Jack White, A Real Baseball Player!

We all know that Jack White is a huge baseball fan. Let’s be honest, he started his very own baseball bat company and has been seen around the Cubs that past couple years. As we found out though this past week, not only is Jack White a huge fan of watching baseball, but he is also a big fan of actually picking up a bat and a ball and playing for real.

Jack was spotted out at a celebrity baseball game this past week not there to watch, but actually play! As you can see from the pictures below, he took at least one at bat and played first base for a inning.

We just wonder is Jack White as good at baseball as he is at making amazing music?

See ya later, Jack White😊@thirdmanrecordsofficial @texasplayboysbaseball #billyreidshindig 📸 @bonchicabonbon

When You Think You’ve Seen It All!

Just when you think you have seen it all, someone comes along to prove that you have not seen everything. This is one of those videos that you truly thought no one in their right mind would try but then again, I have been wrong before. I am not denying that hot sauce is hot, but is it really that hot when you bath in it?

This dude not only put 1,250 bottles of hot sauce in a bath tub and jumped in, but he also put in some peppers to just give it a little extra kick! Watch the video below and let us know if you he is faking it or you think it is really that hot!

(VIDEO) Twenty-One Pilot’s Tyler Joseph roughed up crowd-surfing

twenty-one-pilots-lolla-aftershow-654x

Twenty One Pilot’s Tyler Joseph apparently got roughed up last night after crowd surfing from the stage to separate platform during a set last nigh in the UK at the Reading and Leads Festival. The situation may have forced the band to abruptly end their set but it’s not clear if that indeed happened. Once he got the platform away from the crowd Alt- Press quotes him saying  “Thanks everyone. We gotta be done. Josh that’s it. We gotta be done.”

We will update this page with more info as it comes out.

Watch: SNL Cast Members Losing It

SNL

Not cracking up while shooting a skit for SNL has to be incredibly hard. That’s probably why it’s always awesome catching people who break character because they just can’t take it.

Nine TV Shows are shooting in Chicago: Find out where they are here

logansquarist.com

Ever stroll through a neighborhood or the downtown area and see TV productions trucks all parked together ? Ever want to wander over and act like your a part of the crew so you can stooge some food off the catering table? Oh, don’t judge me! Like you never wanted to do the same thing!

Chicago has become quite the destination for TV shows to shoot and use as a location to tell stories with a striking yet varied urban landscape. And currently that fact is even more real, as nine different shows are in production in and around Chicago. DNAinfo in their studious journalistic greatness have compiled an active map of what show’s are filming and where they are shooting so you can stalk that hot guy on ‘Chicago Fire’ who looks more like an underwear model than a real Chicago Fireman. Sorry, not all heroes have abs and a cutting jawline that makes you want to text your girlfriends about.

The following TV shows are all shooting around Chicago:

APB

The Exorcist

Chicago Fire

Chicago PD

Chicago MED

Chicago Justice

EMPIRE

Shameless

Ozark

Here is a look at APB from FOX which is a tech-driven cop drama.

‘Rick & Morty’ creator casts spell over ‘Dr. Strange’

PicMonkey Image

‘Rick & Morty’ the demented animated tales of multi-dimensional grandfather and his awkward teenage grandson on Adult Swim has quickly become one of the funniest shows in TV, so it’s refreshing to see the show’s lead writer and creator Dan Harmon revealed as a writer for re-shoots for Marvel’s upcoming magical ‘Dr. Strange’. The anticipated superhero movie will see the longtime comic character in his first live action adaption played by ‘Sherlock’ actor Benedict Cumberbatch  and is due to hit theaters on November 4th, but the movie is getting comedic punch up from Harmon who also created the modern classic ‘Community’ on NBC. This strategy of bringing in comedic heavyweight to lay in some laughter to the action and adventure of Marvel movies is nothing new according to Aint It Cool News, as ‘Anchorman’ director and former ‘SNL’ writer Adam McKay added the funny to the unique ‘Ant-Man’ in 2015.

