The “Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)” video features Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray as a wacky, over-the-top radio host.
In the video, the Smashing Pumpkins, as part of a radio-station promotion, agree to spend the night in a haunted mansion, encountering all things spooky (including McGrath dusting off an old Sugar Ray “classic”.)
Watch it here:
Twenty One Pilots are capturing moments on their current road trip with The Bandito Tour. In episode one, experience the pure joy of the band just holding on to the packaging for the new album, “Trench.” You can also experience the opposite feeling when Josh has an accident during rehearsal. WARNING: there is a fair amount of blood, for the squeamish. — [eric]
Came across a couple of “before they were famous” moments with Nirvana this week.
First, this audio interview with the band from 1989. The night after the band played to a couple of handfuls of fans in Hoboken — literally 10 fans — they sat down with music journalist John Robb to discuss their future. And at that time, the future would have been the work their were putting in on their defining album, “Nevermind.” Kurt Cobain mentioned one of the songs he wrote had a similar sound to “About A Girl.” That song ended up a little thing called “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
The other is this record store performance captured in their hometown of Seattle — just one week before the release of that aforementioned album. Apparently Kurt was really freaked out that some of his high school peers sought out his autograph during the event. — [eric]

it was the perfect smart comedic take on dumb things.’Amercian Vandal’ a mockumentary series that spoofed true crime shows like ‘Making a Murderer’ with a deep dive into high school pranks was axed this week by Netflix after just two seasons. The show is profoundly entertaining and binge-wortthy for sure, but for whatever reason Netflix said no more faux documentaries about who spray painted male body parts on a car and the cover-up surrounding it.
The second season advanced the concept with the teen film makers taking the sheanigans from their own school, to a new shcool with poop jokes. It was refreshing look at the high school culuture and the characters you knew back in the day.
One of the most unique and striking voices in alternative Just Loud stopped by for an intimate session in the LOUNGE yesterday with Lauren. The sessions shed light on his emotional inspirations for his music, how he refused to be a pop singer, and features a crushing cover of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ as well as his breakout hit ‘Electrified’.
Want to get into a future session in the LOUNGE ? Text LOUNGE to 312101 for text alerts on how you enter-to-way your way into future visits from the biggest bands in alternative.
Trick or Treat!! Definitely treat! My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way dropped a new song out of nowhere today. Check out “Baby, You’re a Haunted House”! -wALT
Before she plays a sold-out show at the Metro on Sunday and streams a live session with 101WKQX from the Lounge on Monday, Billie Eilish made more waves around the web this week with a video for the emotive breakup ballad ‘when the party’s over’. It’s currently trending number 5 of all videos of Youtube with over 5.8 million views when we last checked.
The clip which feels like it’s shot in one continuous flow, shows the teenage alt maverick sipping from a cup that represent some pain from her past. What happens here visiual weighs heavy if you have ever had to live through something awful in a relationship while having to a long with your everyday life.
It’s one of the best music videos I have seen all year, and adds so much more engagement to the song itself.

I wasn’t expecting to hear a vocoder on Mumford and Sons epic new song but I like it. The visuals are also perfectly trippy for the song as well.
Mumford and Sons new album Delta is out November 16th!
Lately I find myself taking out a lot of the great craft beer made in our fair city — and enjoying it at home, direct from the brewery.
But sometimes its not so clear which places will only do pours in THEIR glassware, or if they even do different sizes (64oz, 32oz, or even the infamous crowler)
That’s why I was happy to come across THIS guide from Guys Drinking Beer. Takes all the questions out of it. And it seems like they update regularly, so bookmark this page beer lovers. — [eric]
Facebook is working on new features to integrate music more fluidly throughout the site including the option to add a profile song!
The feature, which Facebook plans to start testing “soon,” will let users add songs to their profiles. The songs will either appear in a new, dedicated “music” section or at the very top of the profile page if the song is “pinned” just like your old MySpace page!
These songs will also link to the artist’s Facebook page. There will be “millions” of songs available (the same music catalog available via Instagram Stories).
People who visit your profile will then be able to then judge your taste in music and stalk and/or unfriend you accordingly!
Hi Tom!
The Red Sox won Game 1 of the World Series last night, beating the Dodgers 8-4. That’s a big deal for everyone in Boston . . . but for everyone else, the big story was: FREE TACOS.
Taco Bell was doing one of their promotions where the first base runner to steal a base in the World Series would be deemed this year’s ‘Taco Hero’ . . . and everyone would get free tacos. It’s the seventh year they’ve done it.
Well, MOOKIE BETTS of the Red Sox didn’t waste any time. He stole a base in the first inning . . . securing a free Doritos Locos Taco for everyone in America.
That means YOU get a taco . . . and YOU get a taco . . . and YOU get . . . okay, okay, you get my point.
You can redeem your free taco on Thursday, November 1st, by visiting any participating Taco Bell location between 2:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. local time. No purchase is necessary . . . you just simply ask for a free Doritos Locos Taco.
(If you didn’t witness YOUR new TACO HERO, here’s the video.)
Because he's the Taco Hero baseball deserves.

Did Ross steal some booze?! Maybe Rachel will have to bail him out of jail?
Let’s get into it.
Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him in relation to a theft at a Blackpool restaurant on the 20th…
Posted by Blackpool Police on Tuesday, October 23, 2018
Someone resembling actor David Schwimmer whose known best for the role of ‘Ross’ on the NBC sitcom ‘Friends’ stirred up an internet storm when his video still of him robbing a store in England went viral. This lead to over 134,000 comments on the initial post from the Blackpool Police Dept., and you better believe it was a lot of fans of the show dropping in the memeist takes they could think of.
The resemblance is uncanny, but Schwimmer a veteran of Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater, professed his innocence in a hilarious response video. The short video has drawn in almost 1.8 million views since being posted.
Officers, I swear it wasn't me.
As you can see, I was in New York.
To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.#itwasntme pic.twitter.com/EDFF9dZoYR— schwim (@DavidSchwimmer) October 24, 2018
Scwimmer has taken on a role on the revised ‘Will &Grace’ and continues an active career. He also revealed in an interview that he makes $20 million a year off the syndication rights to ‘Friends’. So yeah he’s fine, before you think he needs to rob a convenience store.
