If you go to the love line guy for all of your medical advice then there is something wrong with you.
However, Dr Drew Pinsky is a licensed and practicing medical doctor who has a lot of influence. So when he says something people definitely are going to take it to heart.
So when he underestimated the impact of COVID-19, he found it important to come out and say that he was wrong.

He did always say listen to the CDC and WHO, which is very responsible.
But it is nice to see someone take responsibility for their actions.
Not even COVID-19 can stop the WWE from putting on Wrestlemania.
Even if that means they have to do it without a crowd.

It’s cool to see that they were still able to put on a show, even without thousands of fans cheering them on.
it kind of reminds me of being a kid pretending to be in a WWE match with your friends.
No one is there cheering you on, it’s all about just having some fun.
With everyone inside, animals seem to have come out and made themselves comfortable in the streets.
First it was a town in the UK that was overrun by mountain goats
Now squirrels are taking over Santa Monica.
Even here in Chicago, those damn coyotes are getting super cocky.

Oh these animals better remember who is top dog around these parts.
Thanks for keeping the streets warm and all for us, but don’t get too comfortable now animals.
Although, it would be super interesting if we had to start worrying about fighting off random coyotes on the streets after this…
Tiger King continues to the be trashy topic we all can’t get away from in our collective quarantine lives. Joe Exotic (played by Reno 911’s Thomas Lennon) joined Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, and it reheated the ridiculous over-the-top zoo keeper who became a hit with the Netflix docuseries.
Many different entertainment outlets are releasing free content for our restless minds in these uncertain times, and now Marvel is getting in on the trend by releasing 12 comic titles for free online. These comics are available through the Marvel Unlimited app and the Comixology app. These are available on IOS and Android app.
LifeHacker turned us on to this and here is a link to get on the digital comic fun.
Love all the stories about people stepping up to help in the face of this pandemic. We can add Fall Out Boy to the list.
The band’s Fall Out Boy Fund is donating $100,000 to the Chicago Coronavirus Response Fund. According to NBC Chicago, the fund “is a partnership between the City of Chicago and United Way of Metro Chicago to deploy resources to agencies that can help individuals and families impacted by the coronavirus across the Chicago region.”
Thanks for stepping up, guys. Here’s hoping we get to see you in August at Wrigley. — [eric]

Bands doing live streaming shows is something we are all seeing. Other have taken this time to release feel-good cover songs, and then some are recording these in remote locations. That all played out with Yungblud and Machine Gun Kelly who collaborated on this on-point cover of Oasis ‘Champagne Supernova’.
You can imagine a day when we can all get back together at kareoke night we took for granted a few months ago, drinking beers, and siginging this to the ceiling. We will get there.
A few weeks back, YungBluud brouht his larger-than-life character and must-be-heard music to a live streaming variety talk show which also featured beloved weirdo Oliver Tree.
“Black Widow” was supposed to come out next month, but COVID-19 took it out faster than a Thanos snap.
Because of the pandemic, Disney’s had to do some release date shuffling, with the new plan for Black Widow to hit theaters on November 6.
Marvel already had a hold on the date for the *next* Marvel movie, “Eternals.” Because of the Black Widow move, Eternals got bumped to next year… into the spot previously held by the Marvel movie after it, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” And so it goes, through the remainder of Marvel’s announced schedule. The shuffling wraps up with “Thor: Love and Thunder,” now set for release on 2/28/22.
Justin moved the day before the quarantine started and threw away his coffee pot. Now he is forced to face the world and the chaos of 7-eleven.
They have been less than inviting however.
Now that is customer service!
Did Justin ever get his coffee? The world will never know.
Amazon workers are beginning to walk out on their jobs due to concerns for their health inside their distribution centers.
Some workers are upset that the company decides to keep the distribution centers open to sell non essential items to people, putting the workers at risk of contracting COVID-19.
Maybe he has a point here…
Let’s be mindful when ordering things online right now.
Reese Witherspoon owns a fashion company called Draper James, they have decided that teachers deserve a huge thank you so they are giving out free dresses!
This is awesome!
Nice move Reese Witherspoon.

