Trailer for the upcoming Oasis documentary ‘Supersonic’ (VIDEO)
Oasis is one of the more regarded alternative bands of the their time, who took the world by storm and gained notoriety for their moving music as well their tumultuous in-band fighting. The whole saga of the Gallagher brothers, their soaring rise, and their disastrous fall are all covered in this documentary called ‘Supersonic’ due out in the UK and Ireland in October. Their is no news at this time for a formal release in US theaters but it’s expected to get a digital release in the future. The film is produced by Asif Kapadia who has previously worked ‘Amy’ which covered the life of late singer Amy Winehouse and heavily relies on archival footage with fresh voice over.
The trailer has already sparked rumors of an Oasis reunion but considering how much Noel and Liam Gallagher have been public about their relationship being far from nice, it does not seem likely. Noel called his brother a “very angry man” in a recent interview and specified it would take millions to get them back together for just one gig.
Still that could all change with the upcoming premiere of ‘Supersonic’. Director Mat Whitecross speaking with Rolling Stone, said the band may get back together for the film’s premiere and fellow English rock maverick Chris Martin of Coldplay playing the role of mediator.
Yet the brother’s quarrel seems to stayed active on social media with Liam posted the not-so-subtle tweet after seeing this trailer before it was posted.

Capital Cities prep new EP with a breakup song
Capital Cities who danced into our collective hearts in 2013 with “Safe and Sound” off the album ‘In a Tidal Wave of Mystery’, are prepping a new EP due out in October 21st. The Los Angeles based band made up of the duo of Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian spoke this week with RollingStone about their breakout success, how they don’t like performing in expensive studios, and how their new song ‘Vowels’ was written right after a break-up. Daniel Craig reportedly offered $150 million for a James Bond return
Daniel Craig has been public since the release of 2015’s Spectre that he is not drawn to portraying the beloved secret agent in any further films and since reports have been coming out about other actors in negotiations to take the 007 mantle in future films but a massive chunk of cash could change that. Multiple reports hit the web over the weekend, that Sony has offered the English actor $150 million to star in two more Bond adventures to help the series transition into the future. This most recent development has not been officially confirmed, but Radar Online pulled some serious scoops on the story that give it some credibility.
“The studio is desperate to secure the actor’s services while they phase in a younger long-term successor. [Craig] has played a genius hand. Everyone knows how much executives adore him, and the idea of losing him at such a crucial time in the franchise isn’t an option as far as all the studio honchos are concerned. Daniel’s the key for a seamless, safe transition as far as Sony and Bond bosses are concerned, and they’re prepared to pay a king’s ransom to make it happen. Then they will shoot two more films, which will be made virtually back-to-back, preferably featuring Daniel as 007 before he passes the figurative baton to someone else for a third movie that will mark the start of the new era.”
If you are a fan of the series, you know the Sony executive’s reported views of Craig as Bond make absolute sense. It’s not easy to consider how Craig revitalized the character in a imapactful way and brought in massive success with his more straightforward realistic approach to the hero who was starting get long in the tooth before his tenure started with 2008’s Casino Royale. If the story is right, Craig would deliver in the role again. If the numbers are reported here are right, he would compensated very well for it.
Of course this leads to the obvious question, what other actors are being considered to be Bond in the future? Besides Tom Hiddelston who most of us know as Loki from the Marvel films, another superhero vet in Chirs Hemsworth has tossed in his hat in the ring for the role publicly. ‘Star Trek Beyond’ star Idris Elba has been an actor who many fans have stated online they would like to see get the spot, but he seems to think he’s too old to put the tuxedo on at this point in his career. Based on this video, he also appears to have little interest in the sought-after secret agent title all together. @kevkellam

Typically when you are flying on a plane and you hear a fly attendant giving you instructions they are using their real voice. Well on a recent flight landing at Midway, a flight attendant decided to go ahead a give the land instructions in a dozen Looney Tune character voices! This twitter video went viral over the weekend showing a Ohio State chemistry class in which a student on a mezzanine hit in an incredible shot that got the entire class out of a quiz.The last time we looked it was re-tweeted over 92,00 times.
The tweet notes the person as ‘Benny” when it’s actually Vinny who saved the day with this amazing throw, based on Reddit posts that elaborate on the situation.
“Technically, he didn’t. The actual promise was that there would be no quiz, expecting that the shot would miss. Instead, he decided that we still had to take it, but it was based on participation.

