Cold War Kids bassist buys shirt off Chicago busser’s back

It pays to serve the Cold War Kids.

Bassist Matt Maust paid a busser $100 for his Nellcote restaurant T-shirt while the California rock band dined Thursday at RM Champagne Salon in the West Loop.

The shirt, which features a picture of Rolling Stones muse Anita Pallenberg on the back, was made for staff members who opened Nellcote in the West Loop in 2012. Nellcote and RM Champagne are sister restaurants that share staff.
