The Foo Fighters are building to the February 5th release of their tenth album ‘Medicine At Midnight’ with a new visually-striking video for the fresh song ‘Shame Shame’. The video filmed in black and white, features singer Dave Grohl being haunted by the creeptacular dancing of actress Sofia Boutella who lurches around him and on him like a ghost you can’t shake, and then Grohl digs his own grave. He does not use a shovel, but his guitar! Throw in lightning hitting a casket and bursting it into flames. There is just a lot going on here. The video is inspired by a reoccurring dream that Grohl has had since he was a child.
The Foos will perform a streaming concert from the famed Roxy in Los Angeles on Friday, November 13th according to Consequence of Sound. The show will air at 7pm CST. Tickets are $15, and if you buy it, you will have the stream for 48 hours after the concert begins. Get your ticket here.
Here is Grohl talking about the fun the band had recording ‘Medicine At Midnight’ with creative isolation in a house. It’s worth noting that the album was recorded before the pandemic started.
Since the 1920’s, the Hardy Boys have been youthful detectives solving puzzling mysteries in novels, comic books, and TV shows. The latest adaption for a series on Hulu weaves in the brother’s mother passing on and a move to Bridgeport, Connecticut with a group of friends help solve the case. The look and feel remind us a bit of ‘Stranger Things’ on Netflix with a throwback to maybe the 70’s or 80’s and just like that show, it sees young adults on the adventure. The 13 episode series debuts on December 4th.

Plant, Lettuce, Tomato… Are they calling the patty plant?
That doesn’t look like a plant to me!
Do you have juice or sauce?
There is a big difference between the two.

The 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees were honored with a special 130-minute tribute that aired Saturday night on HBO.
Dave Grohl opened the virtual show: “The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It’s not just a place, it’s an idea. It holds the stories, the images, the sights and the sounds of decades and decades of music. The story of rock ‘n’ roll is really many stories. It’s the story of pain and beauty. The story of rebellion and unit.”

It’s time for your weekly Chicago Police Scanner Weekend Roundup.
This is where we go over some of our favorite calls that went out over the CPD scanner’s airwaves.
Here is what we heard:
Friday 9:58pm – 4200 N Broadway – Woman complaining that man selling hot dogs out of his pocket caused her to throw up just watching it
I know there has to be some kind of wire or pole or something holding this guy up, but how!?!?!
You know what, maybe there are just magic shopping carts now. It’s 2020 anything is possible.
These bears have to be the worst customers in the world!
Maybe they should put up a sign that says you must pay for all items. I’m sure the bears would respect that.
We lost the legend Alex Trebek on Sunday, and we are all absolutely heart broken.
But as sad as we are, it’s only right to look back on all of the great times that Alex Trebek brought us all on Jeopardy.
Here’s to you Alex!
No one will ever be able to do it like he could.
Did you miss SNL on Saturday?
You should go back and watch it because Dave Chappelle killed it at hosting.
He was so good that he had Pete Davidson spitting his teeth out!

You know it’s a good sketch when the people in it can’t stop laughing!
A Brazilian man was supposed to marry the love of his life, or so he thought, in October.
Turns out that they could not stand each other, so they called it quits. But instead of canceling a perfectly good wedding, this guy decided to marry himself!
I’m pro this. There is no one else you know better, you can always rely on yourself, and you can’t leave yourself!
More people should consider marrying themselves.

As we have been expecting for a few days now since we became aware of the gorilla marketing in LA, the Foo Fighters debuted a brand new song on last night’s momentous Saturday Night Live on NBC. The track is called ‘Shame Shame’ and it has some very groove-oriented parts at a slower yet methodical pace. As for the lyrics, I can interpret as an inner-dialogue of longing for someone or something.
The Foos confirmed through this big performance it is the first single from their upcoming new album, ‘Medicine At Midnight’ which comes out February 5th. You can stream the SNL performance and the album version here. In the clip above, Dave Grohl shares in the video clip above that the new album will have a very fun vibe to it because they had so much fun recording it.
Here is the audio version that was released today.
In an emotional second performance on SNL last night, this band reminded you again why they are just so special with ‘Times Like These’ It featured an opening build with an undercurrent of an organ from Rami Jaffee simmered underneath Grohl with those raise-the-hair-on-your-arms lyrics. The simplicity of this reinvented take on this modern classic is just wonderful. The whole song is about reinvention and re-discovering who you are, and the song feels really exciting here.
Alligator Robb did so much for Chicago by capturing and relocating “Chance The Snapper” from Humboldt Park. Now it’s Chicago’s turn to help him: he’s in need of financial support to undergo heart surgery. More from Chicago Block Club. — [eric]
