This might be the funniest thing you hear all day.
Just imagine that you clogged your significant other’s toilet. What do you think you would do?

Nobody wants a dirty toupee!
It could give away the secret that your hair isn’t your hair!
There’s no shame in having one, they look great! But you have to make sure you maintain it!

It seemed like a fantasy when Jake Paul suggested that he was going to take on Conor McGregor in the ring after taking down Nate Rabinson, but now it seems like this fight might actually happen!
Conor McGregor says he is down to fight as long as his price is met by Paul’s camp.

If you were on Twitter this weekend then you definitely heard about “Bean Dad”.
Bean Dad, who is actually named John Roderick, went on Twitter this past weekend to boast about how he bullied his 9-year-old daughter because she didn’t know how to use a can opener.
If you haven’t read this Twitter thread yet, you have to. It will kind of infuriate you at the cockiness of this guy.
So, yesterday my daughter (9) was hungry and I was doing a jigsaw puzzle so I said over my shoulder “make some baked beans.” She said, “How?” like all kids do when they want YOU to do it, so I said, “Open a can and put it in pot.” She brought me the can and said “Open it how?”
— john roderick (@johnroderick) January 2, 2021
Of course everyone took their shots at them, including actual teachers who had some good teaching strategies for the seemingly happy bean dad.
Teacher here.
1. Kids learn best when they aren’t hungry.
2. Everyone learns differently and different approaches (eg. A guiding hand) are helpful, especially if/when someone’s struggling.
3. When a child is frustrated to the point of tears, you’ve lost your teachable moment.
— Apoxon (@apoxon) January 3, 2021
And of course everyone with a wifi connection went back and checked all of his tweets to find his controversial tweets. People called him out for racism, homophobia, and anti-semitism.
Roderick quickly deleted his Twitter account after this.
Funny enough, Jeopardy star Ken Jennings has a podcast with Bean Dad! Jennings came to Roderick’s aide.
If this reassures anyone, I personally know John to be (a) a loving and attentive dad who (b) tells heightened-for-effect stories about his own irascibility on like ten podcasts a week. This site is so dumb.

What a weird world we live in.
So if you didn’t know about Bean Dad…
Now you do! Congrats!!

No one likes working, especially on New Year’s Eve.
So can you blame Andy Cohen for throwing back a few before the ball dropped?

He was just having some fun! The perfect way to get out of that terrible excuse of a year.
Give the guy a break!
MMA, boxing, football, hockey… What’s the toughest sport out there?
The answer is none of them.
Because apparently a sport out there called ear pulling and it might be the gnarliest sport known to man.

The pain that these athletes have to ignore is unknown! How can they do that!
Also this should be included in the Olympics right?
Eating icicles seems like a yearly winter tradition right?
Well you should cut that tradition out of your life today!
Take this meteorologist’s word for it…
So there you have it. Icicles are full of bird poop from your roof.
So stop munching on them!
There are stories that seem so impossible that they can’t be true right?
Wrong! There are some crazy stories that seem to destroy any idea of odds.
From long lost twins who seemingly lived the exact same life, to a guy who won the lottery twice.
Never tell these people the odds!
Check out all of the stories here.
You know how when you ask a kid what they want to be when they grow up they sometimes say something like a superhero, or their favorite cartoon character…
Well, this lady actually did that!
She has based her entire life around the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and honestly that rocks.

Bishop Briggs got on Twitter yesterday to ask for help in her sister Kate’s battle with cancer:
Here’s a link to the GoFund Me….if you could help out with any information as well, share with her on Twitter.
Post Malone brought out the big guns for his “Bud Light Seltzer Sessions” on New Year’s Eve. The encore was AMAZING! He brought out Chad Smith and Chris Chaney joined for a rousing cover of Alice in Chains’ “Rooster”. Posty showed off some impressive rock pipes as he channeled a bit of Layne Staley while delivering an emotionally charged rendition of a classic. It was AWESOME!
Make no mistake about, the new Foo Fighters track is all about the RAWK.

For as long as I’ve been on this radio station, I’ve been warning people that robots — are not our friends. (For proof, please watch the 1991 documentary film Terminator 2: Judgement Day and prepare to have your mind blown)
Now look. The latest development in the Boston Dynamics project is having robots casually dance and sway to a song called “The Humans Are Dead.” And while yes, Flight Of The Concords are amazing, this development is terrifying. I already can’t dance, and now I have to live up to the expectations set by a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, that resembles a human?

As we’re about to celebrate New Year’s Eve in a very different way this year, our fun hinges on what’s available to watch on the TV/computer. Why not make it a horror-themed New Year’s Eve? Here are a handful of horror flicks with new year’s themes or elements:
Rosemary’s Baby – One of the best horror movies ever made, and it still holds up decades later. The New Year’s Eve party shown here is a bad time that precedes many worse things to come.
The Shining – A picture labeled “4th of July 1921,” but appears to actually be a New Year’s Eve party pic, is important to the ending of “The Shining.” For what it’s worth, it is a NYE pic in Stephen King’s book.
New Year’s Evil – The most obvious choice, thanks to its (choose one: awesome, ridiculous, dumb) name. Fun slasher trash from 1980.
Terror Train – More 80s trash, released the same year as “New Year’s Evil.” This one’s a lot of fun. The premise: Fraternity and sorority students attend a New Year’s Eve costume party on a train. Jamie Lee Curtis is in it, and she’s awesome.
Angel Heart – New Year’s Eve is an important date in this classic psychological horror flick. Pro tip: Never make a deal with a guy named “Louis Cyphre.”
Would you like to get paid or compensated to do nothing? If you answered ‘yes’ then you should definitely look up Shoji Morimoto of Japan in this Oddity Central feature where he details giving up his publishing job for this odd service he offers. He shows up and telling people he will do nothing, all they have to do is cover his transportation and food or drinks but most people tend to give him more for his time. It must have caught on because he has over 270,000 followers on Twitter and inspired a TV show based on him called “People Who Do Not Rent“, which premiered in April 2020.
These companion oriented services have gained popularity to some degree in Japan where you can now have short-term rentals with dogs.
The Scottish alternative darling CHVRCHES has been inspired by youthful breakout Billie Eilish for the new music they currently working on for their follow-up to 2018’s ‘Love is Dead’.
Lauren Mayberry speaking with the Guardian, heaved praise on Eilish and the production of her album ‘Where Do We Go When We Fall Asleep?’.
“The vocal production on the Billie Eilish album is absolutely phenomenal – that is an advancement in pop music,” she said. “Iain [Cook] and Martin [Doherty] like to be across what is happening for production stuff. We want to be aware of it because there’s just awesome pop music and you can learn something from it. Learn the production tricks but don’t learn the other parts: I think that was the challenge of this [new] album.”
Now just imagine, Billie collaborating with CHVRCHES?! That would really blow our minds.
New music from CHVRCHES is due out in spring 2021.
