Kids say the cutest things. Watch 3-year-old Charlotte recite the Pledge of Allegiance with a slight modification… are we sure this isn’t Brian’s kid?! <3 Lauren
Alexander Tominsky began his bizarre food challenge of eating an entire rotisserie chicken for 40 days straight because he said, ‘it seemed like the right thing to do.’ Tominsky, 31, is a waiter at a steakhouse and began his journey September 28th. He finished on Sunday at an abandoned pier, where hundreds gathered to watch him eat his final fowl. It all started with a hilarious flier, that encouraged people to watch him eat his 40th chicken, also adding that ‘this is not a party.’
According to a new study, these ten words are the most mispronounced by Americans. These are based on the average monthly Google searches ‘how to pronounce___.’ Some people have been saying these words wrong for years, so don’t feel stupid if you have too. Here are the top 10-
The people at Merriam-Webster would also like to add that these are only the most common. The population also says these words incorrectly a lot too- “victuals,” “awry,” and “epitome.”
This holiday season Miller Lite came up with the absolute best idea- a tree stand that is also a keg. The tree stand looks like a small table to support the tree, and inside of it is a quarter-barrel keg. That’s 83, 12 ounce brewskis. The stand itself can support a tree that weighs up to 150lbs. Starting November 10th, you can order the stand along with cool “beernaments” for the tree on their website for the affordable price of $49.99. Now that’s the type of innovation we need in 2022!

The truth is, there is no ‘one size fits all’ rule for people to follow about washing your hair. But Dr. Anthony Rossi, an assistant attending dermatologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City says that people need to give themselves a chance to have dirty hair and see how it goes. Maybe your scalp and hair won’t become instantly greasy after a day or two. Washing too often can dry or dull hair. The length between washes can depend on multiple things including hair type and style, how oily your scalp tends to get, age, and your activity levels. Dr. Rossi tells his clients to only wash once or twice a week, but definitely once if you have treated or bleached hair. Teenagers may need more washes due to access grease during those years, but on average MOST people don’t need to be using shampoo and conditioner everyday. No go take Dr. Rossi’s advice and see how long it takes your hair to actually get nasty.
Sunday was a beautiful day for some Bears Football at Soldier Field, even if we did end up losing (and even if it was my fault somehow for going to my first game.) I am a huge fan of Justin Fields and think he is going to develop into an amazing franchise QB. He broke the single-game NFL rushing record for a quarterback by going for 178 yards! Check out this awesome angle of his 61 yard rush for a touchdown. <3 Lauren
On Sunday morning, hundreds of people went up the Willis Tower (yeah yeah, Sears) stairwells, to raise money for a great cause. Sky Rise Chicago helps the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. They have a number of programs designed to enhance the quality of life for people who have lost ability due to serious injury or chronic conditions. Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is the global leader in physical medicine and rehabilitation for adults and children with the most severe, complex conditions — from traumatic brain and spinal cord injury to stroke, amputation and cancer-related impairment. The goal was $1 million dollars and they got pretty darn close with $970,000.
My goal was to finish the climb; there was no “race” for this girl. After 103 flights, I’m glad I went at a grandma’s pace. Slow and steady baby! Getting to the top was sweet, sweet victory, but the most beautiful thing was being able to climb next to folks who had gone through the programs at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab themselves. Seeing their results in action made it all worth it.
The city Christmas tree is up now in Millennium Park. It was selected from nearly 80 entries in the city’s annual hunt for a tree. The tree is 45 years old and is from a front yard in Morton Grove that a family used to decorate, until it just got too big. It’s the 109th annual tree and it will be on display through Jan 8th. Watch the lighting ceremony Nov. 18th at 6pm.
Cher went public with her relationship with a 36-year-old music executive named Alex Edwards, or “AE” and people are talking. They don’t care that she’s dating someone, they care that there is a 40 year age gap between the two. She posted a picture of them on her Instagram, and one fan commented, “It would be naïve not to question a 34-year-old’s motives and intentions. Our girl is smart but they don’t say love is blind for no reason at all.” Cher did not appreciate the sentiment and let everyone know how she really feels- “Haven’t You Got Anything Else 2 Do⁉️ Let Me Explain…I DONT GIVE A✈️FK WHAT ANYONE THINKS.” I guess when you’re 76 you really do care less about what people think.
This morning on Brian, Ali, and Justin, crew member Zach called in to talk about how he won $27k on a game show called Press Your Luck. The crazy thing about this story is that he was set to win over $400k, and tried to win the $1 million dollars. Instead, he hit a whammy- and ended up with $27k. He’s still a winner in our book. What did he do with the money? He helped his wifey buy a car, and got a nice kitchen backsplash; it really tied the room together nicely. Zach still tries to not think about all of the money that he could’ve had, he’s happy with what he’s got.
Here is the episode he was in-

