Apple’s latest unveilings are just around the corner, which means it’s time to start preparing to follow along live.
All of the updates are set to kick off at 12 p.m. CT when CEO Tim Cook will take the stage. For those not able to follow along live from Cupertino, Apple will be live streaming the event on its website so you don’t have to miss a second. (READ MORE HERE)
I’m always excited with anything new when it comes to Apple. Though I doubt they are going to announce a new battery or an update that would allow you to go from an instagram link on twitter directly to the instagram app instead of sending you to the web url, but maybe I’m wrong. Who knew so many people only voted just to get a sticker to show everyone else they voted. Are these the same people who post a gym selfie every time they step on a dreadmill to burn a calorie? IDK, but if you’re voting so you can brag or shame someone you’re doing it wrong. I do however like when people post photos that they voted to encourage others to do so. Indy is coming back. Disney just announced that Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford will return to one of their most famous franchises as Indiana Jones 5 opens on July 19, 2019. (READ MORE HERE) I’m just hoping Harrison Ford doesn’t decide to do the spelunking scenes himself in this one. It’s far more dangerous than it looks. Jame Franco lost an arm doing his in that movie 127 hours (the spelunking trip gone horribly wrong). We don’t really need another Indiana Jones movie but if Harrison Ford wants to break stuff with a giant whip AGAIN who are we to stand in the way of his dreams?? So I was skeptical when I first heard about this reboot. Then I got excited about the first trailer for the lady-centric “Ghostbusters” movie starring Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig – but it seems a lot of people weren’t into it. (READ MORE HERE) I get it. I’m not really that into reboots either, but they aren’t really for those of us who loved the first version of the thing that’s being rebooted. They’re hoping the new audience won’t watch the original and compare them perhaps? IDK though, if you have any friends at all they won’t let you go through life not knowing where a reboot originated. I really wish these reboots were limited to just the trailer, or a Fallon sketch then we could take a vote, and if enough of us agree that we’d go see it then and only then could they make the full movie. The scary part is they do stuff like that on a smaller scale and these movies tend to never stop being made. Maybe this one will be funny?? – @marconibologna
Tomorrow is the Illinois primary and you haven’t registered to vote yet… actually that isn’t a problem! Through Election Day, you can register and vote at the same time! In Chicago, every polling place can register voters on primary day, but you must go to the designated polling place for your address, which can be found HERE
Make sure you have two forms of ID with you, driver’s license and a Social Security card will do, but you can also use a student ID, a credit card, a lease or a LINK card, among other accepted items. If you’re unable to present suitable ID on Election Day, you can still cast a provisional ballot and provide the proper papers within seven days.
If you are like me and haven’t updated your ID since your last move 😀 you can update your address when you vote! Go to the designated polling place for your current address and make sure you bring something (like a piece of mail) with your name and correct address, along with your two pieces of identification..
