So I was skeptical when I first heard about this reboot. Then I got excited about the first trailer for the lady-centric “Ghostbusters” movie starring Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig – but it seems a lot of people weren’t into it. (READ MORE HERE) I get it. I’m not really that into reboots either, but they aren’t really for those of us who loved the first version of the thing that’s being rebooted. They’re hoping the new audience won’t watch the original and compare them perhaps? IDK though, if you have any friends at all they won’t let you go through life not knowing where a reboot originated. I really wish these reboots were limited to just the trailer, or a Fallon sketch then we could take a vote, and if enough of us agree that we’d go see it then and only then could they make the full movie. The scary part is they do stuff like that on a smaller scale and these movies tend to never stop being made. Maybe this one will be funny?? – @marconibologna

The Wiener’s Circle (2622 N. The Chicago Transit Authority board voted Wednesday to approve a $1.3 billion contract for 846 rail cars — representing about half of the CTA’s total fleet. (READ MORE HERE) These cars don’t look much different from the current rail cars from the 80’s. I’m also upset that my idea to add a Pizza Party car was completely ignored. Kevin Bacon is once again part of a complete breakfast. In a new commercial for the American Egg Board’s punny campaign, families are found wishing they had a few more degrees of separation from the actor when Bacon pops up in their homes unannounced to serenade them about eggs with his brother Michael Bacon. Last October, a two-person tech company based in Canada gave an interview to The Washington Post to talk up their new app, Peeple. The idea — “Yelp, but for people” — was, to put it lightly, not popular. It immediately kicked off a wild outburst, prompting furious reactions on every social platform imaginable and a glut of thinkpieces pointing to the app as a sign of the end times.
