While the most beloved supporting character on Breaking Bad was probably Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) himself — hence him getting a spinoff — easily the supporting character Breaking Bad fans most loved to hate was drug kingpin Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito). Walter and Jesse began working for Gus as meth cooks about halfway through the series run, and the lead duo quickly discovered that their new boss was not a man to be trifled with. This was a fact Walt came to know quite well, once he succeeded in getting on Gus’ bad side.
