Okay, fans/followers of the 1975 and CHVRCHES, try to maintain reasonable body function with this news: CHVRCHES has covered “Somebody Else.” The choice cover was done in a recent Live Lounge session with the BBC. The full video of the performance isn’t up, but a short clip on Twitter has already been retweeted over 800 times today. When the full performance surfaces, we’ll update this article.

THE CONJURING IS A SCARY MOVIE!
According to horror movie blog Bloody Disgusting, these are the 10 movies were “turned off by large numbers of viewers after at least 70% of the runtime had passed, which they say indicates more than mere disinterest.” The list is based on data from Netflix. This list is a part of the fall out of ‘Veronica’, a Spainish language horror film on Netflix which is based on true events and has generated real hard scares in viewers.
Youtube listing channel Looper has put their own list of horror flicks that are too scary.
Imagine Dragons have a made a short film with their new single ‘Next To Me’. Moon Taxi is one of those bands whose music makes my heart happy.
This song makes me smile so big, and they killed it on Kimmel. Watch ‘Two High’
And ‘Not Too Late’
They were so great in our Lounge back in October, here’s the full session:
It’s 3/14… National Pi Day (because Pi starts with 3.14).
And because the world isn’t ready to exclusively celebrate math, Pi Day has also become a celebration of pizza. On that note, there are a lot of pizza chains offering discounts today.
A new survey says 55% of Americans will celebrate Pi Day today, and 43% will celebrate by eating actual pie, pizza or some other form of circular food. So with that, we hope you enjoy your circular food of choice. Key lime pie is sounding delicious right around now.
The family of Stephen Hawking has confirmed his death at the age of 76.
A family statement to the Guardian reads, “He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will live on for many years.”
Hawking was easily the best-known scientist in the world for, according to BBC.com, “his groundbreaking work with black holes and relativity.” He also made a lot of mainstream appearances on shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation and The Simpsons.
Rivers Cuomo played an intimate solo accoustic show at The Hi Hat in Los Angeles this past Saturday where perform a set of 90’s alternative classics with a few Weezer tunes. Cuomo performed emotive versions of songs from REM, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, and the Pixies. It’s worth noting he performed his own version of AJR’s ‘Sober Up, which is a song he has a featured part on in the version you have heard on 101WKQX. Watch the whole special show below.
This is another reminder of how brilliant Rivers is as a musician, especially when you see him putting his own spin on songs by other artists with their own distinct sounds.
Thanks to our buds, X105KC for turning us on to this, and a special thanks to the Youtuber who filmed the whole thing.

We live in the era of it was a thing, a thing we liked or loved, it will be rebooted.
Variety is reporting today that the cult show which just celebrated it’s 21st anniversary, is set for a potential reboot at FOX TV.
I think if you look in our library, ‘Buffy’ is probably the most ripe show we have for bringing back,” said Fox TV group chair Gary Newman at the INTV Conference in Jerusalem. But he acknowledged that he “wouldn’t get out of the building alive” if he actually announced it.
“It’s something we talk about frequently, and Joss Whedon is really one of the greatest creators we ever worked with,” he said. “When Joss decides it’s time, we’ll do it. And until Joss decides it’s time, it won’t happen.”
Yes, Whedon who went on to have massive success off the small screen with Marvel’s The Avengers series, is a critical piece to making this prospective comeback important.
The star of the original TV series Sarah Michelle Gellar posted on Instagram to remmber the show on ‘Buffy Slay Day’ with some behind the scenes photos. The cast of the show did reunite last year for a special retrospective by EW, check that out here.
Way back before comic book movies came out every week… like, 1990s way back, Tim Burton had a plan to put Nicolas Cage in the starring role of a Superman movie. The movie never got off the ground (so to speak), and Cage’s dream of wearing red underpants over his tights never became reality.
That all (kinda) changes this summer, as Cage has been announced to voice the part of Superman in the upcoming animated movie “Teen Titans GO! to the Movies.” It’s not quite the same thing, but the animated Titans are kind of amazing.
Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats did an amazing job playing “You Worry Me” on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Those horns!
A new study figured out which cities have the most diverse types of restaurants (and no, having a T.G.I. Friday’s, a Chili’s, and an Applebee’s doesn’t count).
Website Bott and Co. analyzed Google Maps to figure out which cities around the world had the most restaurants representing the food from different countries. Chicago came in fourth, confirming what we already knew: The food scene here is amazing.
Here’s the specific breakdown for Chicago. Looks like it’s time to start making a list and digging deeper into the city’s food scene…
… and it doesn’t end well.
