Lollapalooza announced their daily schedule yesterday, revealing what bands will be playing Thursday-Sunday. Notably, Billie Eilish will headline Thursday, Twisted Xmas veterans The 1975 on Friday, Odesza on Saturday, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Sunday.

On March 27, a mass shooting occurred at The Covenant School, a private Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee. Surveillance video shows the shooter shot their way into the campus. Three children, as well as three adult staff members, were killed. Police noted two officers entered the building, ran toward the sound of gunfire, approached the suspect on the second floor of the school, and fatally shot them.

Everyone at Q101 sends their heartfelt condolences to those impacted by another senseless act of violence.

If you weren’t already drowning in options on Netflix, a new report from The Daily Mail has reported on a number of new, secret codes that can optimize your search and unlock hidden shows.

To enter the codes on your desktop, type “netflix.com/browse/genre/” into the URL and add a unique ID code. If you are watching Netflix on your TV, simply type the code into the search bar. This does not work on phones or tablets.

Kaerya, a woman from Algonquin, took American Idol by storm this week with her incredible audition. The daughter of Polish immigrants, Kaeyra grew up singing at her mom’s music school in Schaumburg and has since made an impact in the local music scene.

Her success is credited to her Polish parents, “It’s the reason why I’m so hardworking: seeing how hard they are working, coming from Poland and making their own businesses, and just making it work, learning the language along the way. Just seeing their work ethic and making connections.”

Days before March 25, the first anniversary of the passing of Taylor Hawkins, 100 drummers gathered with Belgian rock band Black Box Revelation, and together, they played “My Hero” in an effort to honor Hawkins.

The Foo Fighters will return to the road soon, with the legacy of Taylor Hawkins feeling like an honorary member of the band.

Is this a sign that the Cubs are desperate to attract fans? The 2016 World Series Champions (who have been awfully quiet ever since) have made a number of improvements to Wrigley Field over the off-season. When fans roll into Wrigley on Thursday for Opening Day, they can expect new things such as a trophy room, new LED lights, additional food options, and more.

Small Cheval burgers will be sold in the bleachers starting with Opening Day. You’ll also see Crispy Chicken Bao Buns, Greek Loaded Fries, Burger Brat, Crispy Chicken Torta, and Quesabirria. The team will also be offering 26-ounce souvenir “Beer Bats” at a few concession stands around the park.

The future is here…almost. It’s actually still in the future, but it’s coming. United Airlines and Archer Aviation announced plans to launch an air taxi route to get people from O’Hare to the Near West Side in just about 10 minutes. The two companies plan to start the service in 2025 between the airport and the Vertiport, which is a vertical aircraft take-off and landing facility.

ComEd is working with both companies to establish the power infrastructure for the service.

You heard the debut single, “Love From the Other Side” with Brian & Justin not once, not twice, but three times in a row when it first came out. Now you can listen to the full album. Fall Out Boy kicks off their world tour at Wrigley Field on June 21.

Depeche Mode: Memento Mori

Alternative legends Depeche Mode dropped their first album in six years today with the release of Memento Mori. The band sounds as good as they ever have with the release of “Ghosts Again”, the album’s premier single. You can see Depeche Mode at the United Center on April 5 and November 13.

Linkin Park: Fighting Myself

Linkin Park have once again dug into their archives with the upcoming 20th anniversary of Meteora and have pulled out another unreleased song. “Fighting Myself” comes from the Linkin Park archives and it sounds incredible. The track is built from an unused Chester Bennington vocal stem, with new rap verses by Mike Shinoda.

Lana Del Rey: Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd 

The polarizing Lana Del Rey is back with a new album, her first since releasing two LP’s in 2021. Her signature, sultry tone is back once again as Del Rey returns to vintage form with this gut-wrenching, 16-track release.

Meg Myers: TZIA

For the first time since 2018’s “Take Me to the Disco”, Meg Myers is back with a full length album. The eclectic frontwoman is best known for her take on Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill”, but Myers proved again with this record that her original output is just as strong. Meg Myers will be at Park West on April 26.

Bouncing Souls: Ten Stories High

One of the finest Northeast punk bands to ever exist, the Bouncing Souls are back with a new record, the 12th of their prestigious career. The boys will be back in town on May 11 at the Metro alongside Swingin’ Utters and the perennially underrated Samiam.
