The race of the century!
The race of the century!
It is crazy to see how much the city has changed since the ’30s
Shout out to these awesome construction workers who recreated this photo!
The highlight of a dogs life is… well every time they get to be around their human.
Extra points if their human wants to play!
But sometimes things get out of control.
Look at how sad he got when he smashed the table 🙁 it’s ok buddy!
Why do they have a camera always recording their living room?
Also, totally their fault for having a glass table.

Law makers have proposed a bill that would make it so you can no longer pump your own gas next year.
That’s right, like some other states, Illinois is thinking about bringing back gas station attendants.
There are both pros and cons about this situation
Pros
Cons
If the bill is put into action, gas attendants could be mandatory as early as next year.
The annual barrage of cookie goodness is on with the Girl Scouts but this year with legal recreational weed on sale at pot dispensaries, they have found a new market: the munchies. Yes, you can add this to your edibles for the day.
They were set up outside of Dispensary 33 in Uptown, all bundled up for those looking to bud up, and for their efforts they became a hit with customers and on social media with many people applauding their on-point snack delivery.
Now let the debate begin about what’s the best Girl Scout cookie.
Just announced! RATM plays the United Center on May 19 and Alpine on July 10 as part of a seven-month reunion tour!
Details here.
Tickets will be sold through the band’s website; details to come.
We got a modern day Annie Oakley among us.
He can smoke, dance, and wave a gun around at the same time.
Did you see how fast mom busts in to whoop his ass!?!
That was lightning speed; she’s faster than most wifi!
Put your guns away on the timeline boys and girls!!
This is Zeus.
His owners were tired of convincing people that he is a demanding boy.
GET MY MANS SOME WATER PLEASE!!!
Some would call this Husky a drama queen.
I personally think he just isn’t afraid to say what he wants.
13/10 great job Zeus!
Twiggy the water skiing squirrel might be the GOAT of water sports.
But that doesn’t stop Johnny Law from trying to stop him from performing.
She was skiing at the Vancouver boat show, entertaining the masses with her amazing skills and promoting water safety.
Here’s the thing though, it’s been illegal for squirrels to water ski in Vancouver for over 40 years!
It sounds weird but it is true.
Many other animals are allowed to, including other rodents like hamsters and Guinea pigs, but not Squirrels.
So now Twiggy is on the run.
I say we welcome her with open arms in Chicago as a safe haven.
LET TWIGGY SKI IT’S HE PASSION!!!

Football is not over even though the Super Bowl is in the books. This weekend ESPN, FOX, and ABC all broadcasted games from the revived alternative in pro football, XFL which is heavily funded by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon’s new separate company Alpha Entertainment, The debut games garnered a lot of attention from viewers yesterday with four of the top ten trending topics on Twitter being related to the games that featured the Los Angeles Wildcats, Houston Roughnecks, Seattle Dragons, and D.C. Defenders. Overall the response online was positive with football fans feeling it delivered on it’s promise of being something different but legit.
So it will last longer than the last time we saw the XFL in 2001 when it lasted just one season amid bad reception from sports media analysts and more? Only time will tell. Unfortunately the new XFL does not have a Chicago team this time around. Sorry Enforcer fans, maybe sometime in the future right?
The new league seems streamlined with a fresh takes on rules and presentation on the sport with changes to the kickoff, extra points, and much more. Here are the highlights of the two first games.
Green Day premiered their new album ON AIR on 101WKQX this past Thursday right before the world got to stream it at midnight, so here it is in all of the jump up and down power-pop-in-your-face hook-you-in-the-mouth glory. At a brisk 26 minutes, it flies by with fun smart-ass butt-moving groove while retaining the Oakland trio still delivering all of the goods with some vibes that will remind you of some influences outside of their expectant radar like Arctic Monkeys, 80’s new wave, and even a sample of fellow Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famer Joan Jett. The album dropped this past Friday. It’s available on all major streaming platforms including YouTube where you can stream it above.

Tyler Joseph and wife Jenna are expecting their first spawn….like, any moment now. So, Tyler asked the fans for a favor:
to my fellow professional photo editors:
as my wife and i wait for our first child, i would like your help to show us what we should expect while still expecting.
i need some tasteful creations including half of my facial features and half of jenna’s.

Netflix is introducing a new change for those of that don’t enjoy getting caught off-guard by unnecessary blast of noise. The Verge reported this week that the streaming service will soon let you turn off the ‘auto play’ feature that springs previews of shows and movies as you scroll over them with your remote. It’s odd how some of the near endless options on Netflix have trailer springing on while you are shifting through the menus, and then others don’t. This new change seeks to get rid of the nuisance while we are doing a binge on shows about British cupcakes and true crime documentaries.

The latest trailer for “The Invisible Man” movie came out today, and it’s a blood pressure-raiser.
The thrill you get while watching the Super Bowl is beat by almost nothing.
But no one talks about the depression that sets in right after the game when you realize… there’s no more football.
WELL GUESS WHAT, THERE IS FOOTBALL THIS SATURDAY!
Will the XFL last long? Probably not, but who cares!
We have football this weekend!!!
The government finally does something right!
The Illinois government says that they are no longer going to give you a ticket from a red light camera.
Chicago neighborhoods can still contract private debt collectors if they want to get that sweet sweet red light camera money.
But the important thing is, Illinois wont.
Drive fast and take chances everybody.
