Today, Judah & The Lion became the first artist to return to the Lounge , all thanks to Coors Light!
The discussion with the Nashville based band (who have a Mandolin player from Wheaton!) was fun chat with a band we’ve seen rise quickly with tours with Twenty One Pilots and Incubus plus we got some ‘booty work’ during this session.
Watch the entire session here:
Yes indeed, that is the voice of William Shatner attached to this video intended to put Chicago’s best foot forward in their quest to land the second headquarters for Amazon.
I’m glad it turned out like that….rather than like THIS…

“Won’t You Be My Neighbor” is the upcoming documentary film about, Fred Rogers. It’s hard to imagine now, but his ubiquitous children’s program Mr Rogers’ Neighborhood was groundbreaking in many different ways over the 33 year run. And the official trailer touches on those moments. Including this takeaway:
“Love,” Rogers says, “is at the root of everything – all learning, all parenting, all relationships, love. Or the lack of it. And what we see and hear on the screen is part of who we become.”
Keep an eye out for what theatres it will run in starting June 8th — it will be in limited release. — [eric]
Just after releasing a new Panic! At The Disco single yesterday (you can listen to that here), Brendon Urie made a surprise appearance last night on ‘the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’ where in segment where viewers suggest random things to do on the show. Well, it’s pretty darn random to summon Urie to sing the theme song of the Disney animated series, ‘Ducktales’.
And of course, Panic got to play their brand spanking-new single ‘Say Amen (Saturday Night)’ which featured their new bassist Nicole Row making her first televised performance with the band. Their new album ‘Pray For The Wicked’ comes out June 22nd and they play the United Center on July 17th.
We saw this coming, but it’s still great to hear about it. Disney announced yesterday their plans to build Marvel themed lands within their Disneyland theme parks in California, Paris, and Hong Kong in the next few years. The Marvel land will open in Disney’s California Adventure next to the Gurdians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout ride in 2020.
There is no clear indication of which specific heroes will be utilized but it seems like if you enjoy the big cast of costumed crime fighters in the Avengers film series, than you will be happy with these attractions.
Privacy is a lost art.
If you’re an iPhone owner, you can hide message notifications from displaying on the Lock screen. The process is simple: Go to Settings > Notifications, select the app to hide, choose Previews and then select your option.
…and this is generally a good practice. You probably don’t want your Signal messages popping up while you’re sitting at dinner with friends. And yet, Brazilian website Mac Magazine reports (translated by 9to5mac) that anyone can access third-party hidden message notifications on an iPhone simply by asking Siri to read them. Note this is only for non-Apple apps (Skype, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, etc.) It won’t work with Apple’s Messages app. Siri keeps her mouth shut on those unless the phone’s unlocked.
This bug is found in iOS 11.2.6 and 11.3. Mac Magazine’s reported it to Apple.
Panic! at the Disco returns with a new album, “Pray for the Wicked,” on June 22. But wait… there’s more: Panic! also announced a tour that starts in July and will find them at the United Center on July 17!

Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ has already been a box office success and it’s not even in theaters yet. Businesswire reported today the massive superhero team-up has already surpassed other anticipated movies in advance ticket sales.
Advance Ticket Sales After 72 Hours:
257.6% ahead of BLACK PANTHER
715.5% ahead of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
1106.5% ahead of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
“The incredible advance ticket sales success we’re seeing with Avengers: Infinity War is another example of consumers giving evidence that they will come out to movie theatres in huge numbers when Hollywood makes movies they want to see,” Adam Aron, CEO and President of AMC told BusinessWire. “Just like we saw with Black Panther, Jumanji, the Greatest Showman, and so many others, movie fans are buying their tickets in advance, they’re buying in premium formats, they’re buying to reserve their seats, and they’re doing so in massive, record-breaking numbers.”
‘Infinity War’ hits theaters on April 27th.
If you have not seen it yet, here is the trailer.
The “tears of joy” emoji is having a rough time these days. Emojipedia (it’s a thing) says the number of people using the “tears of joy” emoji has freefallen since early ’17. It used to be the most popular one, but apparently we’re not laughing so hard we burst into tears anymore.
Lesser-known Marvel comics characters Cloak & Dagger get their own TV show on Freeform (Disney’s young adult network) starting in June. The trailer debuted today:
Foodbeast boldly ranked what they feel are the “top 10” fast food fries in the USA. The Golden Arches top the list, with Chick-fil-A right behind them:

2. Chick-fil-A’s waffle fries.
3. Arby’s curly fries.
4. Shake Shack’s crinkle cut fries.
5. Wendy’s French fries.
6. Popeyes fries with Cajun seasoning.
7. Del Taco’s crinkle cut fries.

10. KFC’s potato wedges.
Sorry, Steak ‘n Shake.
Forget traditional engagement rings. A new trend’s developed that finds people embedding a diamond directly into their ring finger. It’s not your typical piercing; the owner of NYC Ink Studio in New York tells WCBS, “You’re going to feel it… It is a little bit painful.”
Healing can take up to 20 weeks. And be sure you’re totally committed to your significant other… getting the diamonds removed hurts way more than putting them in.

According to a report today from the Guardian, the candy of meats Bacon is as bad for you as a cigarettes. Really? Does everything I want to eat HAVE to be bad for me?
The World Health Organization has even joined in on this sad parade with 2015 study they issued which says bacon and other processed meats could cause cancer. “The WHO advised that consuming 50g of processed meat a day – equivalent to just a couple of rashers of bacon or one hotdog – would raise the risk of getting bowel cancer by 18% over a lifetime,” the Guardian writes.
This is just a bummer.
