A lot of people were upset when they found out that their spring break plans were probably ruined once the COVID-19 pandemic started.
Hopefully most understood that there was nothing to be done and just stayed home, while other dummies could not miss their opportunity to lay on a beach and get sand in unsavory places.
Here is some data on the impact that one spring break gathering could have on the spreading of the virus, and it is scary.
The beach isn’t going anywhere, for now just STAY HOME!!!
Watch some Netflix or something, it’s pretty great!
CBS 2 reported last night that Chicago-based Abbott Lab has developed what the Food & Drug Administration calls a “game changer” in the fight against Coronavirus, a 5 minute test that can detect the virus and can be used at home. It will utilize the company’s ID NOW platform which is the size of something you would have on your kitchen counter and is used in urgent care clinics. It can produce a positive result in 5 minutes, and negative result in 13 minutes. This new test will start to be available next week. The company expects to produce 5 million tests per month.
The company shows off the how fast the device works and how it could help prevent further transmission in the video below.

Joe Exotic, the star of the popular documentary ‘ Tiger king’ is seeking $94 million dollars in a suit claiming that a huge conspiracy led to his incarceration snd to the death of his mother.
If you haven’t watched ‘Tiger King’ yet… what’s wrong with you, but also stop reading this because spoilers.
Joe Exotic is claiming that he was falsely arrested and imprisoned, and the victim of malicious prosecution and discrimination.
He is suing suing the U.S. Department of Interior and the U.S. Federal Wildlife Service for placing the “generic tiger” on the endangered species list, which he says was a direct target at his business and led to the closing of his beloved park. He also claims that because he was a gay man with the worlds largest generic tiger and cross bred tiger collection he was targeted as well.
He wants $78,840,000 for the loss of his personal property and 18 years’ worth of his work with tigers for this.
He is also going after his former business partner Jeff Lowe, and it looks like the Feds are actually already trying to put some evidence together to nab him as well.
Finally he is seeking $15 million because the collective pain and anguish of the whole criminal pursuit after Joe led to his mothers death, in his words.
Oh i am so excited for the update to this documentary! It is going to be SO GOOD!!!
WLS-AM is reporting today on the world’s biggest online retailer cracking down during the current crisis.
When Amazon officials warned against price gouging during the coronavirus pandemic, clearly they were serious. The online retailer on Tuesday announced it has given the heave-ho to nearly 4,000 offending sellers.
“Amazon strictly prohibits sellers from exploiting an emergency by charging excessively high prices on products and shipping,” Amazon officials said in a statement announcing the account suspensions. “We have deployed a dedicated team that’s working continuously to identify and investigate unfairly priced products that are now in high demand, such as protective masks and hand sanitizer.”
Being booted from Amazon could be the least of the sellers’ worries. Company officials say they’re “proactively sharing information” with law enforcement authorities to expose “sellers we suspect have engaged in egregious price gouging of products related to the COVID-19 crisis.”
CBS 2 reported on local stores that have received price-gouging complaints.
Kate McKinnon has played many roles on her years on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and has been able to fully dive into her roles but her next role is going to be a pretty wild one. McKinnon is set to produce an adaption of the show into a scripted series where she will also play Carol Baskin. If the scripted version is nearly as a good as this real life doc, it’s going to be amazing.
With everyone spending more time at home due to quarantines, the docuseries about the crazed Joe Exotic, his hippie nemesis Baskin, and weird world of exotic animal owners has blown up in the past week so the real life story has already garnered the call of an adaption into a series. If you have not seen it, it’s a must see! Collider broke it down in this extensive review.
If anyone is up for the role of Joe Exotic, may we suggest our very own Justin from the KQX Morning Crew.
