The next time you’re in charge of setting up a first date, just remember the advice that this generous woman who is surely on her way to sainthood has to say about what restaurant you pick.
Getting locked out of your house is bad enough, but then to be stuck in your house? That’s a fate worse than death. A Nevada teen was locked out of her own home, thus she decided to scale the roof and drop down through the ceiling Santa Claus-style. One problem, though, she lacks magical powers.
We have a lot of faith in the next generation, but not in this teen, specifically. This woman needs to reevaluate some life decisions.
Nick Herrmann was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor three years ago. Doctors told him he could lose his leg and that he would never ball again. About that…
HOLLYWOOD COULDN’T WRITE A STORY BETTER THAN THIS!!
In March 2021, Chicago began issuing warnings or real tickets to speeders who are traveling over 5mph over the speed limit in “Children’s Safety Zones”, near certain schools and parks. Tickets for anyone traveling over 10mph over the limit can reach up to $100. According to CBS 2, “citywide tickets went up from 35,784 in the five weeks before March 1 to 398,233 in the five weeks after. Those 398,000 tickets amounted to $871,035 in fines. Some of those tickets could have been first warnings that did not result in a fine owed.”
Be on the lookout and don’t get tricked by Chicago’s newest get-rich-quick-scheme.
As the summer concert season is officially back and in full swing, we take a long look at the history of the music festival. Joining us for insider knowledge and info is Andy Cirzan, VP of longtime Chicago concert and entertainment promoter Jam Productions.
The Emancipation Proclamation was signed on 1/1/1863, freeing all slaves in the United States of America. Union soldiers marched through southern states, reading the new declaration and announcing freedom for the enslaved, according to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
However, not all Black people were immediately free in Texas, as the state was still under Confederate control at the time of the signing. On June 19, 1865, about 2,000 Union troops marched into Texas, officially freeing all Black people from slavery. This significant date is known as Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom and equality, which our governor just made an official state holiday in Illinois. Why can’t Karen’s just mind their own business? This Karen thinks that she can control who takes what off the street. Odd, considering that this Karen probably belongs to the streets.
Let us know where you think this Karen is from on Facebook!
Before we get to the weirdness of this statistic, we have to get to the weirdness of the fact that there are people that track this statistic. Where do you report this information to? Who controls this information and what are they doing with it? Perhaps this is a sign that we’re collecting too much data.
Anyways, Chicago can’t catch a break when it comes to the headlines. Over the nearly 6,000 attacks on record by dogs against the Postal Service, 59 of them have come out of Chicago. That trails Houston, who clocked in at 73, but outranks Los Angeles and Denver when it comes to total attacks.
Fear not, folks in the suburbs, Illinois does not lead the country when it comes to the states with the most attacks. Those honors belong to California.
Open wide for some soccer! The Chicago Fire will be bringing the heat back to a 100% capacity Soldier Field starting on July 3 when they take on 2018 MLS Cup winners, Atlanta United FC.
The 100 and 200 levels of Soldier Field will be able to be sold to capacity, with about 28,000 fans able to attend the match.

Our boy D-Wreck is back and he’s getting busy. Last week, he talked about how he had a chance to hook up with someone for the first time since his divorce. Here’s what’s gone on since we last talked about him.
Let D-Wreck know what he should do over on our Facebook!
What is it with stepmoms always getting stuck under the couch? They are certainly the leading demographic when it comes to furniture-driven penetration. While this TikToker is not a stepmom (that we’re aware of), she was providing content for fans of the “stuck fetish” when she got all too stuck.
Wrigley Field houses just over 41,000 people at its max capacity. Some of those people are going to drive, others are going to take the Red Line, and many brave souls are going to take Divvy bikes to Wrigley. This is the result of Chicago reopening.
In fairness to our Northside friends, this is not even close to being the most vile pileup on the streets of Wrigleyville. They’d rather have this every weekend than the normal bodily fluids that are scattered all over that neighborhood.
We have to give it up for Ohio, they keep trying to be relevant. In an effort to prove that they are the quirkiest midwestern state, one pizzeria is now serving up “spicy cicada pizza” for people who truly have nothing else going on in their life.
Is this something you’d be down to try? Let us know on Facebook!
Yesterday we talked about Bad Neighbors, today we’re talking a brilliant neighbor. When his neighbors get too rowdy, this man bumps this from his Bluetooth Speaker.
A home on the North Side is celebrating Pride Month with a giant paintbrush declaring “love is love”. The home, near Paulina, has become a giant hit on social media due to its can’t-miss colors and incredible display of craftsmanship. Words on the front steps read “don’t be afraid to show your true colors.”
The Pride display has gone beyond a neighborhood destination and turned into a fundraiser to help prevent suicide among LGBTQ youth. Donations in the name of the home can be made to The Trevor Project here.