We all love Walgreens and go there pretty frequently. The company, based in Illinois (woo woo!), has the slogan, ‘at the corner of happy and healthy.’ And did you notice something about every single Walgreens store? They’re ALL on a corner. Every one is located at the corner of happy and healthy. I was today years old when I learned that.
GOTCHA!!!! This is isn’t true, but it’s a fun harmless prank to play on people.
On Halloween, a man dressed as Pikachu, was driving recklessly around the town of Roachdale, Indiana on a lawn mower. The 19-year-old erratic lawnmower driver was pulling a trailer behind him too, getting the way trick-or-treaters, and causing general concern. Deputies tried to pull over the man, and received a middle finger when he did. Then it was ON. The Pikachu driver tried to ram his vehicle into the police car. They chased him all the way home. He was later apprehended at his house and taken into custody.
“At this time, we believe Pikachu acted alone and no other Pokemon characters were involved in this incident,” Roachdale Police Department said, “However, we are not opposed to catching them all…”
Mattress Mack made a seven figure bet on his hometown team, The Astros, and hedged the bet against his furniture company, Gallery Furniture. Jim McIngvale, known as “Mattress Mack,” cashed in tickets worth $75 million on Astros futures. The furniture chain offered customers that spent over $3000 at the store their money back if the Astro won the World Series. And they did. SO the $75 million won’t be a huge profit for him necessarily, the winnings will “mostly be paid out to customers through our promotion” McIngvale said. Either way, sportsbooks including BetMGM were giving him a ton of money.
“They’ll wire it to me,” McIngvale said, “That’s too much money to carry.”

This weekend’s Powerball jackpot is the third largest in lottery history, but I believe it was the famous philosopher Christopher Wallace that noted that with “Mo Money” — potentially come “Mo Problems.”
Becoming a billionaire overnight would be sweet — but it’s not without it’s problems. A ton of taxes, family squabbles, and a lot of chances to get scammed or lose it all.
Or worse. How about these horror stories?

Ford wants to be your gateway drug into that van life. They just released Thursday their plans for the 2023 Ford Transit Trail that’s ready to be traveled in, customized, and lived in! The vehicle will be available in three cargo van configurations, including medium and high-roof models and a high-roof, extended-length version. The van starts at $65,000, and Ford is certain that they’ll have more demand than supply. Here’s a sneak peek at the van…
Don’t miss out on your chance to become Matt Foley-
Watch a young girl named Abby come across an empty bowl of candy on her neighbor’s doorstep on Halloween. She saw the bowl void of any goodies then did the unthinkable as a young kid, she filled it up with some of her own candy so that other trick-or-treaters wouldn’t be disappointed. The owner of the home, Kristina Kallman had put candy out in a bowl and left to go to a party. She later came back and saw what the little, generous, girl had done on her door camera. She showed her mom to let her know what a good job she had done raising her. Abby’s mom wasn’t shocked at all, she said it was just something that made sense to her daughter.
Meet Miles. He’s only 6 years old and he’s already more talented than a lot of adult producers. He has a natural understanding of music is definitely a child prodigy. Watch him remix “Wonderwall” into his own dance song. The best part is halfway through when he’s still drinking from a sippy cup. He’s still a kid after all, he’s our Wonderwall.
