Do you ever have one of those days?
You know, the type of day where you slip on camera not once, but twice!
He needs to just go home and start the whole day back over again. A mulligan.

It’s Halloween week, so that makes it a good time to check in on an old classic question: So really, do you believe in ghosts? According to the latest numbers, only 20% of Americans say they definitely don’t exist. And 19% of people say ghosts probably don’t exist.
20% say they definitely DO exist, and 25% say they probably exist. So that’s 45% of people who more or less believe in ghosts.
And finally, 16% of people say they “don’t know” if ghosts exist. What a coward’s answer. I hope the ghosts haunt those people first.
The survey also found 50% of people say DEMONS definitely or probably exist, so people are slightly more likely to believe in demons than ghosts. (YouGov / YouGov)
Consequence of Sound reported this weekend that alternative legends Smashing Pumpkins will record a sequel to the beloved ‘Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness’ and ‘Machina’. Billy Corgan confirmed the 33-song sequel which was originally intended to be a part of a worldwide arena tour that has been delayed due to the pandemic. This past week marks the 25th anniversary of ‘Mellon Collie’ which featured classics like ‘Bullet with Butterfly Wings’, ‘1979’, and ‘Tonight, Tonight’. It went on to sell 5 million copies in the United States alone. Corgan formally announced the big project in a video you can watch below.
Pumpkins are not simply celebrating their past, but also forging new audible adventures with Corgan working again with guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin along Jeff Schroeder whose been with the group since 2007. Their latest album ‘CYR’ will be released on November 27th.
101WKQX’s Jon Manley and James Vanosdol were proud to talk to one of the biggest alternative bands to ever come out of Chicago on two recent episodes of our new podcast, History of Alternative. In part 1 episode Billy talks about how the band put their artistic vision ahead of commercial concerns, how some people tried to talk him out of releasing ‘Melon Collie’ as a double record, and more. In part two, Iha and Chamberlin dig even deeper with how the band’s legacy endured beyond their break-up in 2000 and they have evolved since getting back together.
With movie theaters struggling to get people to come out to a theater amid the pandemic, now streaming video platforms with a lot of money behind them are stepping into the game to possibly purchase the rights to get big blockbusters as streaming exclusives. Enter the global spy franchise James Bond with its delayed film ‘No Time To Die’ which is reportedly being in talks recently with big streamers Netflix, Apple, and Amazon. The news was widely reported that the film which could likely be the last to feature megastar Daniel Craigh portraying the Bond role. Now the film has been pushed back again for a April 2021 release and studio representatives have issued statements confirming the traditional release next year.
The reported price according to Variety was in the area of $600 million. Yeah, that is a lot of money but considering how well-known the Bond series is and the possibility of the film luring in or retaining subscribers to one of the streaming platforms, it makes some sense. MGM, the studio behind the Bond films has spent millions already on marketing on ‘No Time To Die’ which has been delayed twice in 2020. Read the full story from Variety.

Goat yoga is one of those weird exercise fads that sounds like so much fun.
That is until you remember that goats are farm animals and will just pee wherever they want…
You don’t know though, maybe the goat urine is part of the experience!
Fight night has come and passed for Khabib Nurmagomedov.
And this time, forever, at least that’s what he said after his win overJustin Gaethje in UFC 254 on fight island.
Khabib went a perfect 29-0 in his career, winning 13 of his fights in the UFC.
Does this last win give him the official GOAT status? Is this actually the last time we’ll see Khabib in the octagon?
Only time can tell.

Would you wear a bubble so you could go back out in public and be completely safe from COVID-19?
I mean, you would look ridiculous. I can not lie to you about that.
There really is no way to make this look cool.
You could always just wear your mask!
It’s always nice to see when celebrities can joke about themselves. It makes them seem like they’re human again.
Plus I bet it’s not super hard to joke about how good you look after losing weight!
She really does look so good! And let’s be honest, she had an awesome opening monologue.
Who do you think has had the best SNL monologue so far this season though?
The bond between child and parent is so special.
That is, until it’s not. Like showering with your kid after they can legally vote for instance.
GROSS!
This is just way too much.

Ladies & gentlemen, I present to you McBroken: an website dedicated to telling you if the ice cream machine at your area McDonald’s restaurant is broken or running.
This is the money quote from the “how and why” Ars Technica article:
“I reverse-engineered McDonald’s internal ordering API,” he explained when he launched the tool, “and I’m currently placing an order worth $18,752 every minute at every McDonald’s in the US to figure out which locations have a broken ice cream machine.“

Flat-screen TVs reached the mainstream in the late nineties. Ditto for HD television. And voice-activated personal assistants that could dim lights, draw blinds, and make phone calls really didn’t hit the big time until a few years ago.
But this 1989 episode of the home improvement show “This Old House” almost perfectly predicts the future years before these things came into our lives — including having to ask Alexa twice to do something. (It’s almost too perfect…🤔)
Perhaps it’s the fact that these technologies were around for DECADES before coming to consumers that made these predictions possible. Or — just maybe — someone had a functioning DeLorean time machine to help. I like to think it was option two. — [eric]
I love Royal Blood. Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher are a match made in rock and roll heaven. I hear we are going to get a third album from the duo in the spring amid covid-related delays and if this first song is any indication, it is going to be badass.
I hear Trouble’s Coming. <3 Lauren

It was considered one of the funniest movies of the 2000’s when the innovative Sascha Baron Cohen took on a deranged character coming to America for the first time with a lot of pranks, unaware supporting cast, and extreme satircal cringe humor. Now 14 years later, the anticipation is high for the sequel, especially with news this week that the film will feature former New York City Mayor Rudy Giulani being roped into a “compromising situation”. As the film hits Amazon Prime today, does it deliver? Here are some reviews of the film which is currently holding a certified fresh Rotten Tomatoes score of 91%.
Dan Murrel details how impressive it was to keep the film under wraps when everyone knows who Borat is now.
Grace Randolph had a mixed review but she adored the ending and the film’s surprising heart-warming moments.
IGN loved it, giving it a 9 out of 10.
