So I was skeptical when I first heard about this reboot. Then I got excited about the first trailer for the lady-centric “Ghostbusters” movie starring Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig – but it seems a lot of people weren’t into it. (READ MORE HERE) I get it. I’m not really that into reboots either, but they aren’t really for those of us who loved the first version of the thing that’s being rebooted. They’re hoping the new audience won’t watch the original and compare them perhaps? IDK though, if you have any friends at all they won’t let you go through life not knowing where a reboot originated. I really wish these reboots were limited to just the trailer, or a Fallon sketch then we could take a vote, and if enough of us agree that we’d go see it then and only then could they make the full movie. The scary part is they do stuff like that on a smaller scale and these movies tend to never stop being made. Maybe this one will be funny?? – @marconibologna
Tomorrow is the Illinois primary and you haven’t registered to vote yet… actually that isn’t a problem! Through Election Day, you can register and vote at the same time! In Chicago, every polling place can register voters on primary day, but you must go to the designated polling place for your address, which can be found HERE
Make sure you have two forms of ID with you, driver’s license and a Social Security card will do, but you can also use a student ID, a credit card, a lease or a LINK card, among other accepted items. If you’re unable to present suitable ID on Election Day, you can still cast a provisional ballot and provide the proper papers within seven days.
If you are like me and haven’t updated your ID since your last move 😀 you can update your address when you vote! Go to the designated polling place for your current address and make sure you bring something (like a piece of mail) with your name and correct address, along with your two pieces of identification..

Happy voting!! xo

Toby Maguire, Andrew Garfield and now Tom Holland is pulling up his tights as Spider-Man. Third time’s the charm, right? We get our first look at the new, new, new Spidey in the latest trailer for Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War.” It’s out May, 6th. Don’t worry. They have stand-alone Spider-Man movies planned too, so we will again see how he is bitten by a spider, pines over a girl and becomes a superhero.

Despite the demise of the “[bleep] Trump”-graffitied billboard Tuesday, Chicagoans continue to come up with creative ways to welcome Donald Trump to the city for his Friday rally at UIC Pavilion. The Wiener’s Circle (2622 N. Clark St.) is getting in on the dogging, if you will, with a very special weekend offer: the Trump Art of the Meal deal including the “Trump footlong,” a 3-inch hotdog, according to Wiener’s Circle creative director Brendan Kelly.(READ MORE HERE) Another reason we love this city so much!! – @marconibologna

The Chicago Transit Authority board voted Wednesday to approve a $1.3 billion contract for 846 rail cars — representing about half of the CTA’s total fleet. (READ MORE HERE) These cars don’t look much different from the current rail cars from the 80’s. I’m also upset that my idea to add a Pizza Party car was completely ignored. Looks like “Da Coach” is off ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown. They needed to make room for the brilliance that Matt Hasselbeck is going to bring. Because no one can tell us what it’s like to not win a Super Bowl like Matt Hasselbeck. Keyshawn Johnson is also off the show. He’ll be replaced by Charles Woodson. NBC Sports has the whole story HERE

“Look at him! Look at him! He’s going at it! That’s right! How many licks to the center of a soft-serve ice cream?” Blackhawks commentator Eddie Olczyk yelled during the Hawks game against the Red Wings Sunday, playing off the one-time Tootsie Pop ad slogan. Since then James’ video has popped up various places online. (READ MORE HERE) FWD 15 years later this kid is the ICE CREAM KING OF CHICAGO!!! – @marconibologna

Kevin Bacon is once again part of a complete breakfast. In a new commercial for the American Egg Board’s punny campaign, families are found wishing they had a few more degrees of separation from the actor when Bacon pops up in their homes unannounced to serenade them about eggs with his brother Michael Bacon. Last October, a two-person tech company based in Canada gave an interview to The Washington Post to talk up their new app, Peeple. The idea — “Yelp, but for people” — was, to put it lightly, not popular. It immediately kicked off a wild outburst, prompting furious reactions on every social platform imaginable and a glut of thinkpieces pointing to the app as a sign of the end times. (READ MORE HERE) I suggest downloading this app and reviewing Todd that guy you never liked in high school but tolerated because his dad owned the pizza place near the school and sometimes he would give out free pizza to Todd’s friends. Believe me, with a personality like Todd’s he needed a dad with a pizza place to make friends!! Wait…what was I talking about again? Oh yeah all of this is going on Todd’s review!! – @marconibologna
