Travis Barker has been cleared medically to play again for Blink-182, which means their Las Vegas residency is back on this week. After a car wreck, the drummer dealt with both a nasty staph infection as well as blood clots in his arms. But all that is in the rear view mirror.
Speaking of rear view mirrors, a series of tweets between Tom DeLonge and Travis quoting their hit song “I Miss You” had fans thinking there might be a reunion in store.
I am the voice inside your yeeeeaaaad
— Tom DeLonge (@tomdelonge) October 18, 2018
Sadly, that won’t happen. Seems Tom might be able to use the money though, as reports are that his new UFO-researching enterprise is seriously in the hole — to the tune of nearly $40 million dollars.
Maybe he’ll buy a ticket for the Mega Millions drawing this week? — [eric]

In a report today from Patch, we once again became number 1 on a filthy list. Chicago is the most rat-infested city in America for the 4th consecutive year according to pest control company Orkin. The video above which was filmed with 2017’s rat data, has this evergreen disgusting factoid: the Norway breed of rat common to Chicago can produce 15,000 offspring in a single year between just one male and one female.
Here is the list for 2018.
On top of that info, I can tell you these rats are bold too. I have posted this video before but it shows how brave these vermin are now.
Sometimes a clever idea is such dumb pure fun, you have to film it. The crafty bros at Team Edge took that vibe when they attached two electric skateboards to a recliner. This may be a ‘lazy boy’ chair, but it’s does not look lazy. Stomach the overbearing electronic dance music in some parts, but enjoy these tech-driven sons of ‘Jackass’ they take this racing seat to the test with entertaining results.
The mult-state Mega Millions jackpot has reached a massive winning number of $1 billion after the most recent drawing did not produce a winner. Here is a rundown of the madness and social reaction to the lottery getting so high. You will see the lines at convenience store so expect the wait for your Slurpee.
1 in 302 million is your odds of winning the Mega-Millions according to CNBC. This video breaks it all down.
‘The Late Late Show’ gives ‘Halloween’ the ‘Making the Murderer’ treatment.
There has been a lot of hype around the new remake/sequel hitting theaters this weekend. ‘Halloween’ (2018) basically retcons all of the films in the horror franchise after the 1978 original directed by John Carpenter. This new film is directed by David Gordon Green off a screenplay with contributions from Danny McBride, with Carpenter helping to refresh the iconic music score and help produce the entire project. Jamie Lee Curties reprises her role from the original as a now paranoid mother spending the last 40 years to prepare for this epic confrontation with the masked Michael Myers. So what do the trusted movie reviewers of Youtube think? Note these reviews below are not spoiler-heavy.
These reviews are mixed in their praise but the consensus feels like it delivers on callbacks to the orginal with scares, well-toned violence, and overall creepiness.
Just like last year, Nine Inch Nails didn’t make the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination ballot. In a new interview with Stereogum, Reznor says he couldn’t care less:
“It’s irritating every year that suddenly my inbox lights up with, ‘Oh man, sorry about …’ I don’t give a ****! [Laughs] You know what I mean? I don’t … the worst would be if we did [get inducted] and then what? We’d have to f*****’ show up and jam? I can’t even imagine what that would be.’

Kit Kat is the most popular candy in Illinois, according to Candystore.com, a bulk candy distributor. Sour Patch Kids and Snickers are #2 and #3, respectively. Not sure how Sour Patch Kids continue to perform as well as they do in Illinois, especially when Reese’s Cups aren’t in the top 3.

Pearl Jam’s second album Vs. was released 25 years ago today (October 19, 1993)
The album was supposed to be called Five Against One (a lyric from “Animal”) and the sheep on the album cover was from a Hamilton, Montana farm and (according to Jeff Ament) represented the band’s state of mind when making the now classic album.
So many great tracks: (Daughter, Glorified G, Animal, Go, Dissident, Elderly Woman… and Rearviewmirror). Pearl Jam refused to make videos for any of them.
Vs set a then industry record by selling more than 950,000 copies in its first five days.

The King of Monsters has been honored with his very own constellation. NASA has assigned the name “Godzilla’ to a gamma-ray constellation. NASA explains that Godzilla’s trademark weapon is his “heat ray,” which they explain “bears at least a passing resemblance to gamma-ray jets associated with black holes and neutron stars.”
