What would you do if you found out your roommates had made a podcast about your life without you knowing?
Well, this one woman found out her roommates made a podcast all about how they can’t stand her, while they mocked her mental health issues. Shockingly people actually listen to it!
Once she learned about it, she turned to the internet for help.
Posting the issue on the /r/relationships subreddit. Stating how she first found out about the whole thing thanks to some fan mail the roommates received:
I was picking up mail from the mailbox and they got a fanmail postcard sent to them from their friend away at a religious camp. On it described how the podcast update “made her day”, and described how she laughed at the parts about info pertaining to my eating disorder, mental health, and how they think my new SO (24M) is “…interesting…” (aka they think he’s awkward).
After reading this bizarre piece of mail, she realized what was going on.
Not only is it incredibly uncomfortable to think how they’re essentially making my life a reality tv show, but the fact that they are sharing info that they promised to keep secret (i.e. my eating disorder and mental health issues) is really distressing. I hear them gossip about me when in adjacent rooms, but I wouldn’t have expected a full blown f**king podcast about my quirks and f**k ups…. They’re the type to watch a lot of dating reality TV and watch gossipy popular youtubers , so it makes sense to me that they are the epitome of drama queens …. however this really feels like crossing a line.
Finally, she asked for help — and said she’s already locked into living with this gruesome twosome for another year.
How do I approach them about this?I have to live with these people for another year, how do I bring up the fact that I know they are talking to me behind my back all the time?
What type of roommates-from-hell is this?
Some went through her post history and noticed her older post about a fake LinkedIn profile in her name, believing it was the roommates messing with her then!
Many people had the same advice, MOVE OUT. Which is stating the obvious here, but some had other advice.
User BiggusDickus asked if they were in college, saying:
If so you should also report them to your Dean of Students. This is absolutely grounds for expulsion.
And no, it doesn’t matter if you live off campus or this is a “personal” issue. Students are bound to a code of conduct 24/7 everywhere, and they would seriously be violating it.
Another user said she should see a lawyer and draft a Cease & Desist Order because even if they didn’t give out her name directly they gave out their address so people could figure out her name by looking up the address. Or if she didn’t want to do that, she should contact the landlord to discuss the situation and hopefully get removed from the lease ASAP.
Unfortunately we don’t know what she ended up doing, but hopefully, she’s away from those terrible people.
She never found out the actual podcast, and neither did we, but wouldn’t you wanna hear what was said?
In the middle of the hot summer, you might be dreaming of a beach vacation. Unfortunately, a lot of US beaches have shown unsafe swimming conditions. A study showed that 60 percent of America’s 4,500 beaches had at least one day of unsafe bacteria levels in 2018. The contamination was caused by sewage runoff and animal waste. The dirtiest beach was Southern California’s Cabrillo Beach; it had the highest percentage of unsafe days based on tests. Illnesses from swimming in contaminated water include stomach flu, rashes, and pink eye. Here’s the list of Illinois’ worst:
• South Shore Beach, Cook (38 unsafe days, 98 samples)
• Calumet South Beach, Cook (35, 96)
• 63rd Street Beach, Cook (34, 95)
• Rogers Avenue Park Beach, Cook (33, 95)
• Howard Street Park Beach, Cook (28, 96)
As the Bird scooters gain popularity and enter major cities across the country, people seem to need a refresher on where NOT to ride them.
Seems this man decided that is was ok to take the scooter, that goes around 20-25 mph, onto the highway.
A dashcam video shows a man riding a scooter on the Dallas highway where the speed limit is 70 MPH with absolutely no care in the world.
Texas’s governor Greg Abbot even commented on the video tweeting, “That does it. I believe in less government. But allowing these scooters on crowded interstate highways is bad government and endangers public safety.”
Have the scooters gone too far this time? (probably not).
Renner, South Dakota native Joshua Bohl was driving through his neighborhood when he stopped in awe to take a picture of a demolished house with the words, “Got the spider!” spray-painted on it.
Joshua knew at that moment that the internet had to see this.
Following the post, the owners of the demolished house came forward to speak about it.
Jeff Hopkins, 51, decided it would be funny to paint the words on one of his houses that he was demolishing.
Jeff’s girlfriend Dawn Cron also said in a statement to the local newspaper, “It made somebody stop and giggle for a few minutes and remember that life doesn’t always have to be a hustle and bustle. To me it’s a blessing, because we made somebody smile and laugh about it.”
Although this was all in fun, do you think they REALLY caught the spider?
Today, July 24th premieres the new Chicago based sitcom “South Side”.
“South Side” follows two friends who just graduated from community college and are ready to take over the world. But until they do, they’re stuck working at Rent-T-Own. Shot on location in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, the show offers an authentic look into what life on the South Side is all about.
The Chicago Suntimes says how it’s,
It is edgy and bold, outrageous and provocative, and very much of its time and place, yet also reminiscent of popular and traditionally structured workplace comedies such as “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Superstore.”
All 10 episodes were shot in Chicago in the summer of 2018, some places like Harolds Chicken.
Don’t worry – you don’t have to be good at steppin to enjoy South Side. pic.twitter.com/ZFbGtge19a

