TIME Magazine has unveiled a list of the most influential gadgets of the decade. This has been such an incredible decade for technological advancements that it’s easy to forget what has come and gone this decade.

The list includes the iPad, Tesla, the Google Chromecast, and AirPods, among other items.

The first iPad was introduced in April 2010 and sense then, numerous variations have been unveiled. In September, the 7th generation iPad hit the market. It’s hard to believe the way tech has progressed even within the same products throughout the decade.

At 6:00 am on New Years Day 2020, marijuana becomes legal in the city of Chicago and the map below details where anyone that is at least 21 years older with a valid driver’s license will be able to buy marijuana in officially licensed stores.

State law says that there is a limit on purchases and that a person may only buy up to 30 milligrams of weed, 5 grams of concentrated THC oils, and 500 milligrams of edibles.

Stay safe, Chicago. New Years Day will certainly be an adventure.

World’s oldest couple is also world’s cutest couple

John and Charlotte Henderson have been married for 80 years, as of last week. John, 106 years old, and Charlotte, 105, combine for 211 years of age. The two celebrated 80 years together in a 1920s roadster, just like they did on their first date.

The two met at the University of Texas in 1934 and married five years later, right after the start of World War II. The two have survived multiple generations, numerous wars, constant changes in culture, and they’re still together. 80 years together is truly special.

John Frusciante returns to RHCP, watch his best solos

As if we did not have enough fun this past week with 5 incredible Nights We Stole Christmas, we got the big news on Sunday that beloved guitar player John Frusciante will once again return to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He was a key player in the band’s worldwide explosion in the 90s and 2000’s, crafting with the guy’s countless hit songs and smash albums. So let’s check out some of Frusciante’s best guitar solos from his previous runs with the Chili Peppers.

Frusciante last left the band in 2009, producing solo music while maintaining a friendship with the band. Since then Frusciante’s friend and guitar tech Josh Klingoffer earned his stripes helping create the hit albums ‘I’m with You’ and “The Getaway’.

Long-term effects of vaping as bad as you might expect

A new study on the long-term effects of vaping has linked e-cigarettes to chronic lung disease.The report is the first long-term study done on the health effects of vaping, launching in 2013. The study found a 30% increase in the risk of diseases like asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.

According to the study, the health risks from vaping are still lower than the risks associated with smoking traditional cigarettes, but people who smoke AND vape face triple the risk of lung disease.

In 2019, the CDC confirmed more than 2,400 illnesses and 52 deaths linked to vaping.

Big Mouth Billy Bass is an American institution. To some, he represents a certain charm about American culture and consumerism. There’s no good reason for Big Mouth Billy Bass to exist, but they do and for a lot of people that’s great. For some, however, like Tony Soprano, they represent everything that is wrong with the world.

When Big Mouth Billy Bass is hooked up to an Alexa giving it the ability to speak like Samuel L Jackson, however, this is no denying that this is not only a great piece of technology but something truly innovative in the market place. The only way that toys are going to be able to compete with a tablet-filled universe is if they all have the ability to speak like Samuel L Jackson. One could argue that would be bad for the children, but the other side of that coin is that an increased amount of Samuel L Jackson could be good for future generations.

Santas subdue stabbing suspect

SantaCon is one of the dumbest events of the year. Every year, thousands upon thousands of people put on heavy wool, a fake beard, and uncomfortable boots and ascend upon The Big Apple. Luckily, the Santas made themselves useful to society this weekend as they subdued a stabber on the subway system. The video embedded below is not graphic, although the language is NSFW.

It’s hard getting your ass kicked, but it has to be an especially large pill to swallow when a large group of Santas beats you to a pulp, in public.

More power to the young, drunk, and dumb Santas who honest to God made a heroic move over the weekend.

The Chili Peppers announced this afternoon on their official Instagram account that guitarist John Frusciante will be rejoining the band.  In the same message, they praised the work of replacement member and “beautiful musician,” Josh Klinghoffer.  One of the most anticipated albums of 2020 is the one the Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on now….and guaranteed, it will be even more so now with THIS news.  — [eric]

New Xbox console coming in 2020, watch the trailer

So here is a look at the new XBOX gaming console which will be called XBOX Series X and will drop for the 2020 holiday season. The trailer shows off a controller that is basically the same as the current one for XBOX One but the console itself has an odd square shape.

  • Yeah,it’s horizontal.
  • The controller is sort of new and has some added specs to it like grabbing screen shots of gameplay.
  • It will suport 4k visual graphics, with a possibility of even 8k.
  • The device “next-generation SSD will virtually eliminate load times.”.If you are impatient, that’s great.
  • It’s backwards compatible! This means you will be able to play all your old Xbox games and it will obviously have Xbox game pass as well.

Google Trends are one of the most efficient ways to track buzz-worthy stories throughout the year and now, thanks to Google, the biggest stories of the year are in one organized place. It’s easy to track what stars made the biggest impact on the year, like Jussie Smollett, Antonio Brown, and Game of Thrones. Simply put, crazy wins.

Other stories include the rise of Old Town Road, the untimely death of Nipsey Hussle, and Lori Loughlin and the college admissions scandal.

We assume by the end of next year, Brian, Ali, and Justin will be the top Google search worldwide. That’s our hope, at least.

The naughtiest Christmas lights of the season

You’d think that during the time of the year that Santa is making his list and checking it twice, you’d be on your best behavior. A woman in Kansas seems to have a different idea, however. 24-year-old Shelby Gash has decided to light up her neighborhood in the biggest way possible.

Yes, those lights are what you think they are. This is rude, this is crude, and this is…so hilarious.

People in the neighborhood are upset that the lighting could upset little kids, but that’s a risk that Gash is willing to take. These are certainly the most exciting lights of the season.
