White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer does not think the widely-acclaimed sketch from this weekâs âSaturday Night Liveâ spoofing his confrontational tone when dealing with the press, was funny. Â The sketch featuring the debut of âBridesmaidsâ starMelissa McCarthy portraying the PR man who wears suits that are too big for him.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Spicer said the show could  âcould dial backâ their portrayal of him but he took particular umbrage with SNL continuing to roast President Trump. This weekâs episode which also saw host Kristen Stewart slip an âF bombâ on live TV, opened with an Oval Office sketch where Alec Baldwin return as the Donald and featured White House adviser Steve Bannon portrayed as the âGrim Reaperâ. Â
âAlec has gone from funny to mean, and thatâs unfortunate. SNL used to be really funny. Thereâs a streak of meanness now that theyâve crossed over to mean.â said Spicer.
SNL continued to keep their comedic blast on DJT with Michael Che and Colin Jost where they roasted the current administration’s controversial executive orders.

After months of legal battles, the Double Door‘s battle with its current landlord seems to have come to a very unceremonious end this afternoon, as the music venue was evicted from the building it has occupied for the past 23 years. DNAinfo reported that Cook County sheriff’s police posted “no trespassing” signs on the Wicker Park building’s doors while a locksmith switched out locks on the doors around 11:30am this morning.
The lengthy legal battle between the Double Door’s owners and landlord Brian Strauss began back in November 2015, when Strauss began eviction proceedings and alleged that Double Door owner Sean Mulroney did not give proper notice of his intention to renew the lease on the space. When the trial finally ended in June 2016, a judge ruled that the Double Door would need to vacate the building and gave the venue’s owners until the end of 2016 to clear out. (MORE HERE)
To fans the Double Door is an iconic place for music worship. To the landlord’s of the building it’s a chance to generate money as a property owner. It’s a shame that such a great home for music in Chicago will most likely be turned into something with less of a heart.

3. Blue is the Warmest Color: You have to commit to this one: Itâs three hours and in French. But the story of two young women who fall in love in Paris is one of the most captivating and devastating romantic films out there.
4. The Office: If youâre not feeling a movie, watch the best Pam and Jim episodes from Seasons 2 and 3 to get that true love vibe youâre going for.
5. Step Up: Hear us out. It may have spawned a million sequels, but you can watch the true original, where Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan actually first fell in love. (MORE HERE)

The mission statement for Chicagoâs, uh, cheekiest anti-Trump protest is pretty straightforward: “Kiss Our A**es, Release Your Taxes!” The minds behind a new comedy enterprise are urging Chicagoans to join them on Sunday, Feb. 12 for a good old-fashioned mass mooning of Trump Tower, with the hopes of keeping light (and skin) shining on Trumpâs refusal to release his tax returns. As of Friday afternoon, more than 300 people had RSVPâed to attend and another 1400-plus were interested in Chicago Moons the Trump Tower. Ahh there we go they are back at it! Kings of Leon who had to postpone their January 23rd United Center show, were back at it playing on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ this week on NBC. The Kings rescheduled the show for March 8th and don’t worry if you got tickets for their postponed show they will be honored on the new date. If you didn’t get enough of Caleb and company, here is a recent performance on the ‘Tonight Show’.
Also has anyone noticed how really funny ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ has gotten recently? Especially since this past year’s Election season, this show has really become a must-watch show for me on a weekly basis.

If you haven’t been able to tell, I’m a big sports fan. Â I sprinkle stuff in when I’m on the air all the time. Â Yet I realize for many of you, sports rank a bit lower. Â What we have in common…is alternative. Â And that’s cool.
Sunday looms large, however. Â The Super Bowl remains the most viewed event each year, hands down. Last year it was even the third most viewed TV event….EVER. Â Which means many a non-pigskin person will be gathering to watch. Â And there you are, needing to rub elbows with people who…just know football. Â And no one wants to feel completely left out, right?

The NFL RedZone channel saved football fans about 35 hours of commercial watching this past season.  RedZone shows every scoring play in every game.  While they are waiting for scores to happen, they just show the team closest to pulling it off.  You can impress your football friends by telling them that RedZone is the only way you fly.

The city is hoping a proposed $500 million renovation of the Sears Tower will make the iconic, yet formidable looking building feel more open and accessible to the public. Plans for Chicagoâs tallest building include six levels of new retail and entertainment space, enhancements to the famous Skydeck observation area and a 30,000-square-foot outdoor deck and winter garden. On Tuesday, Mayor Rahm Emanuel disclosed some specific details of proposed upgrades to the building, which is owned by private equity and real estate investment firm Blackstone. â[Blackstone] is investing half a billion dollars in an iconic building,â Emanuel told the Sun-Times. âItâs an investment in the South Loop⊠[Sears Tower] will be more receptive to foot traffic for people coming, staying longer and also not going outside the South Loop for lunch. âWeâre focusing more on shorter form content to startâ Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on todayâs Q4 earnings call where he was repeatedly questioned about Facebookâs video strategy. One thingâs clear, Facebook will invest heavily. âI see video as a mega trendâ said Zuckerberg. Facebook will both pay video makers up front and through ad revenue sharing to get their content into its News Feed and video tab. Despite reports that itâs been in talks with TV studios and is building a set-top TV box, on todayâs earnings call, Facebook isnât going to immediately dive into funding a ton of TV shows and movies. Zuckerberg noted âOver the longer termâŠpeople will experiment with longer form of video as well in all kinds of different things.â But quick, snackable clips are âthe primary focus for the foreseeable future.â Essentially, Facebook is more interested in the YouTube model of collecting tons of quick video clips than investing in long-form shows or films like Netflix. It’s about time!! As a daily YouTuber I have waited for awhile for this program. I’m worried that any revenue generated from content at first will have to be used to pay for videos to show up in the News Feed as that seems to be the way the Facebook algorithms work now. Though I never seem to miss my mother’s political posts 9 times daily.
