Netflix changed the ending of The Notebook, why?!

WARNING- CONTAINS SPOILERS.
(Well if you haven’t seen The Notebook)

So Netflix UK decided to change the ending of The Notebook and cut out the highly emotional ending.

If you don’t know about The Notebook and what it’s about, check out it’s IMDB page. The movie has been out since 2004, watch it already.

Now for spoilers, the ending was supposed to be where Noah and Allie die in each other’s arms after she finally remembers her devoted husband. But instead of this ending, they changed it to where he promises to return and complete his story the following day, along with a less satisfying shot of birds flying over a lake.

People weren’t too happy about it, a lot took to Twitter to ask why the change.

But seriously Netflix UK, why change the ending everyone is fully prepared to cry for?

Funeral ‘resurrection’ has twitter pointing out its flaws.

Have you ever seen someone resurrected at a funeral? Well now here’s your chance.

I guess this Pastor, Alph Lukau, was able to bring this man back to life. Or he at least he wants us to think he brought this man back to life, but Twitter users did their thing and questioned the ‘resurrections’ authenticity.

Of course with the sceptics, it brought alone some jokes and a possible new challenge for 2019.

Are you going to participate in the resurrection challenge?

Eat and sleep at the original ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ gas station.

Thinking about your next vacation? Consider driving out to the gas station where ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ was filmed!

The Gas Station from the original 1974 film, is now a restaurant that serves up barbecue and sells all sorts of merchandise for horror movie buffs.

“We actually have a gas pump that every once in a while we take out…the Coca-Cola machine that’s exactly the one from the movie, we take out,” Manager Ben Hughes told KVUE.

The building has been refurbished and had opened to the public in 2016.

“If you’re a fan of the movie to begin with, then coming out and actually getting to be in a place where it was, it really heightens it for you,” Hughes said.

They even have a replica of the van from the movie parked outside, same make, model, year, and color!

Plus you can also have the chance to stay the night there! Behind the building, they built 4 mini-cabins so visitors can get the full effect. Along with campsites that you can reserve on their site as well.

And no, they won’t come out to scare you.

“We want to make sure that everybody that comes out has a good time and not just freakin’ out or anything like that,” Hughes said.

So far this has become a big hit! It may be spooking but they’re very welcoming to all visitors.

Brian for mayor, the one true candidate for Chicago.

We know there are many candidates to choose from when voting for mayor, but the only one that matters is Brian.

‘Gremlins’ set to return as a new series on a streaming service

Today Variety reported that Warner Media will revive 80’s horror comedy creatures ‘Gremlins’ as animated series on the company’s upcoming streaming service. Let’s just hope Gizmo is back being an adorable Rambo blowing up Gremlins.

You can’t feed them after midnight, but soon you can stream them anytime you want.

‘Gremlins’ was released in 1984 by Steven Speilberg’s Amblin and Warner Bros. Studios to big success at the box office. Both Warner and Amblin will produce the new animated show with Tze Chun is attached to write and executive produce. Chun has worked on TV series ‘Once Upon a Time’ and ‘Gotham’.

Director Joe Dante returned for the sequel ‘Gremlins 2: The New Batch’ in 1990, with less fanfare and a mixed reaction from fans and critics. The sequel has since grown to have a big cult following inspiring satirical spoofs like this one from Key & Peel.

Check out a recording from one of Green Day’s first shows.

A performance of Green Day has surfaced, (and thanks to RockSound for helping me find it).  It’s a 1989 performance from a small club in the Bay Area of California, during an opening stint for Killdozer.  First off all, THAT HAIR.  Second of all, is it just me or was Tre Cool really….raw on this?  Third of all, stop reading and just hit play.  It’s a pretty damn good recording for being pulled from cassette.  Enjoy some live Green Day from one of their first shows!  — [eric]

A man mic’d up his 4-year-old at hockey practice

Jeremy Repuke decided to mic up his 4-year-old son Mason for hockey practice after he started to wonder what his son saying out there on the ice.

As it turns out, there’s a lot.

People love Mason for his ‘pure’ reactions and thoughts that came out while he was at practice.

It’s no wonder this video has gone viral, keep practicing little buddy!

A Fyre Festival spoof with Jerry from Parks and Rec.

So if you’ve seen the Netflix documentary of Fyre Festival, you’ve seen the scene where Andy dick talks about being prepared to ‘suck someone’s dick’.

Well, Jim O’Heir aka Jerry/Larry/Terry/Gary Gergich, did a spoof rendition of it for The Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Aubrey Plaza hosted The Film Independent Spirit Awards on February 23rd, and while the NBC series ended in 2015, it appears actor Jim O’Heir has no problem settling back into his “Jerry” personality to help out an old costar.

Jerry/Larry/Terry/Gary Gergich is truly the man you can rely on to get things done.

Lucky Charms-flavored beer? It’s a thing.

There apparently exists a beer that tastes like Lucky Charms.  And the world will never be the same.

Virginia-based Smartmouth Brewing made an IPA with toasted marshmallows and fruity Calypso hops….and it’s “Saturday Morning” name is meant to invoke memories of “PJs on, cartoons playing, and your favorite cereal in hand,” according to a profile from Delish.  Only, you know…now with an ABV of 6.6 in your adult years.

If you are hoping to try it, better invoke the luck of the Irish — it’s a limited edition run for St. Patrick’s Day.

While our Alternative IPA “Q Street” doesn’t flavor profile to any breakfast cereals, the Saaz and Cascade hops blend into a spicy, citrus brew.  “Q Street” is the February 2019 Beer Of The Month at the flagship, Church Street Brewing.  Head to the brewery for specials on tap and 4-packs to go for $8.  — [eric]

Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters drummers are working on…something.

So there’s definitely not a lot of quantity here, but considering the pedigree of Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters, the quality of this project is enough to get me excited.  Joined by Buzz Osborne of the Melvins, these very (very) short clips tease the formation of a new project.  Where it goes from here, who knows?  We’ll keep an eye on it.  — [eric]

Behold the bad-assness that is the Bear Suit

Troy Hurtubeise is a pretty adventurous guy who came into some fame in the 90s when he made ‘the bear suit’. It was his inventions he made to see if he would be able to wear survive a bear attack, a shotgun blast or hit by a car. It’s all pretty ridiculous and stupidly bad-ass. In this resurfaced clip, Troy showed off his death-defying suit where he actually takes a shotgun blast and falls down into a ravine. Hurtubiese passed away recently but his legacy lives on in this unearthed footage.

You may have seen me go on a deep dive recently on the funny tubery that is Gus Johnson. His video riffing on the whole concept and he made lighthearted attempt in his parents garage to make his own ‘bear suit’.
