This time the book “It’s OK To Be A Unicorn” was under fire for ‘promoting a gay lifestyle.’ The children’s book is about a unicorn being the only different one amongst his horse friends. The real message in the book is about self-acceptance. The people that banned the book… didn’t even read it. They assumed the worst, all because of the rainbow on the front. Writer Jason Tharpe is shocked over the controversy. He got the idea for the book after he almost died of brain cancer. He wanted to make sure that he helped kids by spreading a positive message.
