Help elect Edgewater’s first-ever ‘Pet Mayor’

The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Care for Real to launch it’s FIRST-EVER Edgewater Pet Mayor Campaign.

Edgewater prides itself by trying to be Chicago’s most pet-friendly neighbourhood. So to honour its pet-friendly community, they are holding an election to help raise funds for organizations and activities that help the needs of two-legged and four-legged members in the community.

Once they narrow it down to the final six mayor candidates, the public can begin voting. They’ll have from June 1st to August 2nd to vote online or at the following pilling stations:

  • Care For Real
  • Edgewater Chamber of Commerce
  • Bark Bark Club
  • Edgewater Famers Market (June – July)

You’ll be voting with your dollars, one dollar equals one vote. Each candidate will receive awards and prizes, but the winner of the Edgewater Mayor Campaign will be announced at Edgefest on Sunday, August 4th.

Unfortunately, nominations have closed. But you can learn more here about Edgefest and any changes happening in the mayoral pet election.
