Cold War Kids bassist buys shirt off Chicago busser’s back

It pays to serve the Cold War Kids.
Bassist Matt Maust paid a busser $100 for his Nellcote restaurant T-shirt while the California rock band dined Thursday at RM Champagne Salon in the West Loop.
The shirt, which features a picture of Rolling Stones muse Anita Pallenberg on the back, was made for staff members who opened Nellcote in the West Loop in 2012. Nellcote and RM Champagne are sister restaurants that share staff.
They be performing tonight at SOLD OUT Night 2 of STOLE. Check out their performance of First in our Lounge below.

Heading out to #TNWSC this weekend? Here is some stuff you might want to know!
Can I get in early to the venue?
Yes, the first 35 people in line with a ticket to bring a BRAND NEW children’s coat WITH TAGS will be let into the venue first. 1 coat will allow 1 person into the venue.
What time are doors?
Doors are at 6pm.
What time is {INSERT BAND HERE} playing?
The schedule for each night will be:
7:00PM â Opener
8:05PM â Second Band
9:35PM – Headliner
Is the show all-ages?
Yup! Per venue policy, everyone over the age of 2 must have a ticket to enter the event.
Can I buy tickets at doors still?
Unfortunately, Night 2 and Night 3 are SOLD OUT! But you can still buy tickets for Night 1 here!
Can I bring {insert random item here} to the venue?
Items Allowed into the venue include:
- Average size bags/back packs SUBJECT TO CHANGE
- Cameras â nonprofessional only, no detachable lenses SUBJECT TO CHANGE
- Water â up to 1 in a factory sealed or empty bottle
Items NOT Allowed:
- Weapons of any kind
- Alcohol
- Illegal drugs/substances
- Glass containers
- Cans
- Hard sided/large coolers,
- Large or oversized bags/back packs, such as luggage, duffel bags, or industrial/camping-sized back packs
- Laser pointers
- Animals (except service animals)
- Fireworks
I won tickets and I havenât gotten a call with the info about the show yet, what do I do?
If you did win, your tickets will be at the 101WKQX will call. Bring a photo ID to claim your tickets.
I won tickets, but my friend is coming later â can they still get in?

I won tickets and canât make it to the show anymore, can I give my tickets to a friend?

Last year, Night Riots visited the 101WKQX LOUNGE where they shared their musical journey with Lauren, talked the Cubs rise to glory, working with Awolnation, and they deliver exclusive performances. Also fans of 80’s alternative will be able to indulge in their cover of Tears for Fears ‘Everybody wants to Rule the World’.
