Just in time for Halloween, Burger King is releasing its “Nightmare King” sandwich on Monday. It comes on a green bun, which is well-known as the spookiest of bun colors. It also includes a burger, chicken fillet, American cheese, bacon, mayo and onions. The burger runs $6.39, which may be the scariest fact of all.
Last year, Trent Reznor and Atticus Finch delivered a digital-only version of John Carpenter’s Halloween theme… and now it’s been pressed to vinyl. The limited edition 12″ will have Reznor/Finch’s version on the A side, and Carpenter’s 2017 reworking of the theme as the B side. The vinyl comes in orange or black, naturally.
And here’s the digital version:

“Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams” is a documentary by filmmaker Mat Whitecross who also directed the Oasis:Supersonic documentary and has known the Coldplay guys since college.
The film “offers an in-depth and intimate portrait of the band’s spectacular rise from the backrooms of Camden pubs to selling out stadiums across the planet. At the heart of the story is the band’s unshakeable brotherhood which has endured through many highs and lows.”
The doc will play in theaters for one night only during a global event on November 14th, then will be available on Amazon Prime a few days later.

Are you as terrified of this thing as I am? I have a feeling these things are going to take over the world in the future.
The folks at the robot engineering firm Boston Dynamics posted this video today of SpotMini twerking and moonwalking to Bruno Mars. Sure, it’s cute to watch a robot dog thing dance to “Uptown Funk” but what if it were programmed with evil intentions?
Sleep well, my friends. -wALT

The so-far well-reviewed “Halloween” reboot comes out on Friday, and just as Michael Myers prepares to scare the crap out of us, John Carpenter has released a track from the soundtrack.
“Halloween Triumphant” is a modernization of the Halloween theme, and it’s ready for your Halloween party playlist.
The cover of the new Issue of Kerrang was just posted on Instagram Recent rumors are getting stronger that Nirvana might announce a massive tour soon. Check it out!
The headline: “World Exclusive: Nirvana Reunited. Dave & Krist Speak”. Will they reveal the future of Nirvana? Is it a tour? Who will front?
Kerrang’s new issue will be out tomorrow. We’re just waiting…
A week ago Nirvana reunited as the surprise Cal Jam 2018 headliner to perform their material for only the second time since Kurt Cobain’s death in April 1994.
Here’s what Nirvana played on their last Chicago show (10/25/93, at the Aragon):
As we get ready for the Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror XXIX” on Sunday, it’s worth noting that next year’s installment will be the series’ 666th episode. That’s next-level Halloween synergy, folks.
In the meantime, here’s what’s coming up this weekend…
This years installment includes Homer in an oyster-eating contest against the mythical Cthulhu. Cant wait.
Sure you’ve been drunk, but have you ever been “jump in a shark tank naked” drunk?
This takes balls.
Pretty sure you can’t see any bit or pieces, but be advised this is a naked man swimming in a shark tank at Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto.
The aquarium stays open late on the second Friday of every month for a “Jazz Night” with a cash bar. I remember my first beer.
