What time are doors?
Doors are at 12pm. Pavilion will open at 2pm

If it thunderstorms, will it be cancelled?
We’re keeping an eye on the weather – If we haven’t announced any cancellations here, PIQNIQ is still on!

What time is INSERT BAND HERE playing?
Here is the PIQNIQ schedule!

Is the show all-ages?
Yup! Per venue policy, everyone over the age of 2 must have a ticket to enter the event.

Can I buy tickets at doors still?
Yes! Come join the party & purchase your ticket at the box office!

Can I bring (insert random item here) to the venue?
Items Allowed into the venue include:
>> Snack food in clear plastic gallon-size bag or 6-pack size soft sided cooler.
>> Factory sealed water up to a gallon in size
>> Low profile beach chair (no taller than 9” off the ground.)
>> Backpacks (subject to change based on event.)
>> Diaper bags when a child is present.

Items NOT Allowed:
>> Weapons
>> Alcohol
>> Drugs
>> Lawn chairs over 9” from the ground
>> Umbrellas
>> Laser pointers
>> Skates
>> Wallet chains
>> Ice chests
>> Banners
>> Flyers
>> Beach balls
>> Frisbees
>> Fireworks
>> Outside food or beverage (except as noted above)
>> Video and audio recording devices (unless otherwise noted)

Will there be Meet & Greets available? If so, how do I get in?
Yes! Theres a few ways you can score meet and greets:
>> Stop by the St. Xavier University tent to find out how you can get a commemorative SXU PIQNIQ bandana! Then, share a photo of you rockin’ your SXU PIQNIQ bandana using #SXUPIQNIQ for a chance to meet either The 1975 or Jimmy Eat World, or get a seat upgrade!
>> Highly Suspect will also be doing an autograph signing at the IDOT table inside of the 101WKQX North Concourse tent from 3pm to 4pm.
>> Keep your eye out for Bear who will also have ticket upgrades and last minute M&G passes.

I won tickets and I haven’t gotten a call with the info about the show yet, what do I do?
If you did win, your tickets will be at the 101WKQX will call outside of gates 4 & 5. Bring a photo ID to claim your tickets.

Where is the 101wkqx will call?
It is located at Box Office 4.

I won tickets, but my friend is coming later – can they still get in?
Sorry, tickets may not be dropped or left off for other guests!!!

I won tickets and can’t make it to the show anymore, can I give my tickets to a friend?
Sorry, unfortunately prizes are non-transferrable. Hope to see you next time!

Will there be a PIQNIQ T-shirt for sale?
Yes! This year we will have a PIQNIQ T-shirt and a 101WKQX hat for sale at the merch booths. The t-shirts are $20 and the hats are $15! See this year’s design:

I got my photo taken at the photo booth/M&G – when & where can I get it?
Your photo will be posted on www.101WKQX.com/piqniq no later than 5/26. Keep checking the website & it will be posted ASAP.

Netflix gets in the ring with ‘GLOW’

Goregous Ladies of Wrestling is remembered for it’s campy nature and over-the-top characters, not so much action-packed pro wrestling action fans have come to find in the genre. It had charm and was definitely a product of it’s time, but it stood as it featured exclusively women in throws of battle. It’s worth noting that the show was a successful wrestling TV show that was never produced by genre-king WWE. So it’s ripe for an adapted teleplay featuring credible talent on screen like ‘Community’ star Allison Brie and comedy titan Marc Maron with the faithful creative guidance of ‘Orange is the new Black’ creator Jenji Kohan serving as executive producer. It has a good dramedy tone and the 80’s aesthetic is really pure, based on what is in this trailer. The new series debuts June 23rd.

If you want to really love this story even more, seek out the documentary GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. it’s all about the real ladies who were really gorgeous and wild in this 80’s syndicated TV show and what their lives were like outside of the ring. Rompers For Dudes

Let me start by saying I loathe rompers.  If you don’t mind stripping naked to then hold your outfit up with one hand with toilet paper in the other while you balance to pee trying not to touch anything and struggle to keep your outfit off the port-a-potty floor at lollapalooza, then you would love a romper.  That’s just not a big enough grab for me. Not to mention, it’s not always a good look.  And if you have a long torso (as I do) don’t even TRY to lift your arms up, because that baby will split you right up the middle :X

But thanks to Chicago-based ACED Design, you men can share in the same unitard joy (kinda)

Do we really need to explain, rationalize and lend science to the newest fidget toy? Sure, you’ll feel like a dumbass while you play with it. But here’s the thing: Fidget spinners are fine. They are a children’s toy. Everyone’s got an opinion on the spinner. This weekend, people wanted you to know that there’s no science proving it helps with ADHD.  Like every toy fad, some schools have banned them, and teachers hate them. Others have even decided to analyze its controversial origin story.

Devil Horns Up: New Kuma’s Corner To Open In West Loop Next Wednesday

The grills are primed to be lined with those massive patties, and the figurative back door is ready begrudgingly allow for wayward hippies: the West Loop location of Kuma’s Corner, Chicago’s very own iconic metal burger bar, will officially open its doors next week, on Wednesday, May 24. Mark Wahlberg and Brothers Finally Bringing Wahlburgers to Chicago

As if Chicago doesn’t have enough burger places, celebrity/actor Mark Wahlberg stands poised to finally bring his chain to the city. Ownership didn’t share the address where they plan on opening a Wahlburgers, but they did tell Crain’s to expect a 2018 opening somewhere in River North. The burger chain’s Chicago arrival has been rumored for years. Construction should start in June, according to the report. (MORE HERE)
