Worst Mothers Day, David Ross, Is It Florida and What Ya Missed
Imagine you, minding your own g.d. business, mowing down on some pizza during karaoke night at some bar in Anywhere, U.S.A. Someone chooses to sing “Stressed Out” from Twenty One Pilots…and you’re thinking…that sounds an awful lot like Tyler. And then you look up and realize it IS him:
Is it poor form to sing your own song at karaoke? — [eric]
THE ROCK 2020?!
ETC. Show really riffs over the whole spectacular concept of the Rock running for office. Watch the video, these guys have an entertaining perspective on whole bunch of crazy topics like this.
Stranger things have happened right? Hollywood heavyweight champion and WWE legend The Rock is connected to a swirl of rumors that he could see him step into the ring of politics. These rumors have been around for a while, but Dwayne Johnson is now actually addressing the rumors and he’s not completely writing them off as pop culture fluff after Donald Trump surprised a lot of people jumping into public office. It was the subject of a recent GQ article.
Other pro wrestlers and entertainers have been successful in politics. Ronald Reagan was an actor in movies before he had political career that lead him to the White House as a two-term President. Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected as ‘the Governator’ of California. Fellow WWE wrestler Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura broke through as the shocking winner of a gubernatorial campaign for Minnesota as an independent in 1998. So the Rock would not be the first to slam their way into elected office.
As a lifelong WWE fan, I smell what’s cooking here.
Here’s the trailer for the Rock’s next butt-kicking blockbuster, an action-comedy take on ‘Baywatch’

Before the season began, the mighty World Champion Chicago Cubs were favored to once again win it all. But after a little over 30 games in, they’re instead floating at .500, second to last in the division, with the hated St. Louis Cardinals leading the Central. Call it the Curse of Ronnie Woo Woo.
For the uninitiated, Ronnie “Woo Woo” Wickers is a diehard Cubs lifer, a Wrigley Field staple for much of the last three decades. His omnipresence at the ballpark and in the media, coupled with his signature “woo woo” rallying cry, have made him a vintage true-Chicago character in the eyes of many fans—although he’s certainly not without his detractors. I can’t believe he still has to pay for tickets. Also WHY would you ever kick him out of a game?? He should be an honorary Cub!!
Here are some amazing options for what’s Rocking Right Now in Chicago this weekend for Mother’s Day or for whatever your weekend entails.

Officials in Chicago say they aren’t coddling inmates when talking about a new program started last month that allows inmates to order pizza delivery to their Cook County Jail cells. The pies are made by fellow inmates using the jail’s brick oven, reported the Tribune. They asked prison guards if they wanted to be included, but they told county officials they want nothing to do with food prepared by inmates. (MORE HERE)

Tennessee-natives Paramore are getting ready for a new album cycle, but that didn’t stop them to getting jiggy with it at a recent Predators playoff game over the weekend, where the band danced to the DMX banger “Party Up (Up in Here;” and they got the towels spinning.
The Nashville Predators is awaiting to see who they will face in the Western Conference Finals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Ugh….it should be the Hawks right? Three cups in 6 years, we should be happy with that Paramore are Predators fans….we can be Ok with that, their music is good…. arrrgh, I AM STILL MAD ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS GETTING SWEPT!
Paramore’s new album ‘After Laughter’ comes out Friday on the streaming services. Check out two new music videos below for ‘Hard Times’ and ‘Told You So’. Enter to win tickets to see them at RIOT FEST 2017