Six Flags Great America launching a new roller coaster ‘The Joker’

Today Six Flags Great America announced that they would be adding a 15th roller coaster to their Gurnee park with a ‘free fly’ style ride called ‘the Joker’ in the 2017 season. The new ride which uses the popular DC Comics character as it’s theme, is modeled after a ride that opened in 2015 called ‘Batman: the Ride’ and resides at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. ‘The Joker’ will open right next to Great America’s ‘Batman’ coaster which opened in 1992. “We are excited to continue our partnership with the DC brand as it continues to resonate well with our guests. The Joker is undeniably one of the greatest Super-Villains of all time.This free-fly coaster will perfectly capture the essence of the warped and unpredictable nature of The Joker. It will take our park to the next level of thrills.” said Hank Salemi, Six Flags Great America park president, in a statement.
The Joker ride will feature “smooth head-over-heels free-fly flips, providing guests the feeling of weightlessness as they soar outside the confines of a traditional track.” It was designed by Sansei Technologies, out of Utah. “The wing seats amp up the pandemonium since riders will experience this wild adventure with no track above or below — just the sky, ground and plenty of sinister thrills.”
So prepare to bring your wimpy friends like me with you for this ride where everyone gets to be an ‘agent of chaos’.

Amy Schumer crushes a sexist heckler (VIDEO)
In comedy, there is somehow this odd attraction for some people to yell out idiotic and disruptive stuff during a live performance to somehow draw attention away from the act everyone is there to see. This happened again this week in Stockholm, Sweden except that the heckler chose to heckle the wrong comic in Amy Schumer.
Schumer whose a vet of the Comedy Central Roast specials, brought the heckler out to the attention of the crowd after he screamed ““Show us your ****!” and handed him his proverbial head from the stage. Asking what the heckler did for a living, he replied ‘sales’ and then the ‘Trainwreck’ star responded “Sales. How’s that working out? Is it going well? Because we’re not buying it.” The heckler continued to go at it with Schumer and got escorted right out of the venue.

As someone who does comedy (no where near the level of Schumer, not a direct comparison) hearing a heckler who has intent during your performance to disrupt you, I can attest that it’s just the most insulting and disrespectful thing you can do to a comic. It’s not fun for anyone in the audience, unless you can flip the energy in the room like Schumer did here and make it a triumph for the show. If you love a band, you would not treat them this way, so why do it to comedian you like as well? – @kevkellam

After two years in Chicago, NFL to announce that 2017 draft headed to Philly

The NFL will announce Thursday that the 2017 draft will be held in Philadelphia, a person with direct knowledge of the announcements tells The Associated Press. The person spoke Wednesday on condition of anonymity because the league has not made an official announcement of the move. After two years in Chicago, the draft has become a traveling show. Philadelphia beat out several other locations eager to stage the proceedings.For decades, the draft was held in New York, but scheduling issues for 2015 and a strong bid from Chicago led to it being moved. The draft traditionally is held on the final Thursday-Saturday of April, which would be April 28-30 in 2017.

Zoom comes to Instagram after a half-decade wait

It has taken Instagram five whole years, but it has finally delivered the most basic feature to its users: Zoom.
As of Wednesday, iOS users can zoom in on Instagram photos with a pinch of the fingers — a standard maneuver since Steve Jobs introduced the original iPhone way back in 2007.

It isn’t clear why the app didn’t allow users to zoom so easily before, instead forcing iPhone users to change their phone’s setting to allow zoom before forcing a super awkward three-finger double-tap to get a closer look. It was like athletics for your fingers. (MORE HERE)
