Fans may have been mixed in their reception to the DC Cinematic Universe’s ‘Suicide Squad’ movie earlier this summer, but most agreed that the wise-cracking and demented Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie was a highlight from the blockbuster. Well that momentum has lead to a confirmed Harley Quinn solo movie. The Hollywood Reporter revealed yesterday that Robbie had signed a ‘first look’ deal with Warner Bros. to produce and star in films under her LuckyChap Entertainment production company with the Quinn movie and the trapezist biopic ’Queen of the Air’.
One of the more intriguing parts of ‘Suicide Squad’ was the tragic love affair between Harley Quinn and the most notorious villain in all comic books, the Joker so getting a movie that expands on that depth is something to possibly look forward to with this new movie. No matter what happens though, we can confirm that a LOT of women will be going as Harley this Halloween.
There is no timetable to release this specific picture but there is already planned movies for Wonder Woman, Justice League, Cyborg, The Flash, Green Lantern, Shazam, and a Batman solo flick under the DC Cinematic Universe from Warner Bros. Studios. Justice League and Wonder Woman was hyped with a teaser trailers at this summer’s Comic Con which you can check them out here.
Getting away from the grand concepts of their past music videos like the animated misadventures in the classic ‘Paranoid Android’ or the recent claymation horror of ‘Burn the Witch’, Radiohead today released a engaging yet simplistic video with Paul Thomas Anderson, who previously worked with them on ‘Daydreaming’ off their most recent album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’. Thom Yorke and company play the crooning tune in the soft glow of what feels like a campfire, it’s not clear if smores were eaten off camera or if they followed this up with a ghost story.
RH has been full of surprises like this one that they pulled out at a recent Madison Square Garden show.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the fountain of youth embodied in one person Rob Lowe will star in the long-in-the-works ‘Super Trooper 2’ from the Broken Lizard comedy crew. The sequel to the cult comedy classic was funded with $4.5 million completely by fans. Fox Searchlight will release the film in North America. Broken Lizard members Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske penned the script and will star as the demented State Troopers who can’t stop getting into shenanigans.
Lowe comes into the role fresh off his recent ‘Roast’ special for Comedy Central (which really turned into a roast of conservative pundit Ann Coulter) and an acclaimed run with NBC’s ‘Parks & Recreation’. Lowe’s character in ‘ST2’ will be “Guy Le Franc, a former hockey player and the current mayor of a Quebec Canadian border town.” He’s going stay active in TV with a role on CBS’s ‘Code Black’ which has Season 2 coming soon.
Check out this short trailer Broken Lizard made for their IndieGoGo campaign. Beware NSFW language….

After announcing last spring that it would revamp the way it counts characters in Tweets, Twitter has reportedly put a date on when this change will kick in. Starting Sept. 19, Twitter will no longer count usernames in replies, media attachments — think photos, GIFs, videos, and other content — and quoted Tweets against the 140-character limit, The Verge reports, citing sources familiar with the company. Twitter first announced in May that it would allow users to express more on the site by simplifying what counts toward the character restriction in the “coming months.” (MORE HERE)

It looks like ticket prices aren’t the only sticker shocks associated with Lollapalooza. The costs to repair Grant Park following the epic summer music festival totaled $453,000 this year, according to the Chicago Park District. That represents a significant increase over last year’s costs, $236,000—almost half this year’s figure. The highest restoration cost in recent years was 2011, when a torrential thunderstorm deluged the park on Day Three and resulted in $1 million in damage.
I wonder if this cost has anything to do with people burying treasures in the ground weeks before so they won’t have to sneak them in? THOSE WE’RE GOPHER HOLES!! – m

A bank heist and house party collide in the new music video from Green Day for ‘Bang! Bang!’ off their upcoming album, ‘Revolution Radio’ due out on October 7th. The video was posted by the iconic Bay area band on their Facebook page, and already has a positive response from fans. The visual of the bank robbers wearing masks that look like enlarged versions of Mike Dirnt, Tre Cool, and Billie Joe Armstrong catches you and creates this tension of what’s going happen when these two scenarios crash into each other over the track which covers serious issues related to gun violence.
