Rooftops back in business for Cubs games

When baseball returns to Wrigley, the rooftops around the park will be open, though at 25% capacity. The Chicago Tribune quoted the GM of a rooftop venue as saying the city has greenlit operations, but with safety restrictions in place.

Mayor Lightfoot said in a statement, “As the rooftop patios overlooking Wrigley Field are also restaurants and taverns, they are included in this overarching guidance and must operate within the guidelines established by the city in coordination with public health guidance.”

Rooftop tickets will likely go on sale once the Cubs schedule is released, which is expected soon. The Ricketts family owns the majority of the area rooftops.

Upcoming ‘Falcon & Winter Soldier’ series on Disney+ looks great

Disney+ continues to make waves in streaming TV and now more details have been revealed about one of their anticipated Marvel series on with Anthony Mackie, who has long played Falcon in the MCU saying the upcoming ‘Falcon & Winter Soldier’ series is going for a movie-level vibe. The series will debut in August.

“We’re shooting it exactly like a movie,” he said in Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’. “Everybody who had worked on TV before was like, ‘I’ve never worked on a TV show like this.’ The way in which we were shooting, it feels exactly like we were shooting the movie cut up into the show. So instead of a two-hour movie, a six or eight-hour movie.”

Now that’s what I am talking about! There have been plenty of good Marvel series on Netflix but as they make the jump to their new platform with Disney, it’s  relief to hear the new wave of shows could meet the lofty expectations that the MCU has created now on the small screen.

You can watch Mackie’s chat with Daveed Diggs who stars in TNT’s ‘Snowpiercer’ here.
