Keep killin’ it, Brendon Urie!
So for anyone who doesn’t want to put their time and effort into working out at the gym, they can now get instant abs.
Masterpiece Hospital in Bankok now offers ‘instant six packs’. How they do it is different, instead of implanting silicone into patients’ abdomens, the abs are “etched” out by removing fat around the abdomen area. Creating a more natural and long-lasting appearance than fillers.
In an interview with Coconuts, Masterpiece Hospital CEO and surgeon Raweewat “Sae” Maschamadol shared that they receive between 20 and 30 customers each year asking for six-pack surgery. Along with how 90% of their patients who undergo the surgery are fitness buffs who are just having trouble reaching their goal.
They claim the surgery is painless, but the recovery process is not pretty.
DON’T LOOK IF YOU’RE SQUEAMISH!
If you were downtown Tuesday afternoon you may have noticed how State Street was closed due to a suspicious object.
Well, that ‘suspicious object’ was just a can of Chef Boyardee attached to skate wheels.

Turns out a DePaul University student made the car prototype for a design class and had put it on a State Street to take a photo.
Feels like this escalated quickly, plus why didn’t the student just pick the car back up after the photo?
After Eric Tendian posted updates on what was happened, Twitter users had a little fun when they found out it was just a can of Chef Boyardee.

State Street was only closed down for 30 mins, but we’re pretty sure this all could have been easily avoided.
CHVRCHES have taken to social media again to say they have had to add more security during their current tour due to online threats of death and rape by fans of the singer Chris Brown. CHVRCHES singer Lauren Mayberry posted several screen shots with NSFW language that directed the threats directly at her and the band for their comments about Brown. This all comes after last week when CHVRCHES called out EDM artist Marshmello after he announced a collaboration with rapper Tyga and Brown.
Brown has had a long public history of criminal activity including assaulting his then girlfriend and fellow singer Rihanna in 2009. Brown completed his probation related to the assault in 2015. Tyga has come under fire for references to sexual relations with underage girls in his lyrics. The band stated they still appreciate and respect Marshmello but also expressed that working with these questionable artist “enables, excuses, and ultimately tacitly endorses that behavior”.
Brown himself blasted off some insulting comments in response with Mayberry brushing it off saying “Angry men on the internet can call me all the names they want. I still think domestic abuse is wrong.” Consequence of Sound has an in-depth report on the threats here.
In more recent tweets, Mayberry has clarified how the sitiation has escalated.
I am not staying in my own home when we finish tour because the threats we have received have reached such a scale. We have to have the police at our shows now. If that’s what I deserve for saying mainstream music should be more morally conscious, then so be it. You’re right.
— Lauren Mayberry (@laurenevemay) April 29, 2019
And again, it is not you who is having to have police presence at shows and advance security in their actual own real life outside of a band persona.
— Lauren Mayberry (@laurenevemay) April 29, 2019
Mayberry continued to stand her ground recently on stage this past weekend in a video captured by TMZ. CHVRCHES perform at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on May 2nd.

The theater team at North Bergan High School made internet headlines a few months with a charming staged production of the sci-fi horror classic ‘ALIEN’. It’s not your average stage adaption from a drama club, usually you get your standard musicals but this show gained rave reviews for it’s charming crafted special effects and dedication to the oringal 1980 classic film, so much that an encore performance was put on recently with star of the film Sigourney Weaver introducing the play.
Here you can see the entire play shot on a single 4k camera. Just based on the video quality, it does not lend itself to full watch but skimming through you really have to appreciate what this drama club put together and performed. Youtube user ButtonSmasher says the school will release a professionally recording of the production in the future.
Film legend Ridley Scott who directed the film, donated along with the town of North Bergen donated money for the encore production.
Alien is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary with several short films and more special events.
Here is how the breakout play was put together from creation of the props and costumes from recycled materials and more. It’s truly a remarkable form of creative energies coming together.
Rogers Park institution Heartland Cafe faced the wrecking ball today. Heartland was known for its healthy menu and connection to the local community, as well as its people-watching-friendly outdoor seating.
As Block Club Chicago reports, the building and site for Heartland were sold in January for $1.3 million. Fans of the restaurant grabbed some of the rubble to keep as a souvenir, with one telling Block Club he wanted to “honor what the Heartland represented.”
An apartment project is planned for the space at Morse and Glenwood.

Can you solve it correctly? Take a moment to think of your answer, then scroll down. We\’ll wait.
Are you done?

MIT’s famous Great Dome got a patriotic makeover Sunday, thanks to some anonymous pranksters.
A group of “hackers” transformed the Great Dome as a tribute to Steve Rogers/Captain American, covering the top of the dome with a canvas of his shield.
They even got a stamp of approval from Chris Evans on twitter!
Very cool! https://t.co/jMQEPtnQdu

This stunt isn’t the first prank that “hackers” have done on the Great Dome. Previously the structure had things like a Batman symbol, Harry Potter’s scar, and the Legends of Zelda Triforce placed on it.
Yesterday the internet was in a buzz when they saw this teaser photo of Jim Carrey in the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

You’ll be voting with your dollars, one dollar equals one vote. Each candidate will receive awards and prizes, but the winner of the Edgewater Mayor Campaign will be announced at Edgefest on Sunday, August 4th.
Unfortunately, nominations have closed. But you can learn more here about Edgefest and any changes happening in the mayoral pet election.
Have you ever wished you had a little bag on your shoes to put things into? Well, now you’re in luck.
Crocs have teamed up with BEAMS to bring you new footwear, which provides a little pouch at the back of the shoe strap where you can conveniently store small items like cash, cards, or keys.
Makes sense, I guess. They’d be perfect for summer when you don’t have as many pockets.
What we should really be talking about is the crocs with visors on them, what does that help with?
Anyway, if you’d like your own pair of these crocs you can purchase them on BEAMS website.
As was reported widely today, Woodstock 50 was cancelled. And speculation has been building as to why and these YouTube videos from some of the biggest music channels dig into why the massive fest got axed.
