OASIS REUNION RUMORS?!

Could one of the biggest duos in alternative be getting back together? We will have to wait and see.

Former Oasis front man Liam Gallagher promised fans “some serious RnR” on Twitter today.  According to the Guardian, Gallagher is preparing for a Tuesday show at Manchester’s O2 Ritz with all the proceeds going to the families of victims of the bombing attack in the same English city just eight days ago.

The timing of tonight’s show has reignited rumors and speculation that Liam could reunite with his brother, Noel. Insiders close to Gallagher refused interview requests, stating that tonight’s charity show would be an  “incredible, emotional gig – and there are a few surprises too”. Oasis’s hit track ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ was sung by a crowd of mourners this past week who had gathered to remember the attack victims. An online video of the moving scene quickly started create even more demand for the Galagher reunion.

Liam and Noel Gallaghar of UK alt-giants Oasis have not played together in eight years, amid a bitter feud that has been well documented. So seeing the Gallaghers back together would be a huge moment, especially considering how it will benefit those affected by the awful Manchester attack.

The reunion rumors got very hot on Monday when Liam wished his brother Noel, a happy birthday.

The rise and fighting fall of Oasis was put to film in last year’s comprehensive documentary “Oasis: Supersonic”. Check out the trailer

VIDEO: Snake regurgitates a live snake, we are sorry

This video will creep out your day. We apologize but this is must-see creepiness of nature in full display.  A man named Christopher Reynolds were driving along a road and saw the snake. As they filmed it, it spit out a live snake that it had recently swallowed. Reynolds in the original viral video claims the large black snake was likely scared, so that’s why it puked up it’s prey.  These are times when I feel good about my ability to chew my food and also the fact I am not inclined to eat other living people. No, I am zombie but if people were made out of pizza that might be a different story. Note some NSFW langauage in the video.

This may sound like another one of those weird stories that happen in Florida on a regular basis, but no, it’s big snake from the state where they like it all big , Texas. Enjoy more weird news wonders on ‘Is it Florida?’ with today’s edition of the Brian & Lou podcast.

VIDEO: Foo Fighters play on after the power gets cut-off at Bottlerock

The beloved Foo Fighters were closing out the Bottlerock Festival in the  wine country of the West, Napa Valley, California on Sunday but their last song was abruptly cut off by festival organizers due to a tight curfew. According to several reports including Billboard, the fest which takes place near a residential area has a strict curfew of 10pm and the band played past the curfew. This did not stop Dave Grohl and company from playing the finale ‘Everlong’ when the sound system and big screens were cut off, the crowd backed up the band on every note as they continued to play despite not being really audible to the massive crowd. It was a really special moment that reminds me how connected people can be by music, they just kept clapping and singing the words. The Foos and their fans played on to the finish the song, and that’s not something you can say about every musical group.

The cutoff moment comes at 5:28 into this fan-shot video by Steve Zanco and feels really magical.

Napa Valley got even more Foo with a pop-up show at an intimate venue, read about that here. Nothing will beat their HBO live show from Cubby Bear back in 2014., while promoting ‘Sonic Highways’.

Foo Fighters are set to release new music in the near future, as they work on an album between festival dates. They will be headlining the Glatonsbury this summer. They promoted that big date with a pop-up show in England in February, where they debuted two new songs “Keep Your Pretty Promise to Yourself” and “Run With Me.” Last month, Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins performed at a charity event where they played a new song called “The Sky is a Neighborhood”, watch video of that here.

‘Animaniacs’ set to to return

One of the greatest cartoons of the 90’s is about to once again be zany to the max as today IndieWire reports ‘Animaniacs’ is due for a return. The show was a spin off of another animated gem ‘Tiny Toons’, ran for five seasons between 1993 and 1998. It also helped the offbeat show was produced by Hollywood titan Steven Speilberg. For all the retro reboots in entertainment that are popping up nowadays, this one seems to be the most alluring return since ‘Animaniacs’ was such a different show especially for the children’s cartoon genre. It played like a sketch comedy show within the vessel of animated show with Speilberg’s touch for the grandiose and movie-scale music.

The rejuvenated love for the Warner Bros Yako, Wakko, and the Warner Sister, Dot was likely sparked when the show was added to Netflix last year. It reminded many how the show though directed to children, was genuinely a trans-generational exception playing the jokes up to the any viewer. Currently there is no announced network or streaming platform for the potential new episodes.

Channel Frederator goes deep into the show’s production history, how the  show stood out, and unique trivia.

Eddie Vedder Grieves Through Music in First Show After Cornell’s Death

I don’t know how else to put it, but “silently” paying tribute to the late singer of Soundgarden is how Eddie Vedder honored his friend.  Clearly it wasn’t silent.

During a solo show Saturday night in Amsterdam, Vedder never addressed Chris Cornell’s death directly.  But according to a fan in attendance, “the show was pretty much about Chris without directly mentioning him.”

Tiger Woods Arrested On DUI Charge

It’s been a rough few years for Tiger Woods, what with the philandering, breaking up with an Olympic athlete, and the complete and total lack of golf.

It was also a really rough morning today for the pro golfer, who was arrested and booked at 7:18 this morning for driving under the influence.

Deadspin has got a running article on this.  They’ll keep you posted.  Also, no one ever wins the mugshot game.  EVER.  — [eric]

‘Guardians of the Galaxy : Mission Breakout!’ Disneyland ride sneak peek

Disney’s first ever Marvel theme park ride in America ‘Guardians of the Galaxy : Mission Breakout’ opened this past weekend at Disneyland’s California Adeventure with much fanfare and high demand. Thanks to Youtube channel ThemeParkHD we have this first-hand look at the actually ride with the immersive holding area featuring outer-space creatures, appearances by the Gauridan characters,a rocking soundtrack, and an engaging story to the whole experience. It’s neat to see an animatronic Rocket Racoon spitting off wise-cracks. The whole ride looks really fun with well-crafted show of the fun of the ‘Guardians’ movies. Another fascinating part is that parts of the ride are relatively different during each individual romp making it more attractive to get back in line for another go.

As for the lines for the ride, that’s probably the only negative part to share.  According to Gizmodo and many posts on social media by Disneyland guests, the line for ‘Mission Breakout’ had an estimated wait of seven hours without a fast pass. The fast pass line was not significantly better with a reported wait time of five hours on Saturday.

The new ride has angered some Disney fanatics who were not fond of the new Marvel themed ride replacing the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror that stood in the same structure until recently. Still it seems like the Marvel Cinematic Universe under the ownership of Disney was bound to get some theme park love, and this looks like a great start. ‘Gaurdians’ director James Gunn  who contributed to the ride’s development,  had a very fun time at the ride’s premiere based on his Facebook post about it.

Inside the Magic conducted an interview with Disneyland imagineer Joe Rohde who gave insight what went into creating the ride and adapting the story for a theme park attraction.

MORE: Foo Fighters Cover Classic In Secret Bar Show

Russell first tipped you off to a small bar show the Foo Fighters played Friday night in Napa Valley, CA before they headline the Bottlerock Festival tonight (Sunday, May 28th).  You can see their performance of “Times Like These” in the link.  That’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a band like that in a intimate venue.  Kinda like our Lounge.

Found a bonus for you as social media continues to churn out what was captured.  Check out this Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers classic, “Breakdown”:

Am I really in a club with 200 people watching the Foo Fighters performing a The Rolling Stones music?