The show even had several of DePaul’s students and alums involved in the filming while they were using Depauls Cinespace Studios.
Bashir Salahuddin, a South Shore native, created the show with his former “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” colleagues Diallo Riddle and Michael Blieden. Their goal is to change the world’s perception of black Chicago.
“The first thing you hear about the South Side is ‘Isn’t that place dangerous?’ The reality is that it is a place with economic challenges, that stuff is all real, but let’s show you the whole picture. Let’s show you the stuff that puts a smile on our face,”
News outlets are already saying this sitcom needs more than just 10 episodes. We’ve only seen trailers and clips off their Twitter page but this is a show we will DEFINITELY be watching.
Will you be watching?

It is one of the most legitimately dangerous movies ever made. It featured a 150 untrained lions along with a pack of elephants, cougars, panthers, tigers, and more with actors interacting on camera together. What could go wrong? Yes, this is a real movie that was obviously mired in injuries, crew members walking out, too many injuries, and a years-long struggle to get all financed. This is the insane story of Roar. OKI’s Weird Stories documented how crazy all of this was in this retrospective video above.
The 1981 film was directed, produced, and starred Noel Marshall who along with his family had raised a family lion cubs in California. A animal trainer mistakenly told them they would need to fully raise a pack of lions from cubs to get a bond with to properly make the film, and that just expanded into more animals that no one should keep as pets. Marshall’s wife Tippi Hedren (star of ‘the Birds) with daughter Melanie Griffith and son John Marshall were a part of the film which took place on a real animal sanctuary that Marshall had purchased to maintain the growing collection of animals. It was a giant mess with Marshall, Griffith, and other suffering serious injuries that delayed production, only for them to trudge on with the misguided project.
Movie review channel Red Letter Media roasted the movie for it’s cringe-inducing uncomfortable tone and unhealthy situations in a recent episode. Yep, that’s MacCauley Culken on the panel. The Roar segment starts about 45 minutes into the show.

Two men have been charged after staging a dedicated, if disturbing, ‘anti-vegan’ protest at a London street market. Police say the duo stood in front of a vegan stand and ate dead squirrels, declaring that they were ‘raising awareness about the dangers of not eating meat’. According to court documents, the squirrels were raw with the fur still attached and the surrounding crowd was begging them to stop. The protesters, one of whom was wearing a shirt that said ‘Veganism = Malnutrition’, were charged with disorderly behavior and fined a total of $750.

There is a well-known burger “beef” between the east coast and west coast surrounding their respective exclusive hamburger joints. On the east coast, you have Shake Shack, home of the ShackBurger. On the West Coast, there’s In-N-Out, where you can get your burger animal style.
Whether you rep Shake Shack or In-N-Out you always respect the territory where they sling their patties.
That is until Saturday…
My buddy Lincoln found a perfectly wrapped In-N-Out burger…
On the streets of Queens, New York!
I AM FREAKING OUT pic.twitter.com/TZbGvLn9N0
— David Gardner (@byDavidGardner) July 20, 2019
Untouched, perfectly wrapped, no answers. NO ONE HAS ANY IDEA WHERE THIS MYSTERIOUS SANDWICH CAME FROM.
Is this some kind of sign? Is the burger turf war finally over? Will peace prevail!?
We’ll all know soon… or we won’t because no one knows how this burger got there, so oh well!
So someone decided to diss the CTA and they weren’t takin’ it.
The user has since deleted the tweet but of course, someone got a screenshot in before it was gone.

But they had the best response, one that wasn’t too harsh but just the right amount to hopefully kick the user off their high horse.
🙄 Self righteousness belongs to the narrow minded, the CTA belongs to everyone.

We have been getting tons of nerd movie news out of this week’s Comic Con in San Diego, including yesterday’s big announcement of the next phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe at a jam packed panel with Marvel Studio leaders. One thing that was mentioned for the huge crowd was reported by ComingSoon.net and it may been lost in yesterday’s Phase 4 freak outs, the Fantastic Four are finally joining the MCU on the Disney side.
The Fantastic Four have been integral characters in the history of Marvel Comics, after being created by Stan Lee as the first super team in the universe of characters. Yes, before their was the Avengers there was the Four. Here is the character’s origins and how they came to be from their 1961 debut.
The Fantastic Four were under Fox studio movie rights for their past three films, but Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige revealed that the otherworldly astronauts turned super-powered will now fall under the MCU banner. No information has been revealed on a cast, a screenwriter, or a director for the planned film.
The 2005 and 2007 films were big budget takes on the Human Torch, the Thing, Mr. Fantastic, and the Invisible Woman but have you heard about the basement financed version directed by B-movie veteran Roger Corman? Watch the so-bad-it-may-be-good trailer here.