Meanwhile ‘Rick & Morty’ Season 3 is due to come out possibly in Spring 2017. You can watch Season 1 and 2 now on Hulu+. Here is a rough tease for a scene that will appear on an episode in Season 3, it was first shown to the public at the San Diego Comic Con.

Watch Prophets of Rage perform with Dave Grohl

grohlprophets2

Prophets of Rage, the mega-band mashup of Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello, Tom Commerford, and Brad Wilk with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real made internet waves last night with a full show livestream from Toronto to build hype for their upcoming tour. The show featured a surprise cameo from Foo Fighter’s Dave Grohl who joined the band for a cover of MC5’s ‘Kick Out the Jams’. You can see that specific collaboration with Grohl about 2 hours and 3 minutes into the monster set that featured timely political tunes from the RATM, Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy catalog.

Prophets are also releasing an EP that features new material and live tracks dubbed ‘The Party’s Over’ which comes out tomorrow.

1. “Prophets of Rage”
2. “The Party’s Over”
3.  “Killing in the Name” (live)
4.  “Shut Em Down” (live)
5.  “No Sleep Til Cleveland” (live)

Kings of Leon prep new album for October

dw9PDd0a

Kings of Leon will release a new album ‘Walls’ on October 14th, after working in Los Angeles with producer Markus Dravs  who had previously worked with Arcade Fire, and Florence and the Machine, and Coldplay. Kings have been teasing the album with snippets on social media for the past couple of days (see them at the bottom of this page) after there was very little knowledge of what the band was doing anything at all  after they concluded the touring for 2013’s ‘Mechanical Bull’. In an interview with Billboard, Caleb Followill of KOL teased the new album, how the band didn’t want to be compared rapper Drake, and how the band does not care about how ‘big’ is perceived to be.  “There comes a point when you realize you’ve lost that passion and that hunger,” says Caleb. “You’re chastened and want to get it back — and in order to get it back it’s like, ‘Forget about record sales, forget about the size of the venue you’re playing, forget about any of that stuff.’ says Followill. Read the whole interview here.

Walls Track List

1. “Waste A Moment”
2. “Reverend”
3. “Around The World”
4. “Find Me”
5. “Over”
6. “Muchacho”
7. “Conversation Piece”
8. “Eyes On You”
9. “Wild”
10. “WALLS”

Here is a stirring performance of KOL deeper cut ‘Closer’ from ‘Late Night’ in 2013.

A Boozy Bob Odenkirk Will Narrate Disco Demolition For ‘Drunk History’

discodemodrunkhistroy

(from chicagoist.com)

The infamous Disco Demolition has a Rashomon-like tendency to divide interpretation. So perhaps it was inevitable that the much-debated “night disco died” would find itself cast under the three-sheets-to-the-wind historical lens of Comedy Central’s Drunk History. In the show, a narrator is plied with booze then asked to recount his or her historical event. According to the Tribune, Naperville native Bob Odenkirk will do the inebriated honors. In July 1979, disco-hating Loop DJ Steve Dahl and White Sox promotions manager Mike Veeck organized a stunt that has since become the stuff of legend. Ninety-eight cents plus a disco record got stadium-goers admission to a Sox-vs.-Tigers double-header. The collected vinyl was then blown up in the outfield following the first game, prompting a massive rush onto the field and all manner of pandemonium. The second game was forfeited, and disco was declared DOA. (MORE HERE)

I am lucky enough to get to work down the hallway from Chicago radio icon, or as I call him, ‘Mr. Dahl’. His brilliance and stature as one of the radio greats in the business goes beyond what he has become nationally known for but that said, this is pretty freakin’ cool!! If you’re a fan of ‘Drunk History’ you know having Bob Odenkirk as the narrator is huge. Way to go Stever!!!… I mean Mr. Dahl!! – Marconi

Eddie Vedder Tosses Guy from Wrigley

PJ Fight

Eddie Vedder brought the show at Wrigley Monday night to a screeching halt near the end of “Lukin” because he saw a guy getting too aggressive with a woman in the audience. The band then picked up right were they left off. Ironically the next song, “Mind Your Manners.”

High-five to Smozilla for the video.
