Chicago Protests Charlottesville Violence

About 400 people gathered at Millennium Park and stopped traffic at times Sunday afternoon as they marched north to sidewalks across the Chicago River from Trump Tower, one of multiple similar marches that unfolded across the U.S. over the weekend.

The Chicago protesters chanted and carried signs with slogans and images blasting Trump and members of his administration. The president has drawn criticism from across the political spectrum for not specifically condemning white nationalists and neo-Nazis in a speech Saturday after their gathering in Charlottesville, Va., spun out of control.

Drinking Beer Boosts Creativity, According to Academia

I am always looking for excuses to enjoy a beer.  And once again, science (SCIENCE!) comes through.  A study out of Austria’s University of Graz says that a beer can loosen up our brain and promote more thinking that would fall outside of the box.

However, that same study also acknowledges that beer can inhibit “executive control.”  AKA, fine motor functions.  So if you’re area of creativity includes dance or say…heavy machinery…your brilliant or ground breaking idea will likely be overshadowed by it’s potential poor performance.

So…sounds like I need to experiment with the ratios of beers consumed to good ideas.  I’ll report back on my extensive research at a later date.  — [eric]

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Updated Bull Tattoo!

This tattoo makes my tattoo’s look like little stick on’s! The Rock went all out on this one for sure!

Evolution of the bull. Blood, sweat & years. After 3 sessions and 22hrs of tattooing with world renowned @NikkoHurtado, the story's almost done.. Every detail is a reflection of my own personal history. From the cracks and heavy damage in the bone representing life's hard lessons I've learned over the years. Just like scars and wrinkles – I'm so grateful to have 'em because they're earned. To the horns, not pointing up or out to the side, but pointing straight ahead representing relentless energy and forward progress. The core and anchor of this image is in the eye. Look closely and you'll find the life, energy, power and you'll feel the MANA (spirit). The eye tells the story of a disruptive positive energy always ready to dent the universe. Depending on the light and angle, sometimes the energy's subtle and sometimes it's glaring. But it's always alive and ready to disrupt the universe and love and protect my family and all things I love with intense passion and gratitude. Cheers to living, learning, evolving and growing. And to the positive disrupters ready to dent the universe. #EvolutionOfTheBull #TheDisrupter #TheMana #NowLetsBreakOutTheTequila

Listen to Panic! At the Disco with PIZZA LYRICS

What if the lyrics to Panic! At the Disco’s ‘i Write Sins Not Tragedies’ were redone with references to pizza? These are the silly things that go through my comedy buddy Andy Milne on a daily basis, we’ll have the 101WKQX on in his 1990 Honda Civic (yes, it still runs) and he will on the stop give the lyrics to a song the ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic treatment. He posted this the other day, and I lost it. It’s so ridiculous but sometimes that’s what makes life worth living right? A good song and a slice of pizza is just some of life’s simple pleasures, so why not throw a joke on top of it?

Meanwhile Brendon Urie and company are riding high after a very successful arena tour this past spring. Urie this past week finished his run in the Broadway musical ‘Kinky Boots’ to sold-out audiences.

Listen to NEW Queens of the Stone Age ‘THE EVIL HAS LANDED’

Queens of the Stone Age are releasing a new album in two weeks called ‘Villains’ and headlining Riot Fest in 36 days, so why not release a new song, right? Today the band uploaded this audio on their Youtube with this creepy dancing devil puppet for a groovy track called “THE EVIL HAS LANDED”.

The song features elements you may recall from their breakthrough ‘Songs For the Deaf’ album with washy guitars, layered high end vocals, and then a hip-shaking breakdown near the end. The Queens have not dulled their edges, but adding some stompy clappy dance vibes is welcoming.

If you have not heard the other new QOTSA track released in June, here is ‘The Way You Used to Do’
