A cable company did a lot of research-y things (looking at domestic gross and Google Trends) to determine which 90s movies were the favorites in each of the 50 states. The results? Indiana’s down with “The Lion King.” South Dakota embraced “Terminator 2.” And here in our corner of the midwest? Both Illinois and Wisconsin love the Illinois-based “Home Alone” (1990):
The sequel to the super-successful horror/thriller “A Quiet Place” has been given the release date of 5/15/20. There’s no title yet, an writer/director/star John Krasinski’s still writing the script.
When I spoke to Matt Bellamy back in February he said we may get a new Muse album by the end of the year and they have delivered!

When he was 14 years old, Moses Lanham fell off a rope in gym class crashing 18 feet down where he landed awkwardly on the floor. Now he can TURN HIS LEGS AROUND COMPLETELY :O
What kind of party tricks can you do? Tweet me.

Kinda. Here’s the deal. Matt Bellamy posted a video of him playing the guitar solo for a new Muse song called The Dark Side. He’ve giving you the solo, now he wants you to write the song around it. That sounds like fun.
Oh, and it’s nice to see even big time rock stars plug in and play in the garage! -wALT
The Chicago Cubs are reportedly working on creating their own independent cable TV channel to broadcast their games and more content. Broadcasting And Cable reports today that the Cubs current deal with NBC Sports Chicago is set to expire after the 2019 season, and the popular MLB franchise is making moves to launch their own venture on TV.
Mike McCarthy who previously was the CEO of the St. Louis Blues in the NHL and formerly lead the MSG Network in New York City, has been hired by the Cubs according to industry sources.
NBC Sports Group is a partner in NBC Sports Chicago along with the Cubs, the Chicago White Sox, the Chicago Bulls of the NBA and the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks, with each team holding 20% since 2004.
“We’re still in negotiations with our team partners and remain fully committed to the sports business in Chicago,” NBC Sports Chicago said in a statement.
Other big baseball franchises like the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Boston Red Sox all have their own regional cable channels so this would not be the firs titme.

The beer goes on sale for a limited time September 21st.

Two popular Youtubers went into the ring on Saturday in Manchester, England with a sold-out crowd of 15,000 and millions streaming it online. Logan Paul, the tone-deaf attention starved dude who filmed a dead body in Japan’s ‘Suicide Forest’ months ago battled gaming tuber KSI. The two traded insults for months online, made diss rap tracks against one another, and also got each other’s brothers to fight on the under card of this carnival sideshow charging $10 for 6-round amateur fight which ended… in a draw. Yes, a draw. The rematch apparently has already been booked.
No matter what you may think of it, the fight has to be considered a success as a business venture. Mashable said has this take: “Using their massive platforms fueled by clickbait-y drama, the Paul and Olatunji brothers did what they do best: take money from children — or, really, parents willing to open their wallets for merch and PPV. ”
The Verge reported today the fight drew around 773,000 live viewers officially and the latest number is settled right under 5 million total paid viewers. Still it looks like a majority of people watched the fight illegally on Twitch.
The response to the fight from fans of these millennial darlings has been mixed at best, but many have speculated the fight was a big fix and not legit bout as it was sold to be. Neither have legtimate boxing background, except KSI who previously promoted a similar fight some time ago and immediately challenged the Pauls.
The #KSIvLogan fight ending in a tie is just further proof to me that it was a publicity stunt. Now they'll just make more money off of the rematch.

Disappointed in @Twitch today for not actively banning streamers rebroadcasting the #KSIvLogan fight.
They may have tried but to see that 1,000,000 we’re still watching it shows they didn’t try hard enough. pic.twitter.com/XZdelDen9j— Tom 🛴 (@ProSyndicate) August 25, 2018
About 800,000 people paid $10 to watch KSI and Logan Paul’s fight on YouTube. More than one million people watched the fight through numerous illegal streams on Twitch. Twitch pirates always win. https://t.co/8NpCESqQBh pic.twitter.com/S6w6lCtiJa

Mad respect to both @jakepaul and @LoganPaul for the fights yesterday, the event was insane and they both performed so congrats on everything 🙌🏼
— Wedgeman Simon (@miniminter) August 26, 2018
Of course, the pot is already brewing for another hype fest.
after sleeping on it & rewatching the fight…
i should’ve won, 4-2. i was the better boxer & athlete but my bitch ass got too tired 😂 idk how KSI’s throw downs & illegal hits AFTER the bell weren’t accounted for in the score BUT
doesn’t matter.
