This is the first time The Red Cross has declared a national blood crisis. According the American Red Cross they have “less than a one-day supply of critical blood types.” It’s the lowest it’s been in over a decade and doctors have been having to make difficult decisions. About 25% of blood needs aren’t being met in the average hospital. The shortage comes from many cancelled blood drives in 2020. They need all types of blood, but especially Type O.
If you’re a healthy person who can make a difference, check out their website on places around Chicago that you can go to give blood and maybe save a life in the process!

And let’s be real, you don’t want someone accidentally seeing what you looked up a week ago anyway.

In this TikTok, a cook shows how they communicate orders in a “marking system.” Line cooks share information with each other without having to talk; they just simply place certain items in certain ways on the plate. For example, a jelly at the bottom, flipped up with butter next to it means that person will get a biscuit and not toast. Cheese slices, napkins, and sprinkled hash browns are used too. Have you ever noticed that the waiter might look at the plates too? How did they remember who had the wheat toast? Maybe they didn’t! The Waffle House employee got some flack from some restaurant workers saying the system was difficult and unnecessary, but their system works for them! Pretty rad!
The wait is over! Coming to theatres February 14th, it’s Jackass Forever, the final… final of the movies. They can’t do this into their 60’s people. So watch the trailer and get excited. As always, do not try this at home, unless you have a video camera and want to be them someday. If you’re gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

We wish Matt Nagy the best of luck in his future endeavors.

A lot of people have been looking at their bills thinking it’s a mistake, but they’re correct. Here are some ways that you can try to save a little bit on your energy bill. First, try turning down your thermostat down just a little bit. A few degrees here and there can really add up in the long run. Also, turn it down more when you leave the house. A mom from Boston realized that she may not have as much time with her husband and daughter as she had hoped. She was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that had spread in June of 2020. Beth Davis wants one thing before she passes. She wants her daughter Molly to find the love of her life like she did. So Molly agreed to have her mom put her on a dating app called Wingman. It lets others in your life, friends, family, basically vouch for you and tell people why they should date you. The app turned into a full-blown ad in Times Square once founder Tina Wilson found out about Molly’s story. Molly’s mom is certain that when she finds the right one she will let her know, but as far as helping Molly pick, she trusts her daughter’s judgment.
You’re always hoping that no one is watching you at the gym. Am I running too slow? Am I using this machine right? The answer is ‘NO.’ Especially for this guy. Someone told him that this is the correct form to do a pull-up. The only thing he’s gaining here is embarrassment and 100% zero chance at getting anyone’s number from the gym after this!
