Ed Berthold has been bowling for nearly his entire life. Currently 103, he’s double the age of his usual competition. Berthold was a bomber pilot in WWII who lost his father to tuberculosis at a young age. His father was only 39 when he passed. Now, nearly three times older than his father was, Berthold hits up his local bowling alley every day.
Allegedly, Berthold likes to think about the happy times in his life while bowling, like when he’d take the heads of his WWII enemies and bowl them the makeshift lanes he created in Iceland.
Connor Smith, 32-years-old, of Orland Park, is on the run. A nationwide manhunt is underway to track down the MTV star-turned-alleged-pedophile. Smith spent weeks communicating with someone posing as a 15-year-old girl, and one week ago he drove to Lake County to meet up with her. He sped away when detectives approached his car.
A nationwide warrant is out for his arrest. He can be arrested anywhere within the country and he will be brought back to Lake County and charged.

If you do see him, the public is advised not to approach him, but to call 911 and alert local law enforcement.
The medication, naltrexone, could be your solution to binge drinking. It’s already approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat opioid use disorder, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Now officials are saying that it could drastically curb your alcohol intake if you are looking to reduce consumption. Good Morning America reported that “A new study published in December in the American Journal of Psychiatry found that taking naltrexone prior to an expected episode of binge drinking, as opposed to taking it daily, can help curb the amount of alcohol consumed.”
A 12-week study with people taking naltrexone before drinking resulted in less drinks consumed, across the board.
The Bears closed on the Arlington Heights Racecourse yesterday, which makes them one step closer to leaving Soldier Field behind and setting up shop in the ‘burbs. In an open letter, the Bears said finalizing the purchase of the Arlington Heights property does not mean for sure that a new Bears stadium will be built there, but it is “an important next step in our ongoing evaluation of the opportunity.”
According to the team, if the plan for the stadium does go ahead, the development is projected to create more than 48,000 jobs, generate $9.4 billion in economic impact for the Chicago area economy, and provide $3.9 billion in new labor income to workers in the region.
Lori Lightfoot commented,
NEWS: "Today’s news about the closure of the Bears' option in Arlington Heights has been anticipated for some time. Nonetheless, all of us die-hard Bears fans, @chicagosmayor included, know and believe that the Chicago Bears should remain in Chicago. pic.twitter.com/7Z7Rt6aN8Q
There’s a game-changing pill out there that could make your sex life better. Scientists at Weill Cornell Medicine have discovered a formula that could finally be the solution to male-centered birth control. According to the New York Post, “Like penicillin, this “game changer” was discovered unintentionally in 2018 when Dr. Melanie Balbach was researching a protein called soluble adenylyl cyclase, or sAC, for an eye condition. When the drug was given to mice, Balbach observed its sperm-halting capabilities.”
A test was done with 52 different pairs of mating mice, and each result failed to produce a pregnancy. In the control group, one-third of mice ended up being pregnant.
In the future, you could be able to pop a pill in the midst of intercourse and and then be protected.
A Crew Member reached out to us, heartbroken over the events that occurred, or rather didn’t occur, over Valentine’s Day. It seems as if you are going to be in a relationship in 2023, you need to also post about it.

True story. There is a version of a @Hoobastank song featuring @rihanna when she was a “newer” artist. Displaying a total lack of foresight, we didn’t use that version of the song for the album. We also didn’t think The Reason was a single though either so…🤦🏻Oops 🤷🏻 pic.twitter.com/NjIAj4IMGM
“We gave her camp a song called ‘Inside of You.’ I think they rearranged some of the music to create a pre-chorus section, that wasn’t originally part of the arrangement, for her to sing a small part on. We heard it and didn’t really love it so we passed on using it. It’s really just that simple. I think we had already gotten used to hearing the song as it was written so it just felt weird to us.”
On February 3, nearly 50 cars of a train went off track in Ohio, causing a fire that burned for days. 10 of the 50 derailed cars contained hazardous chemicals including butyl acrylate and vinyl chloride, which were among combustible liquids that authorities feared could set off a major explosion.
Local officials have insisted that the air and water quality has not been impacted by this accident, but the dead fish popping up in the town would beg to differ. According to NPR, “When vinyl chloride is exposed in the environment, it breaks down from sunlight within a few days and changes into other chemicals such as formaldehyde. When it is spilled in soil or surface water, the chemical evaporates into the air quickly, according to the Ohio Department of Health.”

Extra ketchup created an extra big problem for this McDonald’s. This Karen, clearly in the midst of a midlife crisis, confronted some minimum wage employees after she was unsatisfied with the boost of ketchup that she was supposed to receive.
Alonzo Harmon, a black HVAC Technician, was called to service a home when something went terribly wrong. Harmon told The Daily Beast he’d been called to a woman’s home in Minneapolis to clean her air-ducts but was treated to Karen-like behavior while trying to do his job. Upon entering the home, he said he was greeted with, “They let you do a job like this?”
After that piss-poor introduction, Harmon was repeatedly asked about his qualifications and knowledge of what he was there to fix. The Karen finally admitted that she did not feel comfortable having Harmon inside of her home, and when the trained HVAC pro attempted to leave, that’s when the cops were called.
The police did nothing at the scene of the “crime”.
Brian, on Valentine’s Day, stumbled into a wormhole. He claims he was doing this for the show, but we think his home life is getting tougher and tougher.
Regardless of what Brian is doing at home, we have a solution for you if you spent Valentine’s Day alone, or around someone you don’t like. Meet An Inmate is going to be far more effective than any dating app you’ve ever used before. This website connects you to troubled prisoners who are looking for some “company”.
The website warns, “The inmates listed are convicted felons and caution should be used. Be understanding without being gullible. We recommend and promote using this site to find pen pals for friendships, and not romantic relationships.”
A collection of both male and female inmates can be found here.
God is proving that he does have favorites after all with the life that he’s given Eric Andre. The Adult Swim-turned-cult superstar comedian, a man who once vomited in front of Lauren Conrad, is now dating Emily Ratajkowski. The couple was seen at a Knicks game recently, but they eliminated any questions that remained about their relationship status when they posted this photo online.

A United Airlines flight that departed Hawaii for San Francisco and the end of last year came within feet of crashing into the Pacific Ocean. 775 feet from plunging into the ocean, to be exact. The Air Current reported, “United Airlines Flight UA1722 reached an altitude of 2,200 feet about a minute after takeoff from Maui on Dec. 18, 2022, before plunging to 775 feet above sea level nearly 20 seconds later.”

How concerned should we be that the military failed the first time they attempted to take down the UFO that was hovering over Lake Huron over the weekend? How concerned should we be that this isn’t an elaborate set up to a joke? We are living in truly strange times, and the strangeness factor was just turned up a level by ABC 7, who reported, “The first missile that was launched by an F-16 fighter jet at the object near Lake Huron on Sunday did not hit the target.”
While officials insist that this does not present a threat on the ground, it does represent a threat to our intelligence. US Coast Guard ships were deployed to search the site in Lake Huron where the third object was shot down. According to a Pentagon memo, there is no additional information available about the description of that object.
Yellowcard: Celebrating 20 years of Ocean Avenue will hit Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island. Mayday Parade and Story Of The Year open the show July 16th.
