of post-Cubs, drunk-food institutions: The Taco Bell on Addison.
According to the Trib, demolition starts on November 1, as boxed Chalupas make way for a three-story retail space that will include a gym and climbing facility.
Get ready to slay. All fans of the cult hit TV show ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ will be able to sip on drinks as Replay (Lincoln Park, 2833 N. Sheffield Ave) is transformed into a pop-up theme space with the Sunnydale High’s library, a cemetery and The Bronze nightclub. If you are fan of the show, this looks like a must and Replay has a history with delivering fun pop-up themes with previous celebrations of pop culture gems like the Simpsons and others.
The pop-up starts on October 12th in the bar which already has an abundance of arcade games to enjoy. Several Buffy themed events are also planned with several drinks on the menu inspired by characters from the show.
If you never ‘got’ the show or why it developed such a dedicated audience it was able to move two different networks and live on in a comic book.
