A ticket from Michael Jordan’s debut here in Chicago sold for big bucks at auction this weekend:
I’m sure you have a nice collection of ticket stubs, toys, collectables — maybe even a guitar pick or drum stick from your favorite band. What is your most prized possession?
There’s an American Buffalo that’s been hanging out in Chicago’s northern burbs. Someone in Hawthorne Woods saw the giant roaming around there recently and caught footage of it. This actually isn’t the first time residents have seen buffalo either. Some people wonder if it’s “Tyson the Byson” that got loose last September in Wauconda. The Lake County Sheriff says call police if you see her.
Is this person running away from you OR towards you?
TOWARDS YOU: MALE BRAIN
You learn very quickly when you become interested in something. You will put all of your energy into it until you can figure it out. You’re not a good multitasker and would rather focus on one thing at a time.
AWAY FROM YOU: FEMALE BRAIN
Your reasoning and analytical skills are at their max. You don’t rush on making a decision and your reasoning and senses help you decide. Your brain works best when you immerse yourself in something creative or start something from scratch. You’re good at multitasking and have a good memory.
If you didn’t already know, native Detroiter, Jack White LOVES baseball. Can’t get enough of it. He tries to catch as many games as he can and doesn’t even go in suites. He wants to be in the seats like everybody else! He must have been extremely stoked to perform the National Anthem on Opening Day in Detroit. Here he is putting his own spin on it. He let his guitar do the talking. We love you Jack!
Damn you Javy Baez and your incredible skills!! It did in fact, hit the wall. Watch the Tigers lose their minds when they realized that they won the game.
Papa Roach has a new album coming out called ‘Ego Trip.’ Here they are performing at a Shakey’s Pizza in Hollywood for kicks. Jacoby performed a song with his son, but the highlight was when he incited the Wall of Death where fans split into two sides then go at it. If you know you know. Watch and learn!
Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers has some rooting interest in the latest season of American Idol.
That’s because his daughter is one of the contestants.
Professionally she goes by the name of Ava Maybee — and the show didn’t make mention of her famous father when she first auditioned, so it looks as though she’s not trying to play the “famous kid” card. But as you’ll see in this clip below, music runs strong in this family.
Good luck to Ava this season!

To say March 8th, 2022 was an eventful day for Jack White — would be selling it short. He started out the day playing the national anthem on MLB’s Opening Day Weekend. He finished it by getting hitched.
You may have seen the Detroit native if you were watching the Chicago White Sox game as they took on the Tigers — he and his trusty guitar ripped through a nice little rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner”:
Later on that evening, Jack proposed and had a quickie on-stage wedding to his girlfriend Olivia Jean:
Congratulations to the bride & groom!
Golfer Cliff Horton found himself in a pickle when he was golfing at a country club in Georgia earlier this week. He found a little shelter on a porch from a storm that formed overhead while he was playing his regular 18 holes. Suddenly a tornado came and he got it all on video. Thankfully, Cliff made it out unscathed.
Chicago speed cameras issued 2.81 million citations in 2021. That’s more tickets than there are people in the city. Speed camera in the city collected, ahem, I mean “caught” $89 million of speeders. Almost two-thirds of that money was from people going 6-10 miles over the limit. Criminals!! But seriously, most were for 36 mph in a 30, which leads to a $35 ticket. Ridiculous.
11 | Seconds between tickets |
---|---|
1,178 | Tickets per day, before March 1 |
9,014 | Tickets per day, after March 1 |
2,817,554 | Tickets in 2021 |
$35 | Fine for speeding 6-10 mph |
$100 | Fine for speeding 11 mph and up |
1.03 | Tickets per Chicagoan |
$245,331 | Fines issued per day |
$89 million | Total fines in 2021 |
$59 million | Fines from $35 tickets |
Self-deprecating humor is always funny. Machine Gun Kelly was recently on Jimmy Kimmel and hit Hollywood Boulevard dressed as “press” asking people walking by what they thought about certain celebrities, more specifically, MGK. His disguise was so great no one knew who it was, except for some odd reason Spiderman did. What people talk about how much they like or dislike Machine Gun Kelly to his face!
