Sometimes you just don’t want to talk while you’re riding in an Uber, and usually, you just happen to get that overly chatty driver.
But not the company has launched a new preference in the app that allows you to specify what level of chattiness you desire during an Uber. You’ll be able to select “Quiet Preferred” or “Happy to Chat” if you have a preference, or you could just leave the setting alone on “No Preference.”
These preferences will be available if you hail an Uber Black or Uber Black SUV.
Plus, it’s important to note that you must change the settings before you hail a ride. The preferences cannot be selected as a driver is on the way to pick you up on is in progress.
Fast Company also listed other preferences riders will be able to preselect for Uber Black and Uber Black SUV rides:
Think you’ll be using this on your next ride to the airport?
Seems like people are really upset with HBO and how Game of Thrones 8th season is going. So much so they have signed a petition to get a remake of the season.
‘ Dylan D.’ launched the petition last Thursday but really gained traction this Wednesday, seems May 12th episode really made people mad.
Currently, the petition has 333,000 signatures at 6:45 am CST.
Season eight has faced increasingly negative reviews as each episode has aired. Viewers are starting to think that the creators of the show are rushing towards the end and staying away from the established character arcs.
This season is also unlike others because it completely is written by the showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss instead of novelist George R. R. Martin’s books.
Dylan D. started this petition to HBO stating:
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.
This series deserves a final season that makes sense.
Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!
Do you agree that this season needs a remake? Well, go sign the petition!

Well, we never would have called this one: Chicago accents are one of the “sexiest” accents in a America. Take the findings with a grain of salt, mind you (the results come from a site called “bigseventravel.com“). And said in a true Chicago accent: Take a pitcher; it lasts longer.
Crack open a “pop” in your frunchroom and dig into the list here.
Finally the most dysfunctional outer-space inter-dimensional adventure family is coming back to our collective screens. Rick & Morty is set for Season 4, coming out via Adult Swim this November. This is huge news for fans of the popular animated show who have been waiting for new episodes since October 2017 with Season 3 ending with Rick getting into a big showdown with the leader of the free world.
This teaser video of course drops the big news in a mumbled casual style before zapping the viewer with a laser. It’s the quintessential style of humor from the show’s creator Dan Harmon and his talented team. If you still don’t think this is a fun show, check out how they record the voice overs for the show.
In a recent interview with Kerrang! magazine, former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge revealed that he has a desire to return to the pop punk power outfit that brought him to prominence.
“I get it—trust me, I love blink and it’s given me everything in my life,” DeLonge says. “And, you know, I plan on doing it in the future. But right now there’s just no way—I have way too much going on because Angels & Airwaves is a part of To The Stars, and that’s why it works.”
DeLonge is right here as he is busy with his current band Angels & Airwaves selling out an upcoming tour and his UFO research group, To The Stars Academy. He’s also involved in a History Channel series about UFOs called ‘Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation’.
Angels & Airwaves released their first new single in several years recently. It’s called ‘Rebel Girl’, stream it here.
Meanwhile Blink-182 is busy on their own with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba in the fold, recently releasing their own new single ‘Blame It On My Youth’.

Black Mirror released the trailer for season 5 on Twitter, with the caption: “You should’ve seen it coming.”
The upcoming series seems to focus again on the relationship between humans and technology, with notions or love, security, sex, family and work, all under the microscope.

Hope you don’t get hooked.
Here’s your ‘Florida Man’ story for the day – a man is facing battery charges after allegedly slapping his sleeping girlfriend with a cheeseburger.
The victim says she was sleeping when her boyfriend, 30-year-old Kyle Jones, began slapping her in the face with a cheeseburger, before pulling her hair and kicking her down the stairs
Deputies say the woman was still sporting “several remnants of said cheeseburger” when they arrived. Jones was jailed and released on bond.

Disney has been dropping a lot of hints towards the future of Star Wars with several new TV series in development for their streaming service Disney+ and a slew of new films in the works, but now it seems these upcoming films will have a Game of Thrones influence.
Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed at a business conference this week according to Consequence of Sound that Game of Thrones show runners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will launch their own Star Wars trilogy of films following this December’s Rise of the Skywalker.
GoT will air it’s final episode this Sunday.
Also here is what light sabers would like like in GoT. The Force is strong in Jon Snow.
Foo Fighters have been staunch supporters of music education with young children. That became even more evident recently on ‘Ellen’ when a viral video sensation Yoyoka Soma returned to the talk show to perform a rousing cover of Foo classic ‘the Pretender’. Dave Grohl surprised the young percussionist with a video message after she crushed it on national TV.

Some of us may have that Polaroid that we have to take a picture of with our phones to post social media, and it shows the oddly now-hilarious fashion faux pas you made in the past. Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus is someone who knows his band was deeply tied to the first big wave of ‘pop punk’ culture within the alternative music universe, and with that came some time-specific threads that remain in the past. Hoppus posted the following on the ‘gram.
Oh those shorts that jort through the ages. 1999 when the backwards visor and the Jinco jean had a place on our collective heads and butts.

The theme song for childhood show Arthur is basically a “love is love” anthem, so it’s actually a bit of a surprise that the first LGBTQ character was only introduced this year – but they’ve finally embraced this “original point of view”.
The season 22 premiere episode, titled “Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone”, begins with Arthur and his friends mistaking a lady helping with wedding preparations as his fiancé. The woman, voiced by Jane Lynch, turns out to be his sister. The kids are pleasantly surprised when it’s revealed that the chocolate shop owner, Patrick, is the one marrying Mr. R.
Yet the most shocking part of the episode is how after 22 years, Arthur and his friends are still in the 3rd grade.
