Pearl Jam recently performed at the Forum in Los Angeles, and it brought back some memories for Eddie Vedder. When he was 14, he bought tickets with his friend to see them. They drove up to LA from San Diego the day of the show and Vedder ended up in the parking lot. Watch the story below…

Linkin Park has praised their fanbase for inspiring them and in a recent Instagram post, have promised to start sharing more regularly. The band has been on hiatus since 2017 when lead singer, Chester Bennington passed away. The band wrote. “Your passion and dedication is the lifeblood of what we’ve built together with you. And it doesn’t go unnoticed.”
Rich Strike won the Kentucky Derby!
Rich Strike came up the rail gunning for an 80-1 upset in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. The horse was the second-biggest upset in the race’s 148-year history, paying $163.60 to win. He ran 1 1/4 miles in 2:02.61. While being escorted to the winner’s circle, he got a little feisty with another horse. Do horses act like this all the time? Was he juicing?! Was he just celebrating like young, excited horses do?
Pearl Jam paid tribute to the late Taylor Hawkins
During Pearl Jam’s concert the Forum last week, they did a live cover of a Foo Fighters song called “A Cold Day In The Sun.” It was from the In Your Honor album and featured Taylor’s vocals on the track. “He never wasted a moment,” they said before kicking it off. Watch below!

The Orange Garden “Chop Suey” neon has stood over Irving Park Rd. for decades — and after announcing the restaurant was being sold, the Smashing Pumpkins frontman will preserve the sign in his Highland Park tea shop.

Man living at O’Hare for three months adds to airport’s weird & wild history
This morning, a man changed his mind about flying at the wrong time.
He opened the door and slid down the wing of a moving aircraft at around 4:30AM this morning at O’Hare International Airport. Some video here from NBC Chicago…

He was afraid to fly because of COVID-19. So, he decided to live at the airport for three months and live off the good will of strangers. Makes sense.
The Case Of The “Serial Stowaway,” Marilyn Hartman
The Chicago woman has tried or succeeded over 20 times to slip on to flights undetected, due to a fear of being targeted by a worldwide conspiracy. She succeeded in boarding a flight from O’Hare to London back in 2018 and is currently in Cook County Jail after attempting a similar stunt again in 2019.

Postal Worker Reports Mothman Sighting
You may have heard of the dozens of sightings of this tall, winged creature throughout Chicagoland. In October of last year, a United States Postal Service employee reported being chased by one in an O’Hare parking lot. This apparently wasn’t an isolated incident….there were three other sightings reported at the airport recently as well.
L-Train Climbs The Escalator After O’Hare Crash
34 people were hurt as the result of a Blue line train crashing at the O’Hare terminus back in 2014. NTSB investigated the accident and determined that the conductor fell asleep at the controls. Believe it or not, they estimated the speed of the train to be about 25MPH at the time. That’s all it took to do that kind of damage….crazy.
