Uber has teamed up with the Anti-Cruelty Society to deliver puppy playtime to Chicago residents for one day (today) only. The goal is to raise awareness about pet adoption and find forever homes for the puppies.
Use the Uber app to request “PUPPIES” from 11a. to 3p. If your request is accepted, you’ll get 15 minutes of snuggle time with the puppies for $30.
They say to make sure you have an enclosed space that’s ready to accommodate puppies. AND BE READY FOR A PUP-A-LANCH!!!
If you order puppies today, PLEASE tweet me pictures!!
Well so comes the best problem you might have all summer, if you can’t go to everday of Lollapalooza which day’s specific lineup is the most appealing? Here is the day-by-day lineup for Lolla ’17 with some big choices to potentially be made on Friday and Saturday. You could be in the wonderful predicament of having to possibly decide between seeing Blink 182 and the Killers or a triple threat of Lorde, Cage the Elephant and MUSE?! These are good problems though, right? We are so spoiled with Lolla.
Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington recently spoke up about reactions to the band’s evolving sound, according to a report from NME.
Linkin Park’s new album, One More Light, drops next week, May 19. Based on the singles “Heavy” and “Good Goodbye” (featuring Pusha T and Stormzy), some listeners have voiced their opinions on the group’s changing style.Bennington talked to Music Week about Linkin Park’s upcoming record and addressed fans’ attitudes concerning the band’s development. He says Linkin Park have advanced since their first release, Hybrid Theory, and implores fans to “move the fuck on” from the 2000 debut. “When we made Hybrid Theory, I was the oldest guy in the band and in my early 20s. That’s why I guess I’m like, ‘Why are we still talking about Hybrid Theory? It’s fucking years ago. It’s a great record, we love it. Like, move the fuck on. You know what I mean?” (MORE HERE)
Alternative music has evolved so much since Hybrid Theory. Everyday there’s someone that will disagree about music or argue that music from the past is better even though when the past music they are referring to was new there were people saying how the music that preceded IT was better. The passion for music is strong and the love of music we grew up enjoying will always be part of us. As long as you leave enough room for what’s next I think we’ll all be fine. It seems that’s all Chester is hoping for. Nothing wrong with previous music but give yourself and artists a chance to move forward and create another generation’s favorite music.
Could Tom Delong’s former Blink 182 side hustle be making a return? Their have been teases of this before but if Tom who doesn’t seem to have any plans to rejoin Blink anytime soon posts something on Twitter about getting his OTHER band back together it HAS to be true right?? And look Travis even posted “ha” in response!! It’s so happening!!
One of the funkiest and thrilling tracks off the latest RHCP album ‘The Getaway’ gets an indie movie style music video. Flea’s bass break near the end of this track that jumps into this chaotic guitar/drum attack from Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer is just a tornado of sweetness. It falls after these engaging lyrics about this very conflicted and stressed person. it’s easily my favorite song on the album.
The video features a female running from one social interaction to another stealing beer, making out with random people and it just infers she is running from a lot more than security guards with dogs.
The Peppers have been on a good streak recently with hit music videos. Another track off ‘the Getaway’ called ‘Go Robot’ drew more 11 million views showing off Anthony Kiedis as a ‘Saturday Night Fever’ style mime who must find his fellow body painted lover in a disco party that features Chad as an noneffective bouncer.
Pro wrestling: Folks who love it really love it, while folks who don’t like it love to look down on it.
The latest to illustrate this dynamic is Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followhill, who got shouted down by pro wrestling fans on Twitter in pretty hilarious fashion after sharing a snide thought on Sunday night.
The original Blade Runner blew me away when I first saw it. The world was so dark (and wet) in the futuristic year of 2019. Not much changes in the year 2049. Harrison Ford returns along with Ryan Gosling and Jared Leto for the sequel 35 years later. Check out the trailer! -wALT

Whether you’re cooking out in the backyard, at the beach, or in the great outdoors, the barbecuing is always better with an ice-cold beer. The Backyard Portable Barbecue Grill & Cooler Combo is the perfect buy for summer, and includes both a charcoal grill and cooler. Huge gas grills are great, but they aren’t exactly convenient. When you have a hankering for juicy meats and succulent veggies in any outdoor location, this is the duo you’ll want to have on-hand. (MORE HERE)