It feels like every day something new in the world of Tiger King happens.
Today Joe Exotics husband says that Joe is in isolation for coronavirus inside prison.
Joe is currently serving a 22 year sentence for his part in a murder for hire scandal.
Dang, this guy cant catch a break…
If you are comedian, you want to be on the ‘Tonight Show’. It’s a fact like water being wet, fire being hot, and Chicago having the best pizza in the world. It’s still a lofty goal to attain, and getting there is the creative equivalent of getting to Mars. Well, I didn’t get on ‘the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ but I got on a piece of paper that got on the ‘Tonight Show’. If you need to know where to watch, scroll to 7:22.
My thanks to Jimmy Fallon, his team, and his wonderful wife who is doubling as his cameraman. Fallon is entertaining for the quarantined people who are pent up and need a laugh. Everyone at 101WKQX is trying to do the same on air, on our social media, and anywhere else we can.
In the past, I have enjoyed blending the heart-warming holiday humor of Home Alone with my KQX family. Check out my ‘Kevin Alone’ sketches from the past few years.
Stay home (listen to us if you are alone) and be safe.
101WKQX: Kevin is Home Alone?!
Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals! Just like the movie #HomeAlone, Kevin (me) wished everyone away because they ate his pizza, now he's up to no good! Spread the fun by sharing it! -Kevin

Ed Farmer the longtime broadcast voice for the Chicago White Sox has passed away at 70. Farmer spent 11 years in MLB, which included three seasons on the mound with the White Sox. He would join the Sox broadcast team in 1992.
Farmer grew up on the south side in Evergreen Park, and attended St. Rita where he played baseball as a tall 6’5. Farmer grew up with genetic kidney disorder which affected him during his pro baseball career, and he would eventually need a kidney transplant by his brother. He also overcame a speech disorder as a child.
The Chicago Tribune wrote a wonderful piece covering Farmer’s life in and out of baseball with some touching stories of his career including how he broke an opposing batter’s jaw with a pitch. Read that here.
The St. Rita Baseball Program would like to pass along our sincere condolences to the family of St. Rita legend Ed Farmer on his passing last night. RIP Farmio and thank you for your contributions to St. Rita and Chicago White Sox baseball! #SRBaseball

A lot of parents, myself included, have recently added another title to their repertoire: teacher.
With the likelihood that schools will remain closed through the end of the school year, families and educators are facing an unprecedented challenge to educate and entertain kids and maintain social connection, and to make sure that all students have access to online learning and engagement. Wide Open School aims to make learning from home an experience that is accessible to all and that truly engages kids and teachers, relieves family stress, and restores community in the face of long-term school closures and other shutdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Wide Open School Partners Include American Federation of Teachers, Amplify, Apple, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Comcast, Google, Head Start, Khan Academy, National Geographic, Noggin, PBS, Salesforce, Scholastic, Sesame Workshop, Time for Kids, YouTube, XQ Institute, and Zoom Video Communications, Inc.
With tools like a daily schedule, exercises, live events, “field trips,” and of course math, reading and writing, science, social studies, art, music, life skills, emotional well-being and even special needs programs, this free resource is priceless.
Check it out!
stay safe <3 Lauren
Warning… this may not be everybody’s cup of tea in the midst of a pandemic. However, as horror streaming service Shudder posts record sign-up numbers, there seems to be an increased appetite for horror diversions like this.
“Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula” dropped a teaser trailer, and it looks fantastic. The original “Train to Busan” stands as one of the best modern zombie movies (and is available on Netflix). This sequel, set years after the original, looks really promising. No release date yet… but you expected that.
Tough news this morning…
We mourn the death of Ed Farmer who passed away Wednesday night.

I think we all agreed to kind of skip April Fools this year because of the whole virus thing, but Lou Malnati’s couldn’t help themselves.
So they went out and ‘pranked’ a bunch of people by leaving them free pizza on their doorstep.
They called it deep dish ding dong dish.
This is awesome!
Why didn’t I get deep dish ding dong ditched though 🙁
Good on you Lou Malnati’s!
