The birds and the bees talk is tough for every parent, that’s why Hilton’s Double Tree hotels are now offering free sexual education events for kids in their hotels!
No, that’s not true, but it was for these unlucky parents who just wanted to take a nice family vacation.
That’s right, a gosh darn swingers convention was happening at their hotel!
Obviously, this was not ideal for the parents, but in the long run it does save them an awkward conversation.

A new study out of Emory University says dogs share a common neural mechanism that “allows their brain to process numbers of objects as humans do.” In essence, they can tell if you’re giving them more or fewer treats.

This series of AT&T commercials from 1993 attempted to predict the future of technology — and for the most part, nailed it.
Open-road tolling? (Check.)
Streaming entertainment on-demand? (Yup.)
Sending a fax from the beach? (Eh….it’s not called a fax anymore.)
Video calls from a phone booth. (Why?!?)
Were they able to do this because R&D labs were working decades ahead? Was this a way for AT&T to test how new products would be received by the public? Will we ever be able to film something about the future that won’t look so terribly retro years later? Is this the greatest voice-over work done by Magnum P.I. or what?

It’s a simple guitar riff that lit a fuse that truly changed the world. Nirvana’s ‘Smells like a Teen Spirit’ literally changed music in general, forcing 90’s America to shed the indulgence and shallowness of the 80’s for gritty emotional introspection with one brilliant alternative punky song. As the generations have changed and alternative music has evolved, the song which kicked off the band’s epic ‘Nevermind’ album has achieved a special milestone on YouTube having crossed the 1 billion stream mark this week. It is also the second most streamed 1990s video on the platform.

There is a lot of TV we all watch that is not redeeming or rewarding in any artistic way. We are simply hooked by the concept, and it’s likely a reality show that has that hook. Enter the much-maligned 2007 reality trash heap that was ‘Kid Nation’. 40 kids of middle school age sent to a deserted town to run it with all of these odd stipulations, scenes of crying, and ‘why is this happening?’ moments.
Funny or Die made this very funny retrospective of why it may be the worst reality show ever made.

They also show the significant money saved by using LEDs — which would leave you a lot of cash leftover for a dose of super-spiked eggnog. — [eric]
